Sid's heart was practically pounding out of her chest as she tried to keep up with with her friend. It seemed like they were everywhere. On main roads, boulevards, alleys, in buildings, in the subways, and even in the skies. All the two could do was run. There was no where or way to hide. Much like hornets, they swarmed anything that dare defy them, but hornets could be squished. Neither of the two knew where they were anymore. Upon hitting another alley, Sid crouched over and held both her stomach and mouth

She quickly fell to her knees when her stomach and throat tensed up and quickly stomach acid began to leak through her fingers. Ronnie Anne stopped in her tracks. The sound of gunfire rung through the buildings like a bell in a hallway. Ronnie Anne quickly leapt back over to Sid who had seemed to turn even more pale face than before. "C'mon Sid we need to go." She demanded. However, when Sid tried to stand, her legs buckled beneath her. All the running had done its toll on the young teen.

The lack of sleep combined by the extensive adrenaline fueled running had worn her down. Sid's stomach churned. "I... I can't do this." Sid let out in agony.

"What's wrong?"

"I... my chest... my stomach..."

The signature squeaking and rumbling of death begin to draw closer. Ronnie Anne looks over to a cracked open door and runs to open it. The door doesn't budge. She forces on the door again, still nothing. The rumbling grows closer. Ronnie Anne begins to shove against the door, however the door just sits there. She begins to enter a panic as she starts to hear foreign yelling. Now Ronnie Anne decides to start kicking the door. Her foot repeated beats the hard metal door with as much force as she can muster. Each kick giving off a loud metal bang. With no luck, Ronnie Anne begins to feel hopeless. A final kick sends Ronnie Anne backwards as she finally gives up trying.

Within the span of an hour, a normal day has been turned into a fight for survival against something they cannot fight. Her foot begins to ache as the adrenaline starts to wear off, most likely from kicking the door. Never before had she felt so helpless, so insignificant, so small. Ronnie Anne always wanted to look tougher than she really was, but most of all, she wanted to help those that needed her. Now she can't, there is no way to stop this unstoppable force. On top of that, someone is relying on her to to carry them through.

Thinking about this, Ronnie Anne stood up one more time, shifting her feet beneath her. With all the strength she has left, Ronnie Anne darts forward and begins shoulder bashing the door, each time, stepping back and repeating. The sound of the metal being bashed echoes throughout the alley and presumably into the streets. Pain constantly shoots throughout her arm as her shoulder takes the repeated impacts of the metal door.

Finally with what seems like hours, the door budges causing Ronnie Anne to slip and fall face first into a metal filing cabinet. The shock of pain hits her like a bus as she clenches her nose. Ronnie Anne then regains her balance and races for her friend on the ground and drags her into the doorway. Once out of the way, Ronnie Anne then forces the door closed and the hallway goes silent.

Upon closing the door, Ronnie Anne notices something on her hand. It covered it almost entirely from her fingertips to her wrist. Her hand was now entirely red. Upon looking down at herself, she sees her front side of her jacket stained with strains of a very dark purple. It was becoming harder and harder to breath through her nose. Ronnie Anne instinctively blows her nose when the wall suddenly splatters with blood.

Her nose began to ache and a burning sensation began to form on both her lips.

So everyone, did you miss me? Sorry for not being active, especially with everything that's going on, but hey, I hope you all are doing fine yourselves and or will be fine. Anyway, what a way to come back don't you say? These two are beating themselves up pretty bad. With no where to run, what do you think Ronnie Anne's plan is? What is project Baikal? Will anyone survive? I guess we will have to wait and see.
