Once Upon a Psycho
Chapter 1
Cursed Life
The Enchanted Forest, the old fairy tales of legend that told the stories of characters that everyone knows of, Snow White, Red Riding Hood, Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, all of them living in the same place and interacting with one another, a real land of fairy tales, and it sucked. Just imagine it, not only the good guys but also the bad ones as well, you have evil witches and wizards, dragons and werewolves, even an evil fairy or two, the tragedies and anguish that those heroes had to go through is real there, some on purpose, some not so much, but still bad. In the end though, good always won, love conquered all and the heroes celebrated the way they usually do, extravagantly, how did they win though and what were they fighting is the question many might ask, your first thought would be Snow White and Prince Charming, right?
Too bad that this is not about them, this is about something that happened in our world in the late 1990s, between the forces of good and the forces of evil, though it happened three times in total, first time was a long drawn out fight between two groups of people, the good and the evil. The good side were a group of individuals called the power rangers, five teenagers who used their skills and power to fight for the side of good each wearing a different color, red, blue, black, yellow, and pink, later on silver joined in as well, all six were a fighting force for the side of good. One of their worst foes were the evil Psycho Rangers, five evil rangers that fed off of their own minds and soon knew everything about them, including their fighting styles and how to defeat them, it took a while and a return from the psychos, but they were defeated and thought gone.
It wasn't until a year later when a new team of rangers were fighting a new evil that the Psycho Rangers made a reappearance, it took the combined might of both the former team and the new team to take on the Psycho Rangers, finally defeating them all except for Psycho Pink who lived. Psycho Pink soon set back out and managed to cause the destruction of the pink galaxy ranger when she sacrificed her life for the former pink space ranger when her morpher was destroyed using an ancient sword, that was how Psycho Pink won in the end, causing a ranger's destruction.
Yet it wasn't the end for the Psychos, not their true end at least, a few years later they were revived again by another evil to use against another set of rangers, but by then they had it with the constant use and lack of true wins against the rangers as all the rangers survived in the end. Even the pink ranger from the galaxy rangers somehow survived at the end of the battle with their major enemy, so instead of staying and fighting they all agreed, for the first time unanimously, that they would instead flee the great evil and instead find something better. They all left under the cover of night and raced away as fast as they could, until they found a section of space that housed technology that could all meld together and let them leave so that they didn't have to be in the same universe as each other, this way they could be by themselves.
Psycho Pink wanted to go somewhere that she could potentially rule, there was nothing for her in this universe that already knew her so she decided to go somewhere she wasn't known where she could get a foothold and then rule through her own intelligence and cunning, she hoped anyway.
Psycho Blue went to somewhere cold, yet still near a village or two that he could terrorize, he still loved to destroy things and often would have preferred to go to the black markets and cause chaos than actually doing the job he was sent their to do, gather supplies for the gateway.
Psycho Red decided to go somewhere that he knew he could cause destruction, maybe a desert or something like that, this way the destruction he could cause to a town or city was added on by the massive heatwave that would no doubt be present at the time feeding their despair and panic.
Psycho Yellow didn't really have a destination in mind since she and one other psycho wasn't as overly obsessed with their ranger counterpart as the other three, so she chose to head for a land where she might be able to stall for time and figure out what she wanted to do with her new life.
Psycho Black was truly the odd one out of the bunch, he held no over obsession for his ranger counterpart like the others, he was the least violent out of the bunch and the most level-headed, he didn't scheme or lie his way into getting what he wanted, he was a stone hearted killer. He held no love for anything, not even himself, he did have a high opinion of his skills and his personality being better than his fellow Psychos but he still held no love for himself, so what was someone like him supposed to do, he had no idea of where he could go, or what he could do.
While out to a black market with Psycho Blue, who quickly left to cause chaos by himself, he was walking through some stalls to find some coils they needed to run through when he heard felt someone following him, it wasn't anyone he sensed before so he took random turns to lose them. The stranger kept up with him though, it was making him mad that he wasn't being left alone so he rounded a corner and waited on the stranger, but he didn't show up when expected, taking a quick peek found that there was nobody there, seriously, "is anything wrong," someone asked. The strange voice caused Psycho Black to jump back while spinning it into a roundhouse kick that passed through the stranger, literally as if he was made of mist, "well that didn't go how you wanted did it," the stranger questioned before giggling a bit, but Psycho Black chose to ignore that.
"Whatever it is you want stranger, I have no business with you," Psycho Black passed through him and began walking when the stranger appeared before him again, "leave me be specter," he ordered and walked in the other direction, and again the stranger was there, "move, now."
"And what will you do if I don't, it's not like you can hurt me when I'm not even physically here," was the stranger's response as he stood in a strange pose, "the only thing you can do is hear me out and then you can either accept it or not, what's the harm in-gak-hah-gak."
The reason he began choking was because Psycho Black was able to choke him, by making his hand into the right form that was essentially hard light that allowed him to move faster than most eyes could see, "what was that you were saying, because it looks like I'm choking you."
The stranger struggled to breath as the Psycho raised him off the ground easily, he began to panic now because nobody was suppose to be able to touch him in this form, he quickly thought of what to say, "I… can… find… you… purpose," he struggled to choke out.
Psycho Black narrowed his eyes under his helmet before dropping the stranger, "no games or riddles you little crocodile skinned imp, who are you and what do you know about me and my search," he demanded, standing tall above the smaller man as he struggled to breath again.
When he finally got his breathing under control he stood to full height and looked Psycho Black in the eyes, "my name is Rumpelstiltskin, I currently go by the dark one," the smiles and the teasing was gone now, "I sent my consciousness here in hope to find a great warrior."
"Well you found one, and in return for your aid in my search for purpose you get to have that powerful warrior in your back pocket to be used at your beckon call, correct," Black guessed about this dark one as he leaned against a wall and gazed at this small man before him, "why should I?"
"Because if you do you not only get a purpose but also get to serve another evil monarch, this one goes by the Evil Queen, I heard that you prefer to serve instead of being alone, so I can arrange for you to at least serve another evil monarch until you find what you want," Rumple said.
Psycho Black thought for a moment, the calculations going through his mind in an instant thanks to his superior intellect, "very well, tell me where to meet you at and we'll go over everything in person, I'm guessing that holding this projection through dimensions is taxing on you."
"You have no idea," Rumple stated and began to pace a bit, "you see, that lies the problem, what I'm doing is using my power while asleep to communicate with you across, not just space, but time as well, since consciousness allows you to do this with practice. You're part is to find away to travel 25 years into the past and over to my realm, the Enchanted Forest, a place where fairy tales are real and living their lives out, their stories if you will, but I'm adding a few characters that weren't really planned, and you are the one that I want."
"Understandable, I don't like that I have to do all the work, but it's doable given the right particle, I'll get my hands on it and then travel through time, but I'll need the dimensional code for your realm, you get me that and I'll be there soon," Psycho Black informed the dark one.
"Yay," Rumpelstiltskin cheered with a light clap and a giggle at the end before pulling out a paper from his clothing, "you might want to write this down, it's a long one," he suggested and Psycho Black just brought out a pen and notepad he had on him, him and Blue were shopping after all.
Enchanted Forest
The Evil Queen had just failed to enact the dark curse, the curse to end all curses, a curse designed to give a villain their happy ending, a curse that doesn't have the other one being awoken by true love's kiss, or at least it shouldn't be broken that way, but the curse failed. Well, it didn't so much as fail as it didn't form, something went wrong with the ingredients, the most important ingredient, which is the heart of something dear to you, but it wasn't forming with her prized steed she had as a child so what was wrong, she'd get her answers some way.
She chose to go to the one who gave her the curse in the first place, Rumpelstiltskin, she chose to go disguised as a mouse until they were alone, "it's just us, dearie," he called from within his cell, "you can show yourself," he began to sit up and stand when he called out to her.
She began to transform into human through black smoke that flowed up until it formed into a human, she popped her neck a bit from the transformation, Rumple stepped closer to the cell door, "that curse you gave me," she said walking forward with the scroll in hand, "it's not working."
"Oh, so worried," he said teasingly, "so, so worried, like Snow and her lovely new husband," she went wide eyed a bit at that, "they paid me a visit as well," he all but lunged his way towards the bars and eyed her from between them, "they were very anxious about you and the curse."
So he more than likely betrayed her yet again for his own gains, whatever they are, but she still had to ask as she marched up to the cell door getting right in his face, "what did you tell them," it was more of a demand than a request, but he still answered and ignored the act in favor for games.
"The truth, that nothing can stop the darkness," Rumpelstiltskin said in an overexaggerated way as he always did, she smirked but it quickly fell at his next words, "except, of course, their unborn child, you see, no matter how powerful, all curses can be broken, and their child is the key. Of course the curse has to be enacted first, but to do that you need to know what you did wrong, and for that there is a price, and what I want is simple, in this new land, I want comfort, I want a good life, an estate and to be rich, should I ever come to you, you must heed my every word. Every request must be followed, so long as I say…please," the request wasn't too outlandish, and as the one she got the curse from she knew he probably expected a payment equal to that generous gift, but in the form of a deal it was all but ensured, but she had to bring something up.
"You do realize that should I succeed you won't remember any of this," the look that the evil queen got from him was enough to know he had his own tricks, "I don't really see the harm I suppose, deal," he snickered and stepped back, "what must I do to enact this curse?"
He pointed to her, "you need to sacrifice a heart," then he motioned to his chest, before she said anything else though he rushed her and grabbed her throat, "and I'm not talking about a prized steed here, this is the curse to end all curses, do you really think a horse is gonna do the trick? Great power requires great sacrifice, the heart you need must come from something far more precious, to enact this curse you require the heart of the thing you love most, the one person who has tried his best to stick with you for so very long, who has tried his best to help aid you?" He could see the gears in her head turning and tried to work out what he was truly saying, and he could see the regret in her eyes, "this curse isn't gonna be easy, vengeance never is, dearie, you have to ask yourself a simple question, how far are you willing to go?"
She looked him dead in the eyes as he let go of her throat and leaned back before she leaned forward, "as far as it takes," so it was either time for her father to die or her own happiness to die, time to choose to killer her father or slowly kill herself through a spiral of depression.
"Then please stop wasting everyone's time and just do it, you know what you love," he leaned in closer to her, "now go kill it," she turned and began to walk away from him when he called back out to her, "just one more question dearie," she turned back, "what about her new husband?"
"What about him, he's just a lowly shepherd that is stepping far above his station," she told him and wanted to leave then and there but the grin that appeared on the imps face said that he knew something that she didn't, and that always killed her, and he knew it, "what else do you know."
He giggled, "well he may be a shepherd that is far above his station, but you can't deny his skill with a blade, what you need now is a powerful warrior, one who is willing to take any life at all, one who has no trouble even killing a child if needed, a true black knight you might say." She would have protested if he didn't start talking again, "we both know that after you enact the curse, you're going to go and gloat to them, but what about their unborn child, will you truly kill it or the child if it is born, how can you find the father if he takes the child away?"
The questions were all good ones, and she knew that if he was bringing this up now then he already had a plan, "if you already have someone in mind then just tell me," she demanded as she stood there and placed a hand on her hip, she idly thought if this warrior lived up to what was needed.
Rumple giggled as he told her, "there is a tavern you should have your mirror let you look at, a cloaked figure is there and soon he'll be leaving, but before that you might want to catch him and see what his skills are, and I suggest you play close attention to his… lethality I should say."
"Fine, though I have to admit, what do you get out of this information, what more do you want from me and the curse," her question was valid, what did the Evil Queen have left to give and what more does the Dark One want from her and his curse that's being enacted as well.
"Quite simple my dear, I want you to make his life very different from what it is now, he's an evil warrior for darkness, his personality is crude and rude and not at all polite, so I want you to change it, make him a good warrior for light with a nice and polite setting," he grinned evilly.
Tavern
Psycho Black was at the tavern he was told he would meet the Evil Queen at, and he had been here for what seemed like a whole week, because he had been, it had taken him little time to find what he needed after the other Psychos left but had set the wrong date and arrived a week early. So he sat there the entire week as if nothing was wrong, ordering nothing and just sat there, the owner wanted to throw him out but a quick glare his way crushed that idea, tonight though was the last night he had to wait so he was a bit anxious to get all of this over with and find his purpose.
Of course some idiot had to come up to him, "hey," he took the chair in front of him and turned it before straddling it, he looked to be a big muscled barbarian with barbarian friends gathering behind him, "I've seen you in here the last few days and you've never ordered anything." The barbarian got a bit in his face at this, "you've also worn nothing but that damned cloak the entire time and people are starting to get scared off, so the owner wants me to drive you out, so you going quiet or do I gotta get rough," he took a drink of Psycho Black's drink for measure.
Black stood up and removed the hood from his helmet so they could see him before dropping the cloak completely and raised his right hand and gave the 'bring it' sign while saying, "let's see what you got then," and so the barbarian and his six friends charged in to gang up on the 'black knight'. One tried for a swing with his mace from Black's right, with a quick movement of the hand the handle was grabbed and jerked around forcing the barbarian to swing around with it allowing Black to sweep his legs out from under him and while in the air used his own mace to crush his skull. The next one had a spear that he thrust his way, Psycho Black merely turned to the side so the spear past to his side before grabbing at the spear with his right hand and the man's collar with his left, easily snapping the wood of the spear into splinters with his bare hand, he grabbed what was left. Black pushed forward as the other men backed up, and as he pushed forward he decided to stab the spear repeatedly into the offending man's gut until he was satisfied that he could not be saved and tossed him away like trash, and into another one that charged in with knives drawn.
The rest charged in with their weapons drawn, all four with swords, the lead was the barbarian that was talking before, so the first thing Psycho Black did was back up a pace to avoid a slash from him before driving his knee into the guy's face, afterwards grabbing his head and yanking back. You could here the sickening crack as the head's bones were dislodged from the neck, he then grabbed his throat and lift him to where he took a thrust to his neck and let go to move to the one who thrust by slamming his fist through the man's chest he gave the other two the finger.
Psycho Black ripped his hand free from the new corpse and got ready as the other two charged, he straightened his right hand and knocked the right side blade away before grabbing the hands clasped on the left blade trying to slash him with his left hand, he raised the clasped hands up. Then with his right hands he began repeated strikes to the barbarian's stomach, each hit causing more internal damage then the last, at last he ripped the sword from his arms before using his enhanced strength to carve the man in two starting at the crotch, the halves fell with a thud. Psycho Black looked to the last two, one getting out from under the thrown body, they saw the carnage he just made without a single weapon and did the only thing that made sense to the two, the each took a knife out and sliced right through their own throats to get away from him.
He didn't bat a single eye as he grabbed his cloak, he walked out as he put it back on and when he passed the owner he grabbed a fork from a table and threw it so hard it went right through the owner's eyes and imbedded itself into the wall behind the man, it still wobbled as Psycho Black left. He made it out the door when purple smoke enveloped him and he was transported to directly in front of the Evil Queen, in all her black covered glory, "do you know how lethally you just killed those seven thugs," she asked him as if he was not disoriented from being teleported.
Psycho Black glared at her from behind his helmet, though she couldn't tell it, he straightened up best he could and spoke calmly, "of course I do, why else would I fight them if not to kill them," he looked around the room and noticed it bare of everything personal and only had bare necessity.
"Quite impertinent, aren't you," Evil Queen said with a smirk and vicious eyes, she was standing right in front of the window, more than likely thinking of how he was able to fight them so easily, and what he can do to her enemies, "but I'll let that slide because you'll be of greater use to me."
"Benevolent, aren't you," he rhetorically asked as he walked forward and then past her to look outside, everything was cleared for quite a number of yards and was plainly too lavish for his taste, "so how does this work, we make a contract, I just go kill them now, we watch and plan."
"You've done this before," Evil Queen guessed from his side as he watched the 'front yard', he nodded, "very well then, first thing we need to do is introduce you to someone, daddy," she said as a balding man came in, he looked at her with pity and sadness, "daddy, this is Psycho Black."
Psycho Black himself shed his hood and cloak to reveal himself fully and let them see the full warrior that he was, "I suppose it's nice to meet you sir, though I have to wonder as to why you're here," the man referred to as daddy by the Evil Queen asked of him meekly and tiredly.
"I'm going to be her new warrior, apparently her 'Black Knight' or something like that, but you can just call me Psycho Black," he stated while leaning against the rails of the balcony, seeing a sad look cross Evil Queen's face, a sad and conflicted look, that's going to make this awkward.
"Daddy," she said and looked down, "Rumpelstiltskin told me what I needed to know," she kept turning away from him and when he went to her she turned and walked away from him, "I'm conflicted, because I have to cut out the heart of the thing I love most," so that's it then.
"Me," 'daddy' guessed sadly, he then glanced back to Psycho Black and took note of how he had not moved a single inch from the rails, "I suppose that might be why this Psycho Black is here, or one of the reasons, to help you decide what to do, because you don't know what to do." The man looked down in sadness at her finally turning around and looking him in the eye with sadness and regret, "my dear," he took a few steps forward, "please, you don't have to do this, move past this, I know this may sound self-serving, but you don't need to enact the curse."
"Yet I can't keep living like this," she turned to face her father now, "what Snow did to me, what she took from me, it's eating me alive daddy, her very existence mocks me, she must be punished," she walked past him and went deeper into her chambers as her father followed after.
"If the price is a hole that will never be filled, why do it, stop worrying about Snow White and start over, we can have a new life," he pleaded with her to get her to see reason as Psycho Black watched on, he knew for a fact that he didn't have a means to just take out a heart without pain.
Evil Queen turned to her father, "what kind of life, all I've worked for, all I've built will be gone, my power will disappear, and they already think I'm nothing," she told him and with each passing moment, Psycho Black knew that this was not the true place for him, she's too conflicted now.
"Power is seductive," he told her, in a soft voice to try and sooth her, "but so is love," now the old man wasn't trying to save his own skin, not that Psycho Black could see at least, "you can have that again," his words were true and genuine, felt even more so when she laid her head on his shoulder. "I know you just want to be happy, and you can be, of this I'm sure, I believe if given the chance, we can find happiness together, but the choice is yours," that is the wrong thing to say, he was trained in all many of battle, including psychological, and he could already see the gears working.
Evil Queen smiled a bit and started to lift her head, "I think you're right," she looked her father in the eyes while smiling at him, "I can be happy," her smile turned into a sad frown at what she has to do, "just not here," with a plunge of her hand, the heart was in her hands and he was dead.
For a moment, nobody said or did anything until Psycho Black began to raise and lower his shoulders as he tried, then he began to lowly chuckle, forcing Evil Queen to turn and look at him, and then finally he burst into full blown giggles like a madman before looking her dead in the eye. "Well your majesty, I didn't think you had it in you, you killed your own father to enact a curse that might not truly give you what you want, but you still did it on the slight chance, I might be Psycho, but that was just plain evil, HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH," he walked to stand before her. Then he did something that surprised her, he literally got on his left knee and bowed before her, "I swear that I'll serve you faithfully and only you until I decide you're too weak to follow, but never fail to give you honest council," he rose before waiting for her reply, "what's next my queen?"
Later
It was time, time to enact the curse to end all other curses, the other ingredients were already put into a raging fire to act as the mixing bowl with only the heart of Evil Queen's father left, safely put in a box for safe keeping until finally time to unleash said curse, and now it was time. She stepped forward and carefully opened the intricate box before taking the heart of the last person she'd loved out of it and while kneeling down to the dirt, tossed it into the fire to create a puff of dark purple smoke with green flashes in it that began to spread like it was alive as well.
While the smoke was working above, Evil Queen looked over to the side and stepped away to carefully walk towards the grave marked for her father, taking a single black rose from behind her back and laying it down in front as a gift, "I love you daddy," she told the grave marked 'Henry.' Psycho Black walked up to stand behind her, it had been a little bit longer than he would have liked for her to finally enact the damn curse, but it was enough time to get to know her some at least, she didn't look at him, she just erected herself and said, "you know what to do," and left.
Psycho Black knew exactly what to do, and as his queen walked off, he laughed to himself, "hahahahaha," before reality itself seemed to distort around him in a wave and after he was gone as if he was never there, teleporting to the location needed to enact his part of the plan. With another distort in reality he appeared atop the battlements of the castle to his queen's enemies, with a dwarf known as grumpy ringing a bell calling the curse is here, and with the queen on her way as well, it was time for him to start, he began with taking out some guards there. They drew their lances on him but they were quickly killed when he fried them both with his lightning, he jumped down and landed on the ground with more guards coming his way, he pulled out his Psycho Pole and went to work using it to block a few swords before spin kicking them away.
Grabbing one guard by the neck he forced the man back until he was surrounded by them and then threw the man with enough force that he hit hard against a stone wall on the other side of the courtyard and the other ones charge, Psycho Black barely had to expend energy as he worked. Knocking a sword away with a kick he used his pole design to his advantage by putting ones neck in the end and twisting, snapping the man's neck to kill him before kicking the one coming up on the other side of his weapon away and into ones sword while he ripped his weapon free. Two tried to swing at him from both sides, but he knocked the first away with the pole and caused the sword to deflect into another guard while the pole swung again while dodging and crushed the back of the one charging in from the other direction and let him fall.
Psycho Black put his pole into the ground and used it to flip behind one guard and put the handle of his pole against his throat before breaking another neck, with a swift jab of the bottom end, he impaled the pole into ones chest before yanking it free and turning it to slam into the gut of another. Then used the head of the pole to smash in the head of another guard before doing an infinity pattern with it and blocked incoming swords to slash him before stabbing it into the foot of the next victim before delivering a nasty uppercut that sent the head snapping back to the back. The head of the pole now went directly into another's gut, stabbing into his guts and got blood on it before being lifted up with great strength and flipped overhead onto the last guard who died since the falling body landed on the guard's head first and caved in his skull, even the helmet worn.
Psycho Black yanked back his Psycho Pole and sent it away before turning to the main castle area where he heard the screams of childbirth, he blinked out of existence and appeared in a random hallway, he paused for but a moment before running in a direction he sensed something. It was more white guards, guarding a single room, the baby's room, Psycho Black charged in ducked under one guard swinging his sword horizontally before grabbing the next in a headlock while running and used the wall as a spring to then slam the man into the concrete nose first. The incoming sword met air by the guard's swing as the one intended had again blinked out of existence and appeared behind him and took the sword and stabbed it directly into the man's back just as he heard the sounds of running and turned to see King Charming.
Psycho Black yanked the sword out and fully turned to see that the new father was carrying his own child, might be hoping to appeal to his humanity, but that won't work, "please tell me you're going to fight me instead of talking, can't wait to kill such a legendary warrior," he mocked him. Charming charged in with his baby in his left arms and a sword in his right and tried for an overhead slash that was just knocked away to the left with minimal effort, the stride though caused Charming to stumble forward before turning quickly for another swipe that was dodged. Dodged with just a step back while the man got into a stance and tried to swipe at his feet, the only counter was to step back to avoid the sword again before giving a half hearted thrust of his own that was side stepped and blocked, "and here I heard you were a great fighter, heheheheh."
A blast came from nowhere, a magic blast that stung Psycho Black's back and forced him away from Charming, it was the Blue Fairy coming in to save the day and start attacking Evil Queen's true black knight, too bad her attacks were barely worth bee stings instead of actual attacks. Thanks to his enhanced body, even bee stings weren't actually bee stings, so they were mainly annoying, with great precision he took the sword that he had gotten earlier and tossed it with a spin to hit the Blue Fairy, it missed because of her smaller form able to fly out of the way in time. Yet it was enough time for Psycho Black to bring out his Psycho Pole again and slam it into the wall to his right and with great force, he just about brought it down on top of her, but she was able to teleport away from that spot just in time, but there was nowhere safe now.
Psycho Black turned and ran for the baby's room and walked in just in time to see King Charming put the baby inside of a wardrobe, "that won't help you," he stated before marching forward and raised his pole horizontally just as Charming raised his sword for an overhead slash. When their weapons clanked off of each other, he used his superior strength to flip the pole to where the sword was knocked into the air where it was grabbed by the black psycho's right hand and stabbed forward into the stomach of King Charming, who soon collapsed onto the floor. With blood leaking out fast thanks to the place of the cut, he knew that the man was down for the count, so he went directly to the wardrobe and pride open the door and easily saw that there was nothing inside, "so that's your play, get the child to safety, again that won't help."
"Yes, it will," a woman's strained voice came in to his ears and he turned just in time to see Snow White herself stumble into the room, she then saw her beloved bleeding out on the floor, "Charming," she exclaimed as she tried to stumble over to him, only to be grabbed by the throat.
"Oh, don't worry dear," Evil Queen said calmly as she strode into the room, "in a few moments you won't remember you knew him, let alone loved him," she looked towards Psycho Black who was the one to grab her as she went for her love, "you can let her go, she's beaten."
Psycho Black roughly threw the girl to the floor just beside her beloved, and quickly got up to try and cradle his head in her arms, looking down and began crying over his body, she looked up to the both of them with sadness as she choked out, "why are you doing this?"
Evil Queen bent down and practically screamed at her, "because this is my happy ending," Snow White let out a breath of sadness as she turned to him and asked, "and the child," he could see the worry on Snow's face and the hidden sadness at the possible death of a child by Evil Queen.
"Well, I was just about to kill the guy when the Blue Fairy interfered, gave him enough time to send the child away," Psycho Black informed her and saw the relief and hidden relief of the two women, killing a child was never something that Evil Queen wanted but knew had to be done.
"She got away," Snow White breathed a sigh of relief before looking back to Evil Queen, "you're going to lose, I know that now, good will always win," she sounded oh so sure as she looked at her loves face as the curse was drawing closer now, everyone else already gone away from it.
"That might be true, but that doesn't mean we can't make it harder for it," Psycho Black stated as he took his Psycho Pole and jabbed the bottom of it into the joints of Snow's right arm and made it stick out of the other side, just about taking her arm fully off, "how easy it is to cripple you."
When he yanked the pole out and Snow White screamed in pain, Evil Queen laughed, "well, looks like you could use a hand," she laughed some more as purple smoke began to come in through the windows and tear open the roof, "we're going somewhere horrible, where I get the only happy ending." As the glass shattered all around them and purple smoke began to envelope the room, Evil Queen shot Psycho Black a coy smirk that told him there was clearly something else she wasn't telling him, but to be honest, he didn't care, so he let the smoak fill his lungs, and poison his mind.
28 years later
In the small town of Storybrooke, located in a small forest region of Maine, everything was fine, more than fine actually, though considering there really wasn't much to do at all, there was possibly go for the woods and a nature hike, there was possibly go to Granny's dinner and eat there. Go to the shore and skip rocks, all the fun stuff of a town that was stuck in Maine with nice cold and cloudy weather, though that was only for those that didn't work and have a life that didn't make them work, so to be honest that was everyone on their day off so everyone did the same thing.
Storybrooke was home to many residence, there was Archie Hopper, the resident Psychiatrist, there was Marco, the town handyman, Granny and Ruby, the both of them run and work at the dinner respectively, and the Sheriff Graham Humbert, known to be a fine and descent man. Yet there was one resident that not many notice, or care to notice, his name was an odd one, Photon, Photon Psycho was his name and even though nobody noticed him, he was still the one person everyone could count on, the one person that helped out wherever he could. He was a well-built blonde, curly haired man that was kept short into a close cut shave style while having a cleanly shaven face, his skin was a nice peach tan while also being free of any damage, despite his build though, he was unnaturally light on his feet and always wore black. His job was more of a privilege to him, he helped teach self-defense to the adults and karate to the kids in Storybrooke, when he was able to have free time to himself, he was helping out the other inhabitants to the town, even went to the local nuns and helped them.
Photon usually didn't spend too much time there though, not bad history or anything, just helped out here and there before going to somewhere else to help out as well, that was all he did, help, day in and day out until he fell asleep before waking up and begin to help around town again. Marco, you would think, would be a bit mad at him stealing business with free work, but it was the opposite because he also helped Marco as a well with his work, and you would think that this man would be known throughout the town as a saint that could be put with the highest of highs. Thing is that after he helps them, he leaves without any thanks or anything as if nobody notices what he's done, because that is what he wishes to happen, what he wants to have done, and each time stated, "I don't need a reason to do it or be recognized, I prefer to just remain anonymous."
So life went on, Photon comes and helps and then leaves like he was never there, when there is a kid that needs babysat, somehow he gets asked and helps, then leaves with nothing but a silent thank you from who he helped, and then he went to another task and didn't ask for anything. For years that is how he went until one day he was asked to watch over a certain boy, the boy known as Henry Mills, he was very young and while his mother, the mayor, was working he was asked to babysit since she couldn't watch him because of work, so he did so a few times like usual.
Actually no, that wasn't usual if he thought about it, usually there was only a few kids that he watched when he could, but Henry was new, something was telling him that it was just wrong to have him here, but something also was telling him to ignore it, ignore it and just live on like usual. So he did, he ignored it and lived on like normal for a few years more, Henry even signed up for junior karate, they were all living a peaceful life like this and nothing seemed to be able to change it, for years nobody did anything different, until Henry chose to do the one thing that upset everything.
Henry stopped looking at him, stopped coming to his sessions for junior karate, and when Photon stepped into his line of sight on purpose to talk to him, the boy would turn away and literally just run away, then he brought his birth mother to town and turned everyone's peace upside down. This Emma Swan started with a battle for Henry before being deputized by the Sheriff, then after the Sheriff died, she rescued the mayor in a ruse to make her seem like a hero before seen as a brave woman by standing up to Mr. Gold's methods, and so she became the Sheriff to the town.
Photon kept to the shadows though, looking on and through the eyes of a biased observer he could see that both Emma and Henry were a bit in the wrong, as was Regina the mayor, but Emma and Henry were in the wrong more than she was, with very little right or reason to be here. Henry, for whatever reason, decided one day to not like certain people and like others more, even though he himself doesn't talk much to anyone else he chose instead to do certain things for unknown reasons, that was not fair to his mother for she was the one that raised him, not Emma. Emma gave him up so she has no right to actually decide anything when it comes to Henry, Regina may be wound a bit tightly but that still does not mean Emma has right to intrude on their lives, therefore Photon has decided to side with Regina more than Emma on subjects and such.
Then came the missing Kathryn and later on Murder of said woman, the evidence all pointed to Mary Margaret, though it was also clear that it might also be a cover up since the accused didn't seem the type, Photon had known her for years and knew for a fact she was too nice to kill. No, nice isn't the right word, kind would be better, the difference is that kind people mean it when they say something and nice people are just being polite, and Mary Margaret was way to kind to kill someone, though she also had to take into account that not everyone knew her. Not to mention she was right handed and hasn't been able to use her right hand for years now since some accident took the use of her hand from her, logically speaking it would take too much time and effort to kill Kathryn like she was for Mary Margaret, so it didn't add up.
Yet because of the evidence, they had to have a miracle, and they had one, Photon began walking one day in the rain when he heard Ruby scream, he could tell because he was always good with voices, he ran into an alley as the Sheriff also went to see what's wrong, "she's in the alley."
"Who, what happened," he heard Emma ask frantically before going to respond to the disturbance, Photon arrived first though and found the body lying down on the ground, she looked dirty all over, like she'd been held captive for months and stayed in the same cloths the entire time.
First thing he did was turn her over to see if the body was living, judging by the scared reaction that he got though, and who the woman was, she shouldn't be alive, because it was Kathryn, the woman that was supposedly murdered by Mary Margaret, "well, seems we have a dead girl living."
That was how they found her, in an alley prone on the floor, the Sheriff tried to question Photon, but when she tried to find him, he was gone, when she asked around to try and find him the other residence said they didn't remember anyone like that, a few maybe vaguely but most were a no. Then came the time she asked Henry about him, "Henry, who was that guy that helped out Kathryn by taking her to the hospital on foot," apparently it would take too much time to get her there by car since there was a jam and the ambulance was broke down, so he carried her there.
"Say away from him, he's a bad man," Henry instantly warned her as he quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her away until they were alone, "he's a very bad man, he's the Evil Queen's most evil black knight," he pulled out his book and showed her the page, "he's this guy," he pointed it out.
Emma saw who she was pointing at, it was someone she never thought she'd see again off of old news reel, "that's Psycho Black," she muttered to herself before taking the book and placing it on her lap to look over what had happened in the picture she was looking at, "I remember him." At Henry's hopeful look, she felt like she had to clarify, "back around thirteen years or so there was a group of people that were bent on taking over the world, and even now there is a few people still trying, but one of the few people that almost beat the world's protectors was him and four others. They were called the Psycho Rangers and they fought and on several occasions almost beat the protectors, the Power Rangers, the world was almost destroyed by them, but the reports all stated they were born that year and gone the same year," she pointed out as she read on.
"That doesn't make sense though, thirteen years ago was just a few years before I was born, but the curse has been active for 28 years, and he's been here the whole time, it doesn't make sense," Henry pointed out to himself as he looked around and then saw Emma was thinking.
"Regardless of that curse or anything, how could someone from thirteen years ago be able to be in this book and fighting, something isn't right," she said out loud before looking to Henry, "where is this guy, where does he work and why doesn't people talk about him," she asked her son.
He sighed as he looked down and thought about not telling her, but decided to just do it, "his name is Photon Psycho, he runs the local karate dojo and right now he's teaching junior karate, he's a kind and caring person who helps out around here but refuses to accept acknowledgment."
"Thanks kid," Emma said as she gave him back the book and guided him out of the hospital and towards his home while she went to find where the dojo was to find this Photon to get answers about what this guy does and why nobody acknowledges his help or existence in this town.
She finally found it when she saw an unremarkable building just sitting there behind another building in a corner on the main street, she pulled up in the police cruiser and got out thinking this can't be the place, but when she went inside she saw him with the kids, practicing punches. Photon looked just as unsuspecting as before, even with a karate gi on he didn't look intimidating, but she was in the business long enough to know when to spot experience, and this guy didn't waste a single movement, each move was perfect and precise, each muscle tension perfect.
He clearly knew what he was doing, and as a clock chimed, the kids immediately stopped everything they were doing and stood at perfect attention, "thank you all for patience, you did great, though tommy still needs to work on his aim with that kick," he rolled his shoulder for effect. The other kids tried to suppress their giggles, but they failed, "but remember what I taught you, practice until perfection and then practice some more, the basics are still the basics for a reason and are the building blocks in which we defend, class is dismissed," he said and everyone filed out.
Emma stepped to the side and let them by before walking further into the room and approached the head of the dojo, "you Photon Psycho," she asked him and he turned to look at her briefly before turning back to finish what he was doing, it was taking out some clothes to change into.
He didn't speak to her until he was done and when he finally turned to her, his eyes almost dismissed her as a threat, "I am, and I haven't done anything wrong or to get me in trouble that I know of so I don't think I have anything to talk to you about, good day," he went to a back room.
She was stunned for a bit before catching up to what he just told her and snapped back to reality, she chased after him intent on getting the information she wanted, "hey, I wasn't done talking to you," when she got to the back room she saw him shirtless about to take his pants off, she closed the door. Afterwards she waited until he was done and came out of the back room in a different set of a karate gi, this one was all black instead of the other traditional all white, both had black belts around them to signify his rank, "I wanted to ask you questions about why nobody remembers you."
"Simple really, I asked them not to, just a simple helping hand when needed and nothing more," Photon replied as he began to turn over some of the art that looked childish, "and I know what else you want to talk about as well, why all of a sudden Henry stopped talking to certain people."
"I actually already know why that is, he has this book of fairy tales and he thinks everyone in this town are from there, he thinks his the mayor is the Evil Queen for some reason," Emma answered back, though she wasn't really sure why she was just telling this person all of this, "except you."
"Well that isn't fair at all, he's treating the people in this town wrong and letting keep believing in this is wrong as well," he stated plainly as he was still flipping child art and when done turned to look at the woman, "look Sheriff, I don't like you, and not because I'm loyal to the mayor at all. I don't like you because you let Henry believe in something that is not true, but let us say that for the sake of the argument, that it is true, is it fair to hold those accountable of a crime they don't remember committing pay, or is it fair to treat people like they're evil based on the past."
She looked at him shocked for a bit before awkwardly coughing in her hand, this guy flustered her for no reason, it was all true in a way but she wondered why it mattered to him, "Dr. Hoppy thinks letting him believe it's true and then gradually pull him back is the best course of action."
"Then teach him to tell the difference between what happened there and what's happening here, he kind of hurts my feelings whenever he chooses to avoid the issue instead of talking to me about it himself, he still has free will and free thought so he should consider that," he retorted.
Photon turned away from her and left to go get some things from the back room again and left the Sheriff feeling down, so she left to go somewhere other than there, but not before at least muttering to the wind, "didn't even find out about Psycho Black," she practically ran out the door.
He heard the last comment though, his dojo having great acoustics that enhanced his already naturally impressive hearing, when she said Psycho Black he got flashes, flashes of something, he saw a black warrior of some kind fighting, fighting multiple groups of people, all with his moves. He shook his head and moved on, there was really no point, probably saw them on the television from one of the countless homes that he passed by, could be that he saw an old comic as a kid or something, either way he had a class to teach, and girl to go and see.
