So… I can't write anything… and i've had this idea in my mind for more than at least 12 showers since I started watching the show Sekirei. Just to get this out there, maybe I'll update this story… I don't know. But I wanted to get this out of my mind to focus on my main fanfic. If you guys are waiting for "Reincarnation" read this to pass time. I'm currently working on it but this idea was blocking my mind. Hopefully now with it out I can write my other fanfic again! I hope you enjoy this little idea, if you want more comment and I hope you are all staying safe!

Chapter 1

Stage One Of The Sekirei Plan

"The realms have gotten tired of the universe's order. Haven't they?" A young woman said. In the palm of her hand a glowing orb, showing images of forests, ice lands, cities, and kingdoms. Her large sky blue eyes watching the orb intently.

"It seems most realms wish to change who is in power. Why not let them have what they wish?" A slightly older woman voiced, her cerulean blue eyes focused outside their large windows. Space and forests meeting her gaze. Her hands carefully going through her wavy blond hair.

"Ladies please," A woman with curly, fiery red hair, a half up bun, and navy blue eyes, said with a voice that easily shun with command. "If it is a change they want. It shall be a change they get." Her eyes watching the orb the younger woman was holding carefully in her hands.

"Urd," The younger woman looked up. "Verdandi," The blonde woman looked away from the windows. "Why not give those beings the game they so wish for?"

Each woman smiled.

A game they wish. A game they shall have.

"Father, why is everyone meeting? A gathering this large hasn't happened in millennia." Thor said nervously, walking beside his father.

It had made Thor more than nervous when his father called him to a political meeting in the first place, Thor was willing to admit that meeting such as what he thought he was going too, was never his specialty. It was always his brother who was the mastermind at other realms and meetings such as a realm leader speaking about trade or something of the like.

But what really made him quake… was the fact that every leader was meeting in Asgard today for something not even Odin seemed to know. An all wide realm meeting hasn't been held in a long while. Not since the end of the Jotun war, and even then… that meeting had context. Why wasn't his father telling him anything? Why did it seem as though his own father had no idea what was happening?

"Father, is there anything you know about this meeting?" Thor asked for the seventh time.

Odin, for the seventh time, only shook his head.

The silence his father was giving him, made him even more nervous and he really didn't like it. He felt all wound up, like a spring being coiled up. It seemed anything would make him jump.

Soon enough… The royal pair was at the large oak doors. A lovely woman stood there, nervousness seemed to radiate off of her.

"Mother! You are here! Please tell me you have an idea on what's going on…" Thor said, hugging his mother.

She huffed a laugh, returning her son's hug. "I have felt much magic building. Whatever is happening today, is going to affect many things. We had better be prepared for anything, my love."

Thor nodded. Odin himself seems to hold his wife's words close. "Are we ready?" He asks. Looking to Thor then gaze softening once on Frigga.

"Yes my husband. I believe we are ready. My son?" She asked.

Thor took in a breath, just like his brother taught him, and nodded. If brother can get through meeting after meeting, then so can I. With new found vigor, he knew he could handle it.

The royal family nodded to the guards. They opened the large dark oak doors and stepped aside. Looking into the large meeting room, Thor couldn't help but shudder.

The room was a large courtroom. There was a large dark marble round table than another right outside the first, only it was raised a bit. Making it easy for the outside to table to still see what could be happening in the middle table.

Every royal or leader from the other realms were already gathered. Most talking among themselves, except the Queen of Niflheim, she always traveled alone. Almost every realm was here. Everyone but Midgard of course.

"Sister!" A woman's voice reached Thor's ears. "It is good to see you again!"

Thor turned to see the Queen of Vanaheim walking toward him and his parents. His mother walked away from him and Odin, a found smile on her face.

"Freya! My dear, it has been too long since I last saw you!" His mother said happily to the women, the two embraced. Queen Freya, though being younger, her hair was a lovely white. Her dress was a long and flowing gold. The crown of the Vanir, sat atop her head. Two small golden wings sat on each side of her head, the crownlet wrapped around her head, a large white gem sat in the middle of the golden band. It was rather basic but didn't deter the power that Thor could sense radiate from her.

"I figured it would take some grand meeting for me to have the time to see you." Queen Freya said, her voice loud and somehow soft at the same time. She really did remind Thor of his mother.

"I should have visited before… But I'm sure you understand, being a Queen yourself, my dear." Frigga said, one arm hugged around herself, the other on her cheek. While the queen of Vanaheim had young power to her, his mother was quite the opposite. The All-Mother radiated regal power. She held herself with beauty and grace. The Blue flowy dress shaped her perfectly. But the silver shoulder armor and chest plate did show her readiness for a battle. She wasn't a queen to mess with.

"Oh! Thor! You look as strong as ever!" Queen Freya said, a happy smile on her face once she looked at Thor. "Still look just as a protector of the realms should look! Strong and mighty!"

Of course Thor blushed at that. It was weird getting such compliments from his aunt. "I am pleased to see you again Freya. You wouldn't happen to know what is going to happen today, would you?" He asked.

She smiled. "The only thing I know is that a message went out to everyone. Everyone has a belief that with the magic that has been gathering, and the message, that we are about to have a meeting with the Norns." Queen Freya answered.

"The Norns!? There has never been a gathering as such in history!" Thor exclaimed. And… and his brother was going to miss it…

Thor shook the thoughts out of his mind. He can't be thinking about his brother, not right now anyway.

"This will be a day in history to be sure." His father said, finally adding himself into the conversation. "Now Thor, let us be at our seats. The energy is circling now, I'm sure it is time."

Thor nodded, Queen Freya headed back to her area at the table, his mother and him followed Odin. Thor looked around the room, seeing for the first time in his life everyone gathered in one place. His brother really would have loved to be here… he was sure about that.

The reason there was a table in the middle and one as a ring outside, was to show each respective power. The ranking of the realms in a way. On the outside table were the 3rd to 5th rank realms. The outside table had Svartalfheim, Nidavellir, Muspelheim and Jotunheim. The rest of the realms were in the middle table. Asgard being the 1st ranked, then the other realms following in 2nd. Vanaheim, Alfheim, and Niflheim filled the 2nd rank. Getting to be in the middle table for its power and standing.

Seeing all the different beings in one place really did through Thor for a loop. He hadn't seen the Frost Giants since his banishment. He hoped he could keep his mouth shut this time around. His brother had helped him the last time, but Thor didn't listen. He will keep his brother's words in his mind, making sure he won't mess up things further.

He could see different beings too, fire giants, dwarves and elves. Of course the beings from Alfheim were not all present. Only their rulers were here. Lord Frey and Lady Gred were both present and seemed happy to talk among themselves. The King of Muspelheim and the King of Jotunheim were, oddly enough, talking with one another.

Thor was happy to see the ruler of Nidavellir here, the Dwarves were a strong race. Plus he had their handy work to thank for his lovely hammer. The king seemed content just watching the other people. He did bring his son along, so they were talking quietly with each other. Prince Fafnir was the only son to King Hreidmar. To Thor it made sense the king would bring his son. After all, this is a once in a lifetime occasion, the king was right in bringing his son to see the Norns. If the theory going around was to be believed.

The prince, Prince Fafnir, was more talkative to the others around him though. He and the Prince of Jotunheim were chatting together. The prince was brought along with the king. King Helbindi has been crowned since their past kings passed. Prince Býleistr was Helbindi's brother. Thor felt happy to see them both here as well. It was about time his people got over their prejudice against the Jotuns. If not for himself, then for his brothers sake at least.

Thor did shudder a bit at one of the people in the room. The Queen of Niflheim. She was a lovely woman. Long black hair with strips of gray in it. Her hair was down and she wore a flowing black dress. Silver adorned her, it really made her look like the queen of the dead, but somehow the silver on her really worked. She was alone, clearly only watching everyone. Listening in on the conversations happening around her. She never had any guards around her, but that's because they were not necessary. No one would dare harm or try to kill the queen of the dead. She could do a whole number of things to you. Which made it easy for her to maintain her 2nd rank realm status. Being the realm of the dead it was no wonder why Niflheim was so important. Every realm's dead ended up under her rule. So best not to make her upset, lest you mess up your own subjects' deaths.

The room's noise instantly quited once a wind swept through the large room. Everyone looked up to the ornate ceiling. A small orb of light over the middle table. Everyone that was either not at their area or sitting down, instantly sat down.

"It is a pleasure to see everyone together." A voice rang through the room. The small ball of light grew in size. It split up, two other orbs of light floated a little under the first ball.

The light shined so bright, it blinded for a moment. Once everyone got their sight back, three beautiful women were floating above everyone. One young woman had brown hair, parts of her hair had braids mixed in with the parts just left loose. She wore a long sleeved white dress, a light blue corset on top. The dress was shorter in the front but long in the back. She wore knee high white boots, and had bronze accessories. There was a bronze crown on her head, a large white gem in the center of her crown.

The second woman floated next to the young woman, she was a little older but not much older than the brunette. Her hair was golden and wavy, two braids moving along the crown of her head making a ponytail flow into the rest of her flowing hair. She wore a gray tunic and had silver armor on top of that. Armor went down and covered her left arm and only covered her shoulder on the other. She had short gray pants that matched her tunic and wore thigh high gray boots with silver braces up to her knees. Her crown was a gray stone in the middle of her forehead with strings of silver stringing from the stone mixed into her hair.

The last women floated in the middle of the two others. She was clearly the oldest of the three, but you could only tell that from the wiseness and age that shun in her eyes. Her hair was curly and a striking red. Her hair was half up and half down, the part that was up, made up in a bon. It was wrapped in golden vines and leaves. She wore a long dress, it was black on the inside and she had a gold see through fabric over the black dress. She wore gold armor on her arms and her legs. She was the only one carrying a weapon open on person. It was a large golden sword and it definitely put the message across. "I'm deadly and elegant, be careful with your words." Her crown was a barbut that had a large black crystal on the top of the face opening.

"I am who see's what is coming into being, the one who can see all paths in life." The women in the middle spoke. Her voice was strong and instantly calling. "I am Skuld, the norn of future."

"I am who sees what is coming into being. The one who sees all that is happening." The woman to the left of Skuld said. Her voice was softer and sweeter. It was intrancing. "I am Verdandi, the norn of present."

"And I am the one who sees what once was. The one who knows all of the past." The last woman voiced. Her voice was young and sweet, but still had a tone of maturity to it. "I am Urd, the norn of past."

"We are the Norns." Skuld said.

"We have heard your prayers." Verdandi spoke up, her eyes going over each person in the room.

"And know most of you wish for a change in power." Urd said with a sly smile. The moment she spoke everyone was looking at one another. Some in anger, others in suspicion, and some surprise.

"So we shall give you what those of you want." The blond woman spoke.

"What do you mean Norns?" Queen Hela asked. An elegant eyebrow raised, while her arms were crossed in front of her chest. Her green eyes sharp as she watched the ladies in front of her.

"My sisters think most of you are right! In a need of change! So we have come up with a system for all the realms to do." Urd said excitedly. Glee clear in her sky blue eyes.

"Norn Urd, what do you mean?" The All-Mother asked, her tone as calm as ever. But fear and curiosity in her gaze.

Urd turned and faced Queen Frigga. "Well, your highness All-Mother, the other realms wish a change in the ranking order. It seems they have enough of Asgard on top."

"A game we have made. A way to see who is the strongest and the best for the top rank." The present Norn added.

Skuld nodded and opened the palm of her hand. A glowing clear orb formed in her hand and soon the world tree was visible. Then every realms named showed up on it. "I do not believe I must tell you all of the ranking order do I?"

Everyone shook their heads. The prince of Nidavellir spoke out loud. "The ranking of the realms is who is in change, the most powerful and influential to the least. Starting from Asgard and ending with Midgard. There are five ranks in the order that exists now. Asgard is the 1st rank realm. 2nd belongs to Niflheim, Vanaheim and Alfheim. 3rd has Svartalfheim and Nidavellir. 4th houses Muspellheim and Jotunheim. Lastly, the 5th rank is meant for Midgard."

"That is perfectly correct young Prince Fafnir." Skuld said after the Dwarf prince spoke.

"What is this game you speak of Norns?" King Helbindi asked. Clearly interested in whatever the Norns were speaking of.

"Thank you for asking King of Jotuns! This is a game that will change everything!" Urd said with utter excitement. It was very concerning to Thor.

"The rules are simple. Each realm will get five champions to represent itself. Once each realm chooses their players, the game starts. The realm with the most wins will be placed higher in rank at the end of the game. The way to get wins, is to defeat more players from other realms. Be the last realm standing and have the most wins, and you win. Each realm depending on where you lose, will determine your rank at the end of the game." Verdandi explained. The orb showing each thing she is speaking of.

"The players will be called Sekirei's. Their masters, or each of you, will be ashikabi's. You will have five champions each. Each of your own choosing. The trick is, whoever you pick must take on a female form to fight in our eyes. Choose your people wisely." She continued. "As for a certain realm that is not here, the realm in 1st ranking, will find champions for them."

"Why must Midgard participate!? They didn't even know the realms existed up until Prince Thor opened that realm's eyes to us! They do not deserve to be in this 'game'." King Surtur voiced, more yelled.

"Calm yourself King Surtur. We are not okay with being unfair to any realm, for each is under our watch. If each of you are wishing for a change, then Midgard will get a fighting chance for a change as well." Skuld answered, a clear annoyance in her tone toward the king of fire giants.

"Why not make it fair and lower their champions! If they only just now learned of us, they should have as much players as to their knowledge." King Hreidmar suggested. A few people around him nodded in agreement.

"If they are of being fair, then they will leave it at five for them!" Thor yelled back.

"Your heart is soft for the weak realm!" Queen Alflyse yelled, slamming her hands on the dark marble desk.

"They shall get what they deserve and to participate is fair enough." Prince Býleistr added.

"I agree. Make it fair to how they are." Lord Frey spoke up.

"It makes sense." Queen Freya said with a small amount of apprehension.

Soon arguing broke out, most against Thor's words in trying to defend Midgard. Odin and Frigga only listening but choose to stay out of it. Thor was really trying to keep his brother's words in his mind and mind his temper, but he knew he was quickly losing that fight.

"Silence!" Three voices yelled together.

In an instant, everything was quiet, and everyone was focused again on the women.

"To placate the majority of you, Midgard will get one champion, chosen by Asgard. The rest will be five to each of you. The game will officially start once the last Sekirei emerges. A Sekirei will easily find a ashikabi, since one ruler from each realm will be said master." Skuld spoke on. Every person in the room taking in the information.

"For Asgard it will be either Odin All-Father or Frigga All-Mother. For Niflheim it will be Queen Hela. For Vanaheim it will be Queen Freya. For Alfheim it will be either Lord Frey or Lady Gred. For Svartalvheim it will be Queen Alflyse. For Nidavellir it will be King Hreidmar. For Muspelheim it will be King Surtur. For Jotunheim it will be King Helbindi." Verdandi listed off. "Tell me now. Who is to be the ashikabi for Asgard and Alfheim?" She asked, already expecting those rulers to choose.

"Frigga, I will take on this responsibility. But please be there with me, my love." Odin spoke quietly to his wife. She nodded and smiled.

"I will always be with you my husband, now tell your answer to them."

Odin looked back up to the Norns. "I will be this… ashikabi, you speak of."

The three women nodded and looked over to the couple of Alfheim. "And your answer?" Urd asked.

The lord and lady looked to each other, a silent conversation to themselves, then a smile with one another. "I will be the ashikabi, Norn Urd." Lord Frey said with confidence.

"Well then! Let this game begin! The first stage is thus. Choosing your Sekirei. Each of you have five small papers with you, once you mind the ones you want to be your champions, place the paper on the back of the person, right below the neck. It will give the Sekirei not only their mark of being a player but also change them to their form. To emerge the Sekire, they must have a bit of the ashikabi's DNA. Be it blood or saliva. So long as it ends up with the Sekirei." Urd explained, the papers showing up in fives to each of the players. "Think carefully before you mark the Sekirei, once you choose them, you can't take them out of the game or change your mind."

"May your choices be correct and may your ranks change to your liking. There will be an announcement once all Sekirei are emerged. Asgard's ashikabi, set the champion of Midgard there, as soon as you choose who you think is best suited for the responsibility." Verdandi spoke. Urd and her form glowing brightly.

"I suggest you all enjoy the game you asked for. May you remember what is at stake. Your rank, power, and standing in the universe's view. Enjoy the new universe order." Skuld said as her form started to glow.

"Begin stage one of the Sekirei plan." All three said at once as they became small orbs of white light once more. They all formed into one ball of light, as when they first appeared. The ball brightened and blinded the room again. When the light faded, all signs of the Norns were gone. The magic sensed before was gone as well.

Everyone sighed a breath. A game to determine who will be most powerful was now in effect. The Norns were watching and now everyone's rank could change by the end of this game. Everyone looked about to each other, no longer seeing lower kingdoms or high powers but now seeing enemies and competitors.

Thor himself looked around, a few people already standing up to return home. Everyone's mind racing with people who could be these 'Sekirei's'to champion and move up each others or maintain their ranking.

"Well it was certainly a fun day with all of you, but I must take my leave and find my champions." Queen Hela spoke as she waved her hand, a blue flame on it. Soon it enveloped her and once it cleared, she was gone.

"We must be off as well." Lord Frey and Lady Gred said as they stood up. They kept their eyes forward, clearly in thought about the situation.

Soon enough every person not of Asgard had returned to their realms. Leaving the royals of Asgard to their own devices. Who would they choose? Who would be best for the game and be okay with not only playing but being changed in form? They also had to pick Midgard's player… who was going to be that person!? If there had to be an ashikabi for the sekirei, who was to be the person to play for Midgard. Now they had to find the sekirei and the ashikabi for not only the game to start but to let Midgard participate at all.

Thor was lost in thought but the other two royals both had one thought in their minds.

If we must pick a player for Midgard… why not pick the person we don't know what to do with?

He truly had no idea how long he had been sitting here. The prisons weren't ugly but certainly weren't where he would like to be… He missed his room… his books and his training. He knew Odin was still deciding his fate, which would be chosen soon enough.

Loki could tell something was happening today… he could feel it. The magic in the area around him was stronger than ever. Something was happening and Loki had no idea to what said thing was.

He knew he wouldn't figure out what was happening so he tried his best to ignore it. By watching the other prisoners in the area or listening to the guards, whatever he could do he would do to pass the time.

It had been 7 month, as far as he knows, since his failed invasion. And so far his sentence was solitude in the prisons for the rest of his natural life. He knew the old man would come up with something worse but what that would be, he couldn't tell.

The magic in the air dissipated… everything felt back to normal to Loki. Which made it even weirder to him. Yet still no word on anything so it might not be as bad as he is thinking.

Soon enough it was night time in the prison, not like Loki could see the sky, he could only tell based on the guard rotation. He came to know the guard for each shift, it came in handy for him to keep time even though he didn't know why he wanted to. If he was never going outside again, why keep the time?

Like every night before, he walked to the left corner that was mostly wall and not the golden forcefield that kept him in, to get ready to sleep. He slid down the wall, his knees coming up and he wrapped his arms around them. He hadn't had a decent night sleep since his fall from the bifrost… and it was likely this night would be no different. He just couldn't sleep. And his nights were robbed from him for the same damn reason.

All because of his master.

But still… he closed his eyes and tried to suck in as much sleep as he could before the nightmares started and he either suffered a restless sleep or woke up shaken.

All I can do now is wait for my punishment and take it. They won't believe me anyway so why bother telling them anything?
