It's the first day of UA and just outside of Mustafu Apartments 2 students are waiting. "What is taking him so long" Alecto complains
" 'lecto give him a minute" his twin admonishes him
"Oh hey there, you two are the doubles winners right? I remember seeing you guys at the orientation." A wolf-eared teen asks as he exits the complex, a dark haired guy with him. "Yeah that's us! Are you to the other winners?" Alecto responds "Yup, I'm James and this loner is Napoleon" James answers
"I can introduce myself you mutt" Napoleon grumbles "You guys can call me Leo"
You know you love me Leo" James says
tch, I just can't get rid of you" Leo complains "I know" James says with a big smile
"So I take it you know each other?" Alecto asks "Unfortunately" Leo says under his breath
"You're meanie" James pouts like a kid "but I forgive you!" He cheers
"Well aren't you just a bundle of sunshine" Alecto comments on James's upbeat mood" *Leo snorts trying not to laugh*
"What isn't he?" Alecto asks a little confused
"Well, to be honest I'm just trying to distract lil' red there. she seems nervous" James explains in a much more calm voice
"Huh? 'Lecta you're not nervous are ya?" Alecto asks his sister
I mean, a little but how'd you notice, uh James right?" Alecta says perplexed
"Yea that's right, and it's part of my quirk, see I'm pretty much a human wolf hybrid with All of the instincts of both." James says
"Are you guys talking about quirks?" A new voice asks
"Izuku 'bout time ya got here" Alecto nearly shouts
"Sorry, my mom held me up a little" Izuku apologizes
"Yea I was just explaining my quirk." James answers Izuku
"Cool, so what is it?" Izuku asks having missed the rundown
It's called lycan. It's a mutation transformation hybrid. As you can see the mutation gives me wolf ears and a tail, it also gives me the instincts of a wolf and increases all of my senses, although the sense increase isn't as large as if I was in one of my other forms. The transformation part of my quirk let's me turn into three different forms, four if you include this one, my humanoid form. My other three are my grey, dire, and were forms, the names give you a good idea what they look like if you add wolf to the end. What's your quirk like? I bet it's pretty interesting with you going to UA like us. Oh what class are you in? I'm in 1-A " James rattles off pretty quickly
Oh that is so cool! I'm in 1-A to, and my quirk is a strength enhancer type. It doesn't have a name yet cuz it came in pretty recently, I guess it was waiting for my body to be able to survive it, so I don't know too much about it yet. When I used it on the practical I broke any body part I used with it." Izuku explains a little nervous
a late bloomer Huh? That's pretty rare and normally those quirks are really strong. If you want I can try and help you figure it out. All I'd need you to do is explain how it works then we can brainstorm ideas for you to improve your quirk." James offers
Sure, when I activate it, I feel like energy flows to where I'm activating it." Izuku explains
ok, can you control the amount of energy? Or maybe have it flow through your whole body? Then you act as a regulator for the energy and don't 'blow the circuit' ya know?" James questions
"Oh! That's a good idea I should definitely try that" Izuku exclaims Neither even realize the outside world exists anymore to busy nerding out
"Hey big guy. Could you help me guide these two? If we let them finish we won't leave here" Leo asks Alecto
"Yea you're probably right" He responds And with that the left for UA
UA Campus
"Hey 'lecta you good to guide these guys to class? Leo and I gotta get to 1-B" Alecto asks a little concerned for his rather small sister
"I think.." Alecta starts but is interrupted by a girl with purple hair and audio jack earlobes "Don't worry dude I'll help her" she says" I know these nerds and I'm going to 1-A anyway" "Thank you we tried snapping them out of it the whole way here" Alecto apologizes "Don't worry about it" the viol-ette dismisses (see what I did there hehe)
"Ok I'll see you guys later" Alecto says as he leaves to catch up to Leo "Come on let's get these idiots to class, I'm Jiro by the way" Jiro says
"Right, I'm Alecta." the shorter girl replies as the two girls lead the nerds to class neither fully realizing where they are.
Classroom 1-A
Bakugou and Ilda go at it until the blonde notices the new arrivals
"Hey ya damn nerd what are you doing here" he yells stomping up to the group Izuku totally oblivious still
"HEY DEKU! I'M TALKING TO YOU!" He bellows hands exploding
Oh hey that's a neat quirk!..wait when'd we get to class. Hey Jiro I didn't know you were going to UA. Uh why are you holding Midoriya by the… Ow my nose that hurt" James was rambling so Jiro spiked him in the nose with her jack. Both completely ignoring Bakugou
"Hey guys we should sit down class will start soon" Alecta mumbles only now realizing she was still holding James's hand, dropping it she went and sat down
"Oh your right. Oh hey kaachan when did you get here? Izuku asks only just now noticing bakugou. (He was definitely not examining jiro's ear jacks and rambling the whole time despite being spiked not once but twice while jiro continually blushed darker and darker. Nope definitely not as both would later deny it)
"YOU WERE IGNORING ME!" bakugou starts up again
"Shut up and sit down" a hobo-esque man says as he caterpillars into the room in a sleeping bag "heros don't fight each other so learn to play nice or get out. I'm Aizawa, your homeroom teacher. Everyone put these on and go to the PE field" the teacher says holding up a gym outfit
PE field
"Alright everyone listen up. We'll be doing a quirk apprehension test. Bakugou, what was your farthest softball throw in middle school?" Aizawa begins
68 meters I think. Why?" Bakugou answers
Because schools still want to treat everyone equally. We aren't. It's illogical. Here, throw this but this time use your quirk however you want." Aizawa commands handing bakugou a soft ball "But what about orientation?" Someone asks
"Heros don't have time for ceremonies like that." Aizawa answers
As Bakugou winds up his pitch James silently chants "Don't chase the ball" over and over again. When he throws most don't notice Jiro and James flinch slightly at the explosion only Alecta and Izuku. ( It definitely wasn't because Alecta was contemplating how soft James's ears and tail are nor was it because Izuku was again looking at Jiro's ear jacks you can't prove it)
705 meters very good" Aizawa comments causing various noises of excitement
This looks fun does it? Well whoever scores the lowest will be expelled" Aizawa says
"What!? But that's not fair i…" a girl starts
"Neither are any of the reasons heros exist. Get over it. If you can't overcome these odds then you should leave, because you won't be able to handle real hero work either." Aizawa admonishes than mumbles under his breath "let the games begin" with a smirk As they begin James looks to Izuku
"Now's a good a time to test out those ideas as any, though you can't laugh if I end up chasing my tail or something because I'm embracing my instincts instead of suppressing them like you suggested" James jokes
to be honest I don't think now would be a good time for me if I mess up I could put myself out of the tests" Izuku admits
fair enough but you can use it as a last resort if necessary no sense in getting sent home playing it safe" James says
"Yeah that's true"

Test #1: 50m dash
Jiro and James line up on the start line
*bang*
They take off James pulling ahead quickly.
When James is up to speed he dives into his gray wolf form and smokes Jiro. Results
James: 2.1 minutes (A/N A wolf could easily manage it)
Jiro: 7.5 minutes
Alecta and Asui line up
*bang* Asui leaps while Alecta shoots energy from her hands and begins to fly Results
Asui: 3.32 minutes
Alecta: 1.8 minutes
Test #2: grip strength
James goes werewolf and gets 250Kg
Jiro wraps the device with her jacks and gets 60Kg Alecta grips it the best she can for 40Kg (Mineta got 30Kg)
Test#3: Standing Long Jump
James goes werewolf and places third
Jiro does normally
Alecta uses her energy to hover over and gets first
Test#4: Ball throw
"Hey Izuku now or never" James tells him
"Yes, yes it is" Izuku agrees. Aizawa takes notice
"You plan on breaking yourself again? Making someone else save your broken body?" Aizawa asks not quite sneering
"No sensei, not if everything goes to plan" Izuku answers him only a little nervous Aizawa nods and let's him throw
As Izuku prepares he activates OFA sending it all over his body at the absolute limit of what he feels he can use then focuses on dialing back until it feels manageable "Right here goes" Izuku says and winds up to pitch
"Hey jiro" James gets the rockers attention "you might want to protect your ears. I bet he breaks the sound barrier" he warns her. She gives a confused look but does it *booooooom*
the force of the throw sends sand flying everywhere
"Hey sensei" Izuku says as the dust clears revealing him with green lightning fading his arm a faint red like a sunburn "I'm still standing" he says full of confidence "Wooohooo, how much was that?" James cheers running up to Izuku
"Honestly? Not very much. I didn't even hit 100% before I had to dial down if I did I'd probably break my arm with just a twitch. If I had to guess I topped at 45% than dialed it down to 2%" Izuku filled his fellow nerd in while the rest of the class reacts with surprise and Aizawa thinks to himself 'damn kid must have been practicing since the exam or maybe that was new he did say something about a plan'
"2%!? YOU'RE KIDDING YA DAMN NERD! HAVE YOU BEEN LYING TO ME OUR WHOLE LIFE? WAS I NOT WORTH TELLING YOU HAD A QUIRK?!" bakugou explodes, literally and figuratively, running at Izuku
"Enough," Aizawa says as he restrains Bakugou. " I thought I said to play nice next time I'll
expel you. As it is you've got detention" he reprimands bakugou letting him go " now, results" he
says pulling them up
