[Dropped; TW: depictions of suicide] Natsu Dragneel isn't what you'd call a normal kid. He's weird, he's goofy, and he doesn't know when to stop. He was never the suicidal type. But when something happens that shakes his world and leaves him shocked and depressed, he decides he can't take it anymore. He decides to jump.

10. Author's Note: One Last Post

Hi everyone :) Wow, it's been a really long time since I've even logged into this account.

I got a comment on this story as recently as 2020, so I just wanted to make one last post in case anyone is still around.

First, I want to say that the reason I logged into this account again was because I remembered one of the first comments on this story was a suggestion that I put a trigger warning on the prologue. At the time I brushed it off, not understanding its importance, but I remembered it again recently and couldn't bear the idea of leaving this story up without a trigger warning. I've gone ahead and done that, and have also put one in the description. I've also updated the title and description to say "dropped." I won't be continuing this story. To be honest, even if I wanted to continue I don't remember enough about Fairy Tail to even know where to start, and I don't have the time to try to get caught up :(

Second, I want to thank every single one of you who commented, liked, or even just read the story. This story was the first time I really wrote something for other people to read, and you have no idea how much your support meant to me. I was 12 when I wrote this story, and I'm 19 now. I'm going to brag for a moment, but it's for a reason, I promise! I wanted to let you know that over the years I've won national and regional writing awards for students, and so much of it started right here. I continued to pursue writing because some of the very first people I showed my writing to - i.e. you guys - encouraged me and supported me and asked me to keep going, and it gave me the confidence to keep writing. Every piece of recognition I've earned is partially yours, too, (yes, even you dear reader; it matters not when you joined me on this journey) and I will always be grateful for the home that I found on this website and within this story. I will forever carry a piece of your love into the stories I write.
