*Izuku Midoriya*
"Well, you are all going to be…"
What is it? Here comes the huge blow. I had better remember every detail of what sensei says so that I can record it in my journal as soon as I get back. I don't want to miss anything out.
"You are all going to be endeavouring on a month trip to help people and Hero's around the world with their work. This is a new way of testing students to prove whether or not they are cut out to be a hero." The class gasps in excitement. The energy of the room completely transformed from worry and anxiety to surprise and happiness. Katsuki just raises an eyebrow and shoto seems expressionless.
A trip? Around the world? To support pro Heroes and save citizens? That can't be right, we haven't even graduated yet! I must be dreaming!
"Over the months you will be set 3 different missions in 3 completely different parts of the world. For the main tasks you will be split into teams, and the people you are out with are to be deemed the most compatible with you. This means that you are more likely to be closer to them, more than anyone else. Whether the relationship you have with these teammates is just friends or lovers is completely up to you. The closer you are the better. During the principle tasks you are to protect these people with whatever you have, and if needs be, this may mean protecting them with your life. There will also be small tasks to complete with your team that must be completed during the time you are not working, these are designed to bring you closer. You will be more likely to protect them with no hesitation. This theory will then be put into use for every person that is in danger; we are hoping that you will see your teammates in that person or people and instantly try to get them to safety. In the past the government would never have approved of a test like this where students have been in danger, but they have decided that because you lot have been through so much and already know the risks and dangers. They feel as if the test will proceed to educate you young heroes further than anyone your age has been before, making you the most promising upcoming heroes in history." Aizawa finishes, looking around at his class.
"Sir," Mina starts, "If you don't mind me asking, who exactly are our teammates?"
"Ah, about that. To determine your teammates we needed to get an expert in to help." Aizawa nods at the window in the door and the class turn their heads to see a plain young woman walk in. She has mousey hair that is tied up in a messy bun, pale skiing, a small frame, and she wears dark framed glasses. "Everyone, this is Akari."
"Hi.." The woman says sheepishly. The class echoes a 'hello' back and watches as she glimpses over everyone, a look of surprise momentarily crossing her face before she starts to write in her notebook. She stands there for a total of three minutes before she looks up at Aizawa and nods before handing him a piece of paper she ripped from her book and walks straight back out of the door she came in from.
"She isn't the most social of people," states Mr Aizawa as he looks at the piece of paper. "That lovely young lady has a quirk that allows her to envision the compatibility of people through their aura. Right, the first group is to be Kirishima, Sero and Kaminari. The second team will be Yaoyorozu, Asui and Uraraka. The third will be Hagakure, Ojiro and Tokoyami. The fourth is Shinsou, Jirou and Ashido. The fifth team will be Midoriya, Bakugou and Todoroki and the sixth team will be Sato, Shoji and Koda." Everyone seems to look happy at their teams, and are all whispering to each other.
Sho-chan and Kacchan? Oh god, what is this feeling? My heart is beating so fast! My stomach is uneasy. Am I sick? Did I eat something bad?
"There is also something else that I should mention. We are not going to start traveling to our first destination for another 5 days yet. So, during these 5 days Principle Nezu has suggested that you all stay at one of your teammates' houses. This will ultimately let you get to know them properly if you don't already. Your parents have already been made aware of the situation and the teammates' house that you will be staying at is being determined now. You will be informed by the end of the day. Now, you need to get your homework out. I have put the answers up on the board. You are to mark these, and only once you have done that are you to talk between yourselves. I, for one, are going back to sleep. Don't make too much noise or the principal will hear about it." Mr Aizawa looks around the class before resuming his previous position in the corner of the classroom.
What is happening? I guess I'm just in shock at the minute. It will most likely be Kacchans house that we will be staying at. This is all so sudden! I can't believe this is happening. I must be sick, my head is spinning and I can't think straight. My heart is beating way too fast! Most compatible? Relationship?
Izuku starts mumbling to himself as he reaches to grab his homework out of his bag. The class has already started whispering despite Aizawa's warning. Who can blame them? They have just been told that they are going to be traveling the world whilst completing missions with pro Heroes!
"Aww no, I got 3/10 again!" Whines Kiri from across the room.
"Oh really! You did so well! I only got 1.5/10!" exclaims Sero.
"Aww, you guys are so much better than me! I got nothing!" grins Denki, his arms resting on his boyfriends shoulders.
He looks way too happy with the new arrangement. I mean from his POV I can't really blame him. It's not everyday that he gets to go on a 4 month vacation with Kiri and Sero. They were lucky to be in the same team though. Or maybe they were meant to be. But 4 months! 4 months to complete missions with Kacchan and Sho-chan, and in that time I might be living with them as well! But first, I need to focus on these first 5 days. They might not be as easy as I think. I need to see recovery girl to do something with my heart rate. It is way too fast to be healthy, at least I think it is, and I don't think it is because of nerves about the trip.
Izuku circles the 10/10 on his homework and gets up from his seat to head to recovery girls' office to feel a soft hand on his shoulder. He looks around to see Katsuki looking at him curiously.
"What you doing nerd? It ain't lunch time yet."
"Oh, hey Kacchan. Yeah, well I'm just heading off to see recovery girl. I have something I want her to check out. You don't have to wait for me at lunch, I don't know how long this is going to take. Oh, and can you tell Mr Aizawa that I might not be back in lessons today?"
"Yeah, but why? Are you sick? Are your old injuries hurting you again or something? Do you have a fever?"
"Erm, well not exactly."
"Well? What is it?" Maybe Kacchan can help me. I don't have to mention that he is one of the people that makes me feel this way.
"Well, the thing is, I think I might have a problem with my heart. Over the past couple of days whenever I am around specific people my heart starts racing really fast. It has happened before but not this much, I think that it might have something to do with my quirk. Why did you ask? Do you know what is happening?"
"Damn nerd." Kacchan puts his head in his hands. "Do you get any other 'weird' feeling around these people?"
"Now that you mention it, yes. I kinda get a weird tickly feeling in my stomach that makes me feel slightly sick, like when I'm nervous. It's kind of strange."
"Damn nerd, that feeling that you get is called butterflies. You obviously feel like this while you are around these people because you like them. Did you really not realise that?"
"Like them? Well yeah, they are my friends so of course I like them. What does this have to do with my 'butterflies'?"
"You idiot! I mean that you like them as in you have a crush on them! You have feelings for them! You might even love them!"
" W-what? That can't be true! But now that I think about it, maybe you are right…"
" Who are they then? You kept on saying 'people' instead of person so that means that there are more than one of them. Tell me who they are!"
"I-I can't do that!" I can't let him know, it almost certainly won't end well if he finds out.
"Why not?"
"Because they are in this class! They might overhear if I tell you! If i still told you anyway the secret will still get out anyway, it would be a matter of time before they find out!"
"Hmph, fine. You can tell me later instead." Phew, that seemed to have worked. "Oh, by the way it is probably going to be your house that we are going to be staying at, I'm living with my grandparents for a bit. My parents are on a holiday." Katsuki says, a hint of jealousy still sits in his eyes.
"Yep," Shoto joins in from his desk nearby, having heard everything. He too looks jealous. Izuku is now sat back down in his desk as well. "My old man would never let me have a friend over for even 1 night never mind 5, even for school stuff."
"Oh, well I'm sure my mum would be fine with it. The only problem is, we don't have any guest rooms. The house was made to give me extra space for training and my mum to have a huge room and office. Her office is the room next to hers that would have been a guest room had she not used it as an office. All might stays in my mum's room when he does stay over. I do have a huge bed though, why don't you guys sleep on my bed and I can take the sofa? Or, we do have an inflatable mattress. How about I sleep on the floor with that and you guys decide between yourselves who is going to have the bed and who is going to have the sofa." Shoto and Katsuki both look at him with surprise.
"Izu, that's not fair on you. It is your bed, and you are the one who is going to be taking us into your house if that is the case. You should take the bed and we will take whatever is left." Shoto says.
"Yeah nerd, Icy-hot is right for once. Also I don't see what the problem is with us all sleeping on the bed. You said you have a big bed and there are only 3 of us, plus we are all guys as well." Katsuki states, smirking.
"Kacchan! Have you forgotten? I'm gay! Wouldn't it make you and Sho-chan uncomfortable if you were sleeping in the same bed as someone who might have feelings for you or be attracted to you?"
"I don't give a shit. Anyway, I'm gay too you idiot. I couldn't care less as long as you don't try anything whilst I'm sleeping." Katsuki grins, his face is alight with hope.
"Your gay? Since when Kacchan? Why didn't you tell me until now?"
"I am bisexual, so I also do not mind." Shoto says, one of his eyebrows is raised.
"Wait what? So you guys really don't care?"
"Nope, looks like we are sharing a bed for a couple of days." Katsuki says, and Izuku moves his head to see shoto give him a small nod.
"W-well… I guess that is settled then! I wonder which country we will be going to first! I hope it is the UK, I have wanted to go to Scotland ever since I was little!"
"I don't know, I have always wanted to see Canada in the winter." Shoto says.
"Nah, I have always wanted to go to Kenya." Katsuki says, leaning back in his chair as he rests his feet on his desk and puts his hand behind his head.
"I have to say though, I am very happy for Sero. It is really good that he is embracing who he really is. I can't personally believe that he told us, I would never have guessed otherwise. If my old man found out that I am Bisexual he would beat my ass to pulp." Sero had in fact come up to the three of them one day and said that he wanted to tell them something. He explained that he is transgender, and that his birth gender was female. He naturally had a deep voice for a girl and generally had a more masculine figure to begin with apparently. The only problem was his height. He wanted to give them a reason to trust them, even if he didn't have to, so he told them his secret. Kiri and Denki already know of course, but it isn't a problem to them. As soon as Sero turns 18 he is getting gender reassignment surgery, he has saved up for it since he came out to his parents, and they have contributed quite a bit to his savings.
"Yes, it was very brave of him to do that!" Izuku says, just as the bell rings for the end of lesson and the start of lunch. Everyone rushes out of the doors to get the first place for food.
"Izu, Katsuki, would you like to eat with me at lunch?" Shoto says, a blush creeping over his usually stoic face.
"Of course! Even though we almost always eat together anyway!"
"Tsk, ok then. It's not like I can sit with shitty hair, he has been glued to his boyfriends these past couple of months."
Lunch seems to fly by.
