[Dropped; TW: depictions of suicide] Natsu Dragneel isn't what you'd call a normal kid. He's weird, he's goofy, and he doesn't know when to stop. He was never the suicidal type. But when something happens that shakes his world and leaves him shocked and depressed, he decides he can't take it anymore. He decides to jump.

8. Author's Note & Summary

WOAH! HOLY CROW, IT'S BEEN A LONG, LONG TIME. I'm not sure how many of you are still interested in the story, but I got a message from a girl interested in For Me and she messaged me about it. When I found the message, I realized that people are still interested in the story and I decided to update! So, for that reason, I have posted this to help remind you what happened in the book because it's been practically 9 months or so.

Also, just a note. I kind of stopped watching Fairy Tail sometime ago, so if you catch something that I should put in or take out that's relevant to a personality characteristic, just tell me…and don't kill me...

Prologue— Natsu commits suicide, and dies [or not] thinking of his love, Lucy, and how she told him to die. So he commits suicide [or tries, you never know.]

The Prank War— Natsu plays a prank on his worst enemy, Lucy, with the help of her best friend, Levy. Lucy declares war on Natsu and manages to get him back with an ice cold bucket of water. Natsu and Lucy find out Levy's their Creative Writing teacher [for a scholarship] and she pairs them together for a year long project. They have to write a romance story.

Hidden— Readers find out Natsu lives alone. His father left him a few years ago and his mother died giving birth to him. Readers also find out Natsu works for Lucy's father, a cruel man that jibes at Natsu for his missing father and dead mother. Natsu works at an odd hour and sleeps at an odd hour and feels it his duty to make sure he doesn't get placed in a shelter so someone else that needs it can live there.

Treaty— Lucy and Natsu call truce. At least as long as they're working on the project.

The River— Natsu and Lucy decide to discuss the book on a walk home. Lucy falls into the river, and it's common knowledge that she doesn't know how to swim. Natsu manages to save her and teases her, angering Sting, her boyfriend, who walks in on them bantering. Natsu and Sting get into a physical fight when Sting grabs and hurts Lucy, which ends with Natsu throwing Sting into the river, the consequences being a bruised and battered face.

The Picture— Natsu needs to search for a new job, because Mr. Heartfilia refuses to take him in whilst he looks "unpresentable." Natsu finds two jobs that he really wants and chases Lucy around the town when she grabs one of the fliers for the job. Natsu manages to stop Lucy from running into a pole, but Levy, who was just coming out of a coffee shop, snaps a picture of them that makes it look like they were being a couple. She blackmails them, but when they refuse to kiss, she sends it to the entire student body. Natsu and Lucy agree to just act like a couple as to not put up with any drama.

Igneel— It's Igneel's "death" anniversary. Natsu visits the cemetery and falls asleep against the tombstone. Lucy finds him and they walk home together. It ends before they get to Natsu's house, so that'll be in the next chapter.
