"You look tired" erza starts the engine
"Yeah, we have exams coming up and uff" she clicks the seatbelt, letting her face fall on it
"You want a getaway?" Erza raises her brow
"That would be wonderful, please" Lucy places her hands on her cheeks, tilting her head to look at the red head
"On the day of your last exam?"
"Yeah! We should do that" Lucy fist pumps in the air
The drive goes slow, a lot of conversation and a stop at driveway to grab food, that was not healthy
Juvia was killing them with a diet, so that they would not look like the usual zombie's after exams
"Oh sweet Mavis...this is so good" she fake cries after a bite of her burger
Erza just chuckles at the girl, drinking from a tiny blood packet
The sun was setting faster, the nights longer and the winter winds
Lucy shivered at the chilly Air, scooting closer to erza for warmth forgetting
"You need natsu Lucy, not me..."
Lucy turns her head, no whips her head at erza who shrugs
"To warm you up..."
Lucy looks down at her burger, licking the end of her lips
"We are just friends, I can see him looking at me nothing more than a close friend"
"Oh baby, why did you fall for that jerk" erza cups Lucy's face "ill break a few bones"
"No!" She panics knowing her strength "please don't"
"See you defending him, it makes me really break them" she tsks at the smiling girl
Almost past midnight, lucy falls asleep in her car. Seeing that they are closer to Erza's instead of Lucy's house, she drives to the closest one
"Luce?" Erza taps the girl who opens her eyes humming "come, let's get you to bed"
Lucy holds erzas hands until the door, then linking them as she leans on her shoulder to walk with sleepy eyes
She makes Lucy sit on the couch leaving her, for a phone call to attend
"Erza? Are you home?" A voice steps down the stairs
"Oh my god...erza...I feel like dying" he keeps rambling, walking to the couch
"Why are you so silent?" He jumps on the couch from behind, the cushion making them bounce
Lucy's head falls on his shoulder, the knit-wear on her hair slipping showing her blond her
"Lu-lucy?" He stutters looking at her sleeping "wher-"
"Why you suddenly so warm?" She muzzles closer to him
Natsu straightens his back, placing his hand around her.
Pulling her into him, his cheek to the top of her head. The other free hand, holding her hands rubbing her cold tips
She pulls her legs up, going even closer to the body heater, hands wrapping around the torso
His breath might have hitched but heats his body more to provide enough for her whole body now
"Aww, Gray might puke" erza cooes walking infront of them
Natsu rolls his eyes, teeth clenched " Go do your unfinished work, ill go back to my room once she sleeps"
"I really think you need to decid-"
"Time. I need more time, I know I'm being selfish and all but...she is too precious for me erza. Until my feelings and few things are cleared, I think I will keep her holding onto me"
Erza widens her eyes, seeing natsu look at Lucy "you..." she starts but gives up "do what you have to do" she leaves them

"Hmmmmm...that was...haaaa" Lucy yawns awake, sitting up on the bed
"Huh...where...is...Erza?" She calls, taking the covers off her
Coming out of the room, the calls not stopping until she reaches the living room
"Ah, you woke up? Hungry?" Erza asks
"No, I'm not that hun-"
"Yo I'm leaving before she wake-"
And erza stood there between the awkward tension between the 2 idiots in love for a good 2 minutes
Clearing her throat, she takes a step to walk, but Lucy grabs her arm "actually I'm hungry, isn't there a convenience store nearby? Let me go get some drinks and stuff" she rambles walking out the house
"There is no store nearby...you!" She points at natsu
"Why is it always me! I was gonna leave too" he walks towards the door "I swear she will be death of me one day"
