Michael was having a dreamless night. It's one of those nights where you only see darkness. He woke up to the sound of his radio going off. He turned off his alarm, got out of bed, and did his daily morning routine. Eat some breakfast, take a shower, put on his clothing, and brush his teeth. There was one thing Michael learned about and never forgot: DENTAL HYGENE. He exited the washroom and sat at the table. "Paul, pull up my email, eh." Michael called to Paul. Paul hovered over to Michael and displayed a holo-screen of his email page. "Kill ya to say please?" Paul mumbled.
Michael tapped on the most recent email and read it:
"Good afternoon, Michael,
We are emailing you to inform you that all humans who are part of the terminal project are being relocated to personal houses. We believe that having a small apartment is not a great place to do work and any work you do might disturb other guests in the building. We realized that you made a very close relationship with one of Zootopia's citizens, Chloe. So, we will be locating you across the road from her. We would like you to stay with her but due to the rules PZA and Zootopia agreed with, having a human and a Zootopian in the same house can possibly be a security hazard to the human and/or Zootopian. As for the house, don't worry, no civilian is being kicked out of your new house. We asked Chloe to pick you up and deliver you to your new location. We expect you to be all packed up by 1:00 PM ZDT.
Regards, Gabriel."
Michael felt a rush of nervousness and excitement. He gets to go to a new place with new faces. He was nervous because he is being transferred to a new location where he is vulnerable. Of course Chloe will be there but Mark isn't going to be next door when shit goes down. Michael looked on the bright side. By looking at the map attached to the email, he will be placed in the middle of a suburban neighbourhood. An emergency service station is a few blocks away so at least safety isn't a mile away. Even if something goes down and Chloe can't reach him, the other civilians can possibly help Michael. That's if the 1/20 chance that someone will come becomes a reality.
A knock was heard behind Michael's hotel room door. Michael opened it and found Mark standing in the middle of the door entry way. "Good morning." Mark said. "I heard you were moving today and I was wondering if you needed a hand." Michael opened his door wide open. "Sure, come on in." Michael welcomed. Michael instructed Mark to place certain items in his brief case. Any item except his electronics can be held my Mark. Michael trusted Mark but he doesn't want to risk him breaking his precious tech. With teamwork, Michael's items were bagged and ready to go with 30 minutes to spare.
"You know what?" Mark said as he rested his arm on the kitchen counter. "I'm gonna miss having you as a neighbour."
"Awww, you're making me blush." Michael responded, joking around. "I'll miss you too, Mark."
"Oh, I'm serious. I liked the change of faces in this hotel. I also liked hearing about your people's story. How your planet got polluted but your species smartened up and changed their ways."
"Well I'm glad you enjoyed-" Michael paused a thought for a second. Michael never told Mark about the situation on earth nor did the ZPD. How did he know? "How did you know about our planets status?" Michael asked the snow leopard. Mark chuckled, "remember when that wolf came over for the Dubstep gun project? Yeah, these hotel walls are thin enough to hear conversations." Michael felt the need to laugh but at the same time he felt intruded on his privacy. He ignored the negative thought and laughed it off. Like he had a choice. He never made a big deal over adversity's. With all his items, Michael, and with the assistance of Mark, exited the hotel room.
Entering the lobby, Michael saw the other humans all packed up and ready to go. Multiple ZPD Officers were in the building too, for added security. Wendy leaned on the secretary desk with her hands clasped together on her lap. "Howdy, Wendy." Michael called to the Arctic Fox. She looked in Michael's direction and gave a warm smile. "I thought I would never see you in that crowd." Wendy said as she gave Michael a friendly hug. Michael embraced her. 'Soft...' he thought to himself. They stopped hugging and began a conversation. "So... moving day, huh?" Wendy started. "How do you feel?"
"A little nervous but excited too." Michael responded.
"Nervous? Why would you be?"
"That's just Michael." Paul interrupted, flying out of his dock station. Ever since Paul got released form his tether, he felt free. "Michael is the type of guy who doesn't like a major change in plans. Although he does like a change of scenery and more space to work with, a slight change or inconvenience can drastically mess up his daily schedule. He is a very organized person."
"You make me sound autistic." Michael critiqued Paul's explanation. Paul's screen emitted a feint yellow that signifies he is laughing. "Doesn't matter if you're on the spectrum or not, some people are different when it comes to how they do things." Wendy said. Michael felt happy. For this civilizations decade, the citizens actually have brain cells. The secretary phone began to ring. "My apologies, I got to take this." Wendy said as she rushed to her desk. "I will be busy so this will be a goodbye, Michael. Have fun and don't forget to stop by!" Wendy said.
Michael headed over to Joseph and Sophie. Of course, they were bickering over what was real and what was fake. Sophie noticed Michael approaching at the corner of her eye. "Oh, Michael, how are you?" Sophie greeted. "Not too bad. It seems you look kinda pissy." Michael responded. "Not mad. Just disappointed that Joseph doesn't understand how the city is moving us to our own houses." Sarah replied back, smiling through frustration. Michael pointed to Joseph and did a zip motion twice near his lips. This was a signal Michael and Joseph thought of to prevent Joseph from arguing. "I think it's dumb that Lionheart has to make the most complex plan when it comes to moving us to different locations. Like all you need is a box truck and a cab." Joseph explained.
Michael nodded calmly. "Let's put it this way," Michael said. "We are back on earth and were contacted by extraterrestrial life. We talk with them and welcome them to our planet. Please note that we don't know these extraterrestrial beings. They land on our planet and we take them to separate hotel rooms to stay a while. We have several police officers around the hotel for their safety and ours. We never know what they will do next. Maybe they will cooperate with us and make peace. Or maybe they will whip out heat rays and exterminate our species." Joseph stood up straight with his hand by his sides. Michael has set him straight. "You win this time, Sarah." Joseph said, trying to smile.
"Gotta admit, you did use your head for one." Sarah commented on Joseph's question.
"Let's ditch this topic and move to a new one." Michael suggested. "Which areas are y'all being located to?"
"Rainforest District." Sarah responded. "Lots of wildlife to study."
"Canal District. Plenty of room to study physics shit." Joseph replied.
"Lucky. I got Sahara Square." Michael said in a depressed tone.
"Man that sucks dude." Joseph said. Sarah and Joseph both know that Michael hates hot climates. The heat was too much for him. He easily gets heat stroke and sweats and literal puddle when out in the hot sun for too long. At nights he has to sleep in the basement to feel cool. Luckily, Paul was there to assist him. Thanks to the invention of regenerative, human friendly liquid coolant, Paul can eject some of the coolant mist close to Michael's body to reduce heat. This coolant was first used on astronauts landing on the planet Venus.
"Michael." Mark said, breaking the conversation Michael and his friends were having. "Your ride is here." Michael waved farewell. "Goodbye. Good luck on your research and I'll talk to y'all at some point." Sarah and Joseph waved back and started another conversation.

Sierra sat on a chair on the balcony. It was a good day to go out and explore but she didn't feel like it. It's been a day since she moved here and yet she doesn't have the motivation to leave the house. Then, her ears moved like radar dishes. A feint jingle in the distance caught her attention. It was the jingle of an ice cream truck. Now she felt motivated to go outside. She grabbed a 10 dollar bill and ran downstairs. Hunter handed a five dollar bill as she ran through the door. "Buy me a mint chocolate!" He Hollered.
What a rare sight to see. It parked right across the street. Normally it would just slowly drive up the road. As she jogged to the ice cream truck she went through some of her options. Should she get a strawberry cone? Or an ice cream sandwich? Maybe a sundae? She made it to the ice cream truck and looked at the driver, an elephant. She made her choice. "1 strawberry and 1 mint chocolate, please." She ordered. "Just a moment." The elephant nodded. Sierra put her hands on her hips and exhaled. She never ran that fast in a while. "You must be part of the family that just moved in." A stranger said. Sierra looked up to where the voice was heard.
It was a mare standing five feet from her. She wore a white t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and red Azidas. "I'm Cassidy, what's yours?" The Mare introduced. "Sierra." Sierra replied. The elephant Came back and brought Sierra her two ordered cones. "What would you like, ma'am?" The elephant asked Cassidy. "One Chocolate, please." Cassidy replied. She handed the elephant 5 bucks and the elephant went to make the order. "Would you like to talk for a bit?" Cassidy asked Sierra. Sierra was shy but she was also happy to meet a new acquaintance. "Err, sure. Just let me give this to my bro before it melts." Sierra jogged to her house to deliver her brothers ice cream.
Sierra and Cassidy talked for a bit on Cassidys front porch. Cassidy introduced Sierra to her mother. She was very nice and even offered Sierra to stay for supper sometime. Sierra learned a lot about her new friend. Cassidy moved from Alpraca to Zootopia with her family when she was 12. She's currently 19. She works at Bug Burga on Dune road, west of Sahara Square. The conversation ended when a car pulled over to a vacant house next to Sierras house. "Are they part of your family too?" Cassidy asked Serra. "Nope." Sierra replied.

"We made it." Chloe announced. Chloe got out of the drivers seat and opened the back left passenger door to let Michael out. Michael slowly got out and stretched. "It feels so good to stand up." He groaned as he finished stretching. The car was slightly bigger than the average Human car but Michael still felt cramped in there. Chloe popped open the trunk and Michael collected his luggage. "The mayor says everything should be furnished in there." Chloe informed. "If you have any questions or concerns, contact this number." Chloe handed Michael a pink slip with a number on it." "Thank you." Michael thanked. "You're welcome. I gotta run to work so you have a good time now. I'll come check on you as soon as I can. Love you!" Chloe said as she drove down the street. "Love you too." Michael said, too far away for Chloe to hear.
"I don't want to interrupt during the moment but I would like to go over some moderation that have been added to your google glass." Paul said, floating out of his station. "Sure, show me the goods." Michael accepted. Paul's screen turned to a feint yellow. "That's gay. Please think before talking."
"At the top right of your google glass is the temperature outside. If the number is green, it's safe to wear a layer of clothing. If it's yellow, you should wear no layers. If it's red, be cautious and get to a shady spot to cool down. The top left is your body health. It's to inform you of damage to your body, external or internal. The top part, as always, is the announcement banner. Any important message will scroll here. That's pretty much it for the google glass. Remember that if you end up severely injured I can shut down your body until it's healed to satisfactory levels. If you die I can revive you but not again after that. Now, let's head into the house, shall we?" Paul explained. Michael grabbed his luggage and headed to the house.

Sierra had her jaw dropped. Her new neighbour is a human. To make things awkward, however, is it's the exact human on the bus she passed yesterday. Did he notice her? Oh god if he noticed her she will die of embarrassment. She wasn't thinking when she waved at him yesterday. Excitement got to her. What Sierra also found interesting was the floating robot thing. What was it? She couldn't hear it quite well but she assumed it was the humans companion. Whatever it was, it looked cool. "Sierra." Cassidy said. Sierra snapped out of her mind. "You looked surprised. Are you alright?"
Was Sierra alright? Of course she was. It was the sight of the human that made her freeze in both fear and wonder. Like looking up at the night sky in the middle of the desert. Just like every time someone asked if Sierra was ok, Sierra spoke. "Yes, I am." Sierra assured Cassidy.
