The class stepped through the portal and entered a land of vast darkness.
"This place is so dark… I can't see a thing out here." Naomi said.
"Yeah, me either. I can't tell why, but… It feels like it's trying to dominate all of us." David said.
"But why are we still intact?" Aruma asked.
"It's because of our powers. They're holding the darkness back." Sachiko said.
"Yeah, I have to agree. A normal human wouldn't survive in this kind of environment." Eri said.
The group soon saw Lance.
"So, you have come. You children have made quite the mess of things, you know." Lance said.
"That's exactly what we want to say, asshat! The Negati are your doing, after all!" Kazuma said.
"All my doing, you say? Have you even considered that there may be something going on that you weren't aware of?" Lance asked. "The heart is frail. Given the opportunity, it will give in, and return to darkness. I know this because I was once a being that kept the balance of positive and negative emotions in check, just as Balan once did."
"Like Balan once did? Then that means…" David started.
"That's right. I was once Balan myself. But then I got overwhelmed by humanity's despair and turned into this. I had to create another Balan to take my place and keep things going. And it's going to happen to him, then the next Balan, then the next, then the next… It'll be a cycle that never ends!" Lance said.
"That doesn't matter. We've kind of already figured it out." David said.
"You have? All this time?" Lance asked.

"Young Ishihara… Bless your kind heart…" Balan said.
"Yeah, he's right. Even if this cycle keeps going over and over, someone will always carry the torch!" Kazuma said.
"That's why we're gonna keep going until the very end! For Balan's sake...and for yours." Tsubaki said.
"...Very well then. Come! Show me the power you have mustered!" Lance said.

Lance did battle against the group, splitting himself into five charging at the group. However, the group managed to overwhelm him.
"Hmm… Impressive, but I'm not done yet." Lance said as he transformed into a beastly creature. He creates two shock waves that the class jumps over. After this, he charges up a beam that engulfs the entire battlefield, which the group managed to deflect. "What? How? No one has ever survived that!"
"Tough break there. Because we actually survived far worse!" David said.
"That's right. You have no chance against us." Kasumi said as the group begins to charge up a super beam, which is fired at Lance, hitting him and taking him down.
(end song)
"Ngh… So… It looks like this is it…" Lance said as he reveals himself as a pale figure with white hair.
"That form of yours… That's…" Ayase said.
"Yes. This is my true face. It was thanks to all of you that I can bring it out...one last time." Lance said.
"One last time?" Akira asked.
"Such is the fate of those in charge of the Negati, to be dragged back into the darkness… But… I am not scared. Now that I know that there are people like you who will carry on the will of light, should no one else be able to." Lance said. With a smile on his face, we slowly went back to the darkness.
It was at this point that Balan appeared in light with everyone they met in Wonderworld.
"Magnificent, truly magnificent! Never in all of my time in this place have I ever seen something like that." Balan said. "You have all been truly marvelous guests."
"Thank you, Balan. It was quite the riveting experience. I can feel us coming closer already." Kita said.
"This experience was quite riveting for all of us. We definitely needed it after what happened in Underworld." Naomi said.
"I am glad I can be of help, young ones." Balan said as he bowed. "But now, it would seem that it is time for us to part. Until we meet again...farewell." Balan said as the group made their way back to the hallway.
"We're back in the school hallway?" Kego asked.
"I guess barely any time has passed if the School Festival is still going on." Rankira said.
"Yeah, but all the same, David, Sachiko… What we said is true, when you two get back on the saddle, you can count on us to keep Tokyo safe while you're gone. We will not let Junko Enoshima's machinations happen to this place again!" Kasumi said.
"Thank you guys. Thank you all. Now come on, the Festival is still young, so let's get festive!" David said.
"Couldn't have said it better myself!" Maiko said.
