AN: Third chapter guys, here we go! Also, review for what Pokémon Ethan should catch in his adventure!

Me and his Pokémon walked around Viridian City, slightly disappointed by the small size of the town, especially since it was called a city. I took his Pokémon to the PokeCenter and healed up his team. I walked to the PokeMart and bought some pokeballs, potions, and antidotes. I then saw a gym and became excited. I ran up to it but saw that it was closed.

"What are you doing here?" asked a man in an ace trainer outfit, walking towards me from beside the gym. "The gym is closed and the whole city is in the process of evacuating, by the order of the gym leader Blue."

"Well, that sucks." I sighed. "Let's get going guys." Ethan and his team walked over to route 22. "I wonder what I can find here." He walked around for a little while, and then he saw a rustle in the grass. "Pidgey, use Gust!" I cried, and Pidgey blew a couple gusts of wind towards the grass, and a Mankey came tumbling out. "Pidgey, use Gust again!" I cried, and Pidgey blew more gusts of wind at the Mankey, knocking it into low health. "Now go, pokeball!" I threw a pokeball at the Mankey, but it just bounced off.

"Hey, don't take my Mankey!" shouted a girl, running up from the trail at the bottom of the route. She looked to be around 16, with a navy-blue tank top, black jogging pants, and had bandages wrapping around her feet, which had no socks or shoes on them. "Hey, Mankey, are you okay?" She asked it, kneeling next to it. Then she turned on me. "Why would you attack him?! He was over here, minding his own business, and suddenly you attack him and try to take him!"

"My bad!" I said, stepping back. "I thought that he was a wild Mankey, and I wanted to catch it! How was I supposed to know that he wasn't wild?" I exclaimed back. She huffed at me. "Anyway, I'm sorry. I'm Ethan, what's your name?" I asked her.

"Alicia." She responded

"Cool. Hey, can you help me find a Mankey around here please?" I asked her. "All I have found are Ratattas, which its Normal type is covered by my Pidgey and Eevee, and Spearow's Normal and Flying Types are also covered by my Pidgey and Eevee."

"Sure." She said, and we both started searching. "Hey, I found a few!" She called, and I ran over.

"Go, Pidgey!" I called. "Use Gust on the Mankeys!" Pidgey blew a bunch of gusts of wind at the group of Mankeys, sending them sprawling. "Follow up with Sand Attack!" Pidgey kicked up a bunch of sand into the air. "Now use Gust on the sand towards the Mankeys!" The Mankey all started rubbing their eyes to get the sand out.

One finally got all the sand out of its eyes, and lunged at Pidgey, using Karate Chop. "Dodge it and use Gust!" Pidgey couldn't dodge but was still able to launch the super effective Gust at the Mankey, launching it into a tree. "Go, pokeball!" I cried, throwing one at the Mankey.

It suddenly broke out and glared at Pidgey menacingly. It lunged at Pidgey, glaring at it and lowering its defense. The Mankey then used Karate Chop on Pidgey, slamming him into a tree. "Pidgey!" I cried. Pidgey weakly hopped out of the tree and started flying again. "Now, use Gust!" Pidgey blew another bunch of gusts of wind at the Mankey, sending him flying into a tree. "Now, go pokeball!" I cried again, throwing another pokeball.

"Alright!" I cried, thrusting my arm into the air. "I now have a Mankey!" I turned to Alicia. "Thanks for helping me catch a Mankey. Where are you going?"

"I'm going to Pewter City. I have some... business to take care of there." She replied, looking north. "Anyway, where are you headed?" she asked, turning back to look at me.

"I'm going to Pewter City as well, I'm doing the Gym Challenge, and the gym in Viridian City is closed, so the next one is in Pewter City. Why don't we go together?" I replied. She just shrugged and we started walking. "Wait, let's go to the Pokecenter! My Pokémon need to heal." We both walked to the Pokecenter, and I healed my Pokémon. We both then walked back to Route 22 and walked North. Suddenly, Jake walked out of nowhere.

"Hey, long time no see Ethan!" He called. "I see you have yourself some Pokémon! Let's test your strength! I challenge you to a Pokémon battle! Go, Pidgey!" He trew out a pokeball, and a Pidgey emerged.

"O.K. then, I accept! Let's come on out, Eevee!" Eevee erupted from the pokeball that I threw out. "Use Sand Attack!" We both cried, and they both kicked up sand.

"Pidgey, use Gust to blow the sand at the Eevee!" cried Jake. The Pidgey blew gusts of wind at Eevee, sending the sand in his direction.

"Eevee, dodge and use Tackle!" I cried, and Eevee jumped away from the sand and lunged at the Pidgey, slamming into it and knocking it out of the air. "Now use Tail Whip!" Eevee jumped in front of Pidgey and whipped its tail around, lowering Pidgey's defense. "Now, use Tackle Again!" I cried, and Eevee slammed into the Pidgey, sending it flying into a tree, and knocking it out.

"Urgh, whatever! Return Pidgey!" He snarled. "Go, Charmander!" He threw out another pokeball, and his Charmander emerged. "Use Ember!" He called, and his Charmander spat out a ball of fire at Eevee. It hit Eevee, sending him flying into a tree and knocking him out.

"Nice job Eevee, you did good." I said, returning him to his pokeball. "Go, Mankey!" I called throwing him out of his pokeball. He looked around and saw that he was in his first ever battle. He looked at the Charmander and flexed. "Mankey, use Karate Chop!" I called. Mankey flew at the enemy Charmander and raised his hand.

"Charmander, use Ember!" cried Jake. Charmander pulled his head back as Mankey swung his hand down. Charmander then spat out a ball of fire at Mankey's hand. Mankey chopped through the ball of fire and chopped Charmander on the head, knocking him into the ground a little bit. "Charmander, smack him with your tail!" cried Jake. Charmander whipped its tail around, and smacked Mankey to the side, sending him tumbling. "Now, use Ember again!"

"Mankey, use Karate Chop on the Ember!" I called, and Mankey chopped it, causing it to dissipate. "Now, lunge at the Charmander and use Leer!" I cried. Mankey lunged at Charmander and glared at the Charmander, lowering its defense. "Now, use Karate Chop!" Mankey swung his hand at Charmander, but Charmander dodged.

"Now, Charmander, use Ember!" called Jake, and Charmander spat out another fireball.

"Mankey, dodge!" I cried. Mankey tried to lunge to the side to dodge but dropped down to one knee. Charmander's Ember hit Mankey full force, knocking him out. "Mankey, you did good. Return." I said. "Come on out, Nidoran!" I called as Nidoran erupted out of his pokeball. "Now, use Focus Energy!" Nidoran closed his eyes and started focusing.

"Charmander, use Ember!" cried Jake. Nidoran opened his eyes and dodged. He then lunged forward and kicked Charmander twice, once in the chest and once in the head. I looked down to my BattlNav.

"Nice, you learned Double Kick!" I cried. "Let's do it once more!" Nidoran lunged forward again and kicked Charmander twice again, this time both hit his chest. Charmander got knocked into a tree, and after the dust cleared. Charmander had fainted.

"Worthless." snarled Jake as he returned his Charmander. "You better get a move on. You're going to slow!" called Jake as he ran away.

"Nice! You beat him!" cried Alicia, running up to me. "Your whole team looks hurt though, we should take them to the PokeCenter." I nodded, and we both walked back towards the city.
