Everyone continued to stare, the sight was horrific. Never before have they seen the remains of someone so decimated. The thought of how they died shook them to the bone. The screams of pain and agony. The feeling of each breath getting weaker and weaker. The final thoughts that must have gone through their head.
Luna was now abrasively hugging her only brother tightly into her arms as she continue to look at the blood covered closet. Nothing before has ever brought such a feeling of hopeless or dread over the Loud children before than this one sight.
The dreadful silence is suddenly cut short as a blood hurtling scream is heard down the halls from them.
"Lola..." Lori let out in a soft tone. "Come on we need to get to her!"
The group of seven began to recollect themselves and quickly make their way down the hall. Their hearts were already pounding. The scream was ear shattering loud, and sounded like someone getting stabbed... or shot.
Adrenaline was pumping now, yet their blood was ice cold. The seven kids could only run and hope that they make it there in time. This all turned to terror as now audible crying began to ring through the hallway. What caused the screaming? Who was it that screamed? The kids darted down the hallway until they reached the corner. Further down this hall was the familiar shapes of the twins, both huddled back against the wall. Lola was the one crying into her hands with Lana closely trying to comfort her.
Lynn quickly gains some speed and then slides her way over to the twins.
"Who's hurt?" Lynn sternly asked.
Neither of the two responded however Lana pointed out the window across from them that has a view of the playground. Lori shuffles over to the window and sees yet another body, but not the blood is fresh. Then the arm of the kid began to clench their throat in pain as they began to frantically gasp for air. It was all unfolding in front of her, yet Lori didn't move. She just stared. The window blocked out almost all the sound to the outside.
Eventually the kid began to struggle less and less. The squirming slowed. After three minutes of non-stop struggle, the kid fell limp on the ground. As the kid fell limp, their hand fell onto the group and revealed the bullet wound in their neck, just below the chin. Most definitely a painful way to lose your life.
Lori watched all this happen, jaw dropped. It didn't matter of who it was. She just watched a young innocent kid die in front of her. It slowly crept into her head that this could happen to any of her younger siblings. These thoughts ran through her head. They then began to turn into thoughts about what happened to their parents.
Finally the culprit that did this reveals themselves. A few Russian soldiers move up to the body. Lori hides behind the corner but continues to watch. She sees the Russians look around before bending over and checking for a pulse from the kid. The one checking then stands up, almost depressingly before they all continue on.
All Lori could see in the sky was the yellow Sun looming over the town like that of someone watching his creation be destroyed before him. Then she saw a group of helicopters come into view. Each one armed to the teeth with guns, missiles, rockets, and some with bombs. The canopy was two glass cockpits, one after the other. The wings with the weapons on were strangle tilted up. Despite the helicopters having weapons on the side, they also seemed to have doors on them aswell. They were all flying together. Then one split off from the group and turned towards the school. Everyone braced for what was about to happen.
So this has been very eventful first day, now hasn't it? Everywhere you look, death is afoot. Anyway, I would like to direct you to my profile for you all to take a poll of a potential new story.
