Ruby is sitting on the living room couch at the King's household with her pet dog Cooper feeling nervous. While her mom is pacing back and forward in front of her, wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and white socks.

Jennifer stops pacing and looks at her daughter, "okay, I was fine with you going to Vale to get some rare weapon parts for your sidearm. But I didn't expect you to try to stop a dust robbery. That would be my job,"
"I know your angry, mom, but I didn't want them to get away with robbing the old men and attacking me, mom,"
"I'm not angry; I'm both proud and disappointed. I'm proud of you for doing the right thing, Ruby, but I'm disappointed that you throw yourself in danger without realizing what could have happened to you or the folks near that dust store,"
"I know that what the huntress told me," Ruby looks down to the ground, sighs, and looks back to her mother, "how much trouble am I in?"
"I say you grounded for a few days, no video games, no Tv, and you have to do extra chores,"
"And what Beacon can I still go,"
Jennifer smiles, "of course you're going to Beacon. That why your punishment is a few days,"
Ruby smiles back. She sets up and hugs her mom "thanks, mom,"
"No problem, kiddo." Jennifer hugs Ruby back and ruffles Ruby's hair. "I'm going to miss you,"
"Don't worry, mom, I'll write to you,"
"Hey, maybe I can find time from work to visit you and the new friends that you're going to make at the school,"
Ruby let go of her mom, "so do you want to see the new sidearm I made?"
"Sure,"
Ruby takes her mom to her room as Cooper accompanies them. They enter Ruby's room, and Ruby takes her mom to her desk, where her mom sees the sidearm that Ruby made. Jennifer sees that Ruby designed the gun as a mix of her Wastelander's Friend (10mm pistol) and a tactical knife that has a crimson color.
"So what do you think, mom?" said Ruby
"Impressive," said Jennifer
"Yeah, it's my second child,"
"And what are you going to call it?"
"Crimson blade,"
"I like it maybe then the first,"
Ruby made a shocking gasp "mom, nothing going to beat Scarlet Crown,"
"I know, but there is one advice I'll give you,"
"That is?"
"Try to date a nice guy or girl,"
Ruby blush, "mom!"
Jennifer laughs a little "Try not to stay up all night because you're getting up and cleaning out the gutter,"

"Hey, it could've been worse," said Velvet

Then the trio sees the news about Roman Torchwick and the dust robberies and the Faunus protest. Then Glynda Goodwitch interrupted the news and gave a speech to the students, and welcomed Beacon. Ruby and Coco see a blonde teenage boy in armored black, and orange hoodie throws up in a trashcan.
"Can you handle that," said Coco pointing at the boy
"Do I look like a janitor," said Ruby making Coco laugh as they about to arrive at Beacon
At Ozpin office, he looks at Ruby's adoptive mother's information on his Scroll, and he finds it unusual. Glynda walks into his office.
Ozpin looks up from his Scroll, "so how's the speech going?"
"It was fine, so what think of the info I gave you about the women who have been rising Ruby,"
"So the woman's name is Jennifer King, and Ruby was telling the truth that she was a cop. In fact, she is the Keystone police department's sergeant, and she was born in Vauco. Is that everything?"
"That's all that I can find,"
"Really,"
"Yes, the woman is certainly a mystery,"
"She certainly is. Now when is Qrow coming by?"
"About five minutes,"

A tall huntsman with spiky grey-black hair and vermilion eyes walks into Ozpin office. He wore a red tattered cloak and grey clothes—the huntsman stopped in front of Ozpin's desk.
"Qrow glad you came," said Ozpin
"What so important that you didn't want to talk over the phone,"
"Let's just say you went to hear this in person," Ozpin then pulls out a bottle of whiskey and puts it on his desk "drink?"
"Woah, whiskey, did someone die?" Qrow grab the whiskey and open the bottle and take a sip of it
"No, Ruby Rose is alive,"
This news causes Qrow to drop the whiskey on the floor and look serious "what did you say? You better not be joking,"
"I'm not. Summer child is alive,"
"How? I check everywhere near Summer body and didn't find Ruby,"
"Looks like someone find her before you did,"
"Where is Ruby now?"
"By now she arriving at Beacon,"
"How is she?"
"She fine Qrow she looking a lot like Summer and she even becoming a great huntress like her mother,"
"Can I see her?"
"Not right now. At the moment, it may not the best time for you to see Ruby when she is going through her initiation,"
Qrow sighs. "I guess, but you know my other niece Yang is attending Beacon this year right, and she and Ruby might run into each other,"

"But let me ask the most important question I have. Who is the person that found Ruby?"
"The person is Jennifer King, and she seems to be a mysterious person right now,"
Qrow puts his hands on the desk and looks Ozpin dead in the eye, "how can I help?"
