Author's note

No, your eyes aren't tricking you, this is a new chapter and its been a while. Sorry 'bout that but I hope this chapter will make up for it.

The chapter name is bad -.-

Eagle's joy before Cub

Wolf stood up and looked at his teammates' empty trays. "Come on, we have lessons"

They groaned and stood up, following after their leader "What do we have?" Snake asked.

"YAY!" Eagle bounced when he looked over Wolf's shoulder at the timetable.

"Oh no-" Snake resigned his fate

"Oh yes!" Eagle beamed and at Alex's face he explained "we have shooting!"

Alex groaned "Hey Jag!" Wolf started

"Yeah?" The teen grumbled

"Can you shoot?" Alex nodded.

"But not as good as me!" Eagle interjected

Wolf sighed and continued "But how well?" Alex shrugged as Eagle ran off to Q-Hut and typed in the password as fast as possible that if anyone watched you would need to see it in slow-mo to get even one number.

He grabbed the outdoor range's key and sprinted back out again, around the side and 10 meters to right to where the range was, this one didn't have a canopy and was flat grounded.

The rest of K-Unit entered Q-hut and walked over to the gun racks.

Walrus spun and fumbled a Glock-17 from 1982 (the first commercially successful polymer framed pistol. It's chambered in 9mm)

Snake was uncertain of what to choose but eventually picked up a CZ-75 (first introduced in 1975. It was the first commercially successful DA/SA "decocker" pistol that remained popular till this day hence why he chose it)

Wolf jumped back as Eagle sprinted back in and immediately grasped his favourite gun, a Ruger Number One (made in 1967, it brought the American's interest back to Rifles. This gun is a single shot rifle) "Eagle, we are using pistols today." Wolf commanded and smirked at the energetic man's expressions.

"Bu-b-but... fine." He put it down and wandered over to the pistol section and pulled out a beretta 92FS (is easily one of the most popular and recognisable pistols in existence and has been featured in many movies)

Wolf closed his eyes and pulled out a SIG Sauer P320 (which happened to be the beretta 92FS's rival in the 1980's)

Alex looked along every rack and collection and saw...

The gun identified that killed his uncle

The gun Yassen used to kill the man who dropped the computer

The gun Herod Sayle held to Alex's head

The gun Yassen killed Sayle with

The gun pointed at him whilst riding a wave, surfing

The gun under the car driver's jacket.

The gun pointed at Sabina

The gun that killed Yassen

The gun identified to snipe him, to nick him arm or leg, back or front to drive into him at countless occasions.

He saw all the guns that had been pointed at someone or him and he saw all the guns in so many more ways.

"What, you scared of a gun?" Walrus taunted.

Alex shook his head "what are you scared of then, the embarrassment of not being able to use one? Not knowing what gun is which? Not telling apart a shot gun from a pistol or rifle" Walrus taunted again.

Alex shook his head "I'm not scared of that, I'm scared that every gun laid out there I have seen before in action or beside the action." Then he almost screamed at himself for saying that, it would only make K-Unit ask more questions.

Their eyes widened and Snake even has a baby, little tear (Unnoticeable) in the corner of his eye, it was a silent prayer to will Alex to have a better life.

"Pick ya gun." Wolf said whilst turning around.

Alex chose his favourite the Glock-43 (its light weight, and slim single-stack making it perfect for concealment and Alex's part in MI6. Normally used as a backup gun hidden at the ankle, thigh, waist front, chest or lower armpit.) The gun no longer was a gun, it was now part of him and the others saw that the way Alex handled it was like it was meant to be there and no where else.

The exited and spotted the instructor walking over.

"TEDDY!" Eagle shouted and waved.

John walked over and nodded "Eagle."

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm your instructor today and I suppose your my first students." John smiled and had a certain scared emotion wash over him as he looked at Alex and saw how naturally the Glock-43 rested in his hand. He held back a shiver, the gun was commonly used by Scorpia and Alex held it in the same grace as a Scorpia assassin. But why though, he thought. "You've opened the range?"

"Yes!" Eagle bounced again, he clearly liked shooting, scratch that, he clearly loved shooting and it gave him joy, though it probably shouldn't as killing someone or even just aiming it at someone shouldn't give you happiness but Eagle loved shooting, just in the training part.

"Ok, good. Let's go in then." John was a happy instructor and was nothing like the other ones (fierce and forceful but John was carefree but got the job done)

They went in and up to some tables. "unassemble and reassemble your guns. Eagle you seem to know what your doing."

Eagle stepped up to the table "Yes, sir. I'm the weapon expert."

John nodded and spoke, a timer in his hand "on go, 3, 2, 1, go."

Eagle set off and finished with a time of 1minute 09.8 seconds

Walrus got 1minute 43.3 seconds.

Wolf achieved his best at 1minute 14.5 seconds.

Snake was more of a medic than a gun expert and got 2minutes 2.3 seconds.

It was Alex's turn "3, 2, 1, go." His hands flew over the gun and he stared ahead at John. He wasn't aware of himself doing it until he finished at 49.6 seconds and he saw the shocked faces of his team and instructor.

"Wha-what?" Eagle cried out. The rest just had their mouths dangling open

"Close your mouths or ya'll be catching flies." Alex said smugly. They closed their mouths.

"R-right, onto shooting." John said, he wasn't allowed to teach the soldiers instinctive and excepted that. "Eagle, if you would."

Eagle bounded forward, steadied to the correct position, aimed and fired, aimed and fired and repeated until all 6bullets were shot. 6 because that was the number of targets.

Everyone had shot but Alex and so far the scores where...

Eagle: 84%

Walrus:70%

Wolf: 76%

Snake: 64%

Alex was up and he stepped forward and shot, immediately. And the shots barely had a second between. In little time all 6bullets were shot and heard.

The targets came in and John was pale but scribbled down Alex's percentage. It was: 98%.

Everyone's faces were pale but only John slightly shook with fear.

"What?" Alex asked.

"WHAT! YOU ASK 'WHAT?' THATS INSTINCTIVE FIRING AND ONLY ASSASSINS LEARN THAT!" Wolf shouted with anger in his voice. A gentle hand rested on his shoulder, it was John's.

"Jaguar. Where did you learn that?" He asked

Alex tried to hide a flinch at the hand on his shoulder but it came out badly, a harsh flinch that everyone noticed and John was quick to remove his hand. Alex shook from memories of Scorpia, in a world of memories he forgot the whole classified answer and he breathed out "sc-" then he was brought back to reality "Classified." He snapped

John was scared the teen would say Scorpia for a moment.

"Enough with this 'Classified' s word, just tell us." Wolf was angry, very angry. And was trying to calm down.

The teen shook his head and walked out of the range and back to the barracks, Alex had 24 minutes until his next lesson, it was linguistics.
