Resting her head against his Chest Kate sighed, they must have just broken over half a dozen rules as she was pretty sure the Navy would not like its sailors using cabins on ships for Make-up sex. Even although they weren't technically serving alongside each other it would more than likely still be frowned upon. thankfully as there was only a duty watch on and it was getting quite late the ship was fairly quiet so there wasn't going to be anyone see her do the walk of shame when she left.
"so what was she like?" Kate asked looking up
Sighing softly Mike ran his fingers down her back sending shivers up her spine. Reaching across he pulled a book out of the cubby beside his rack. Using his thumb, he lifted I picture that was pressed between two pages.
Taking it from him she smiled looking at the photo, Mike was sat in front of a cream sofa with Arial on his lap he both were smiling at the camera. Arial had dark hair tied up in a little pony on top of her head with a bow on the front.
"she looks adorable" Kate smiled. "how old was she when..." she asked
"she had just turned three" Mike smiled easing the photo from her hand placing it back in the book.
"sorry I umm didn't mean to..." Kate stammered
"its fine really" Mike said looking down teasing her in to a kiss.
Shifting position, Kate tried to get in to a more comfortable position.
"oof "Mike groaned as she accidently dug her elbow.
"sorry" she whispered shifting herself again and again digging her elbow in his side again
"ow" he sighed moving over as far as he could go without falling off the edge of his rack
"i forgot how narrow the racks on a ship could be" she sighed, eventually managing to sit herself up on her elbow.
"well, I don't think the Navy ship designers thought that the bunks would be used for extracurricular activities let's say" he smiled
"really. Extra-Curricular is that what we are calling this now."
"well what else would you suggest we call it." he grinned sitting up against her pulling her closer
"umm houghmagandy" Kate grinned teasing him in to another kiss
"hough. What?" Mike asked
"Houghmagandy, according to Nikki its apparently a old Scottish word for well what we just did" Kate smiled "we could also call it firkytoodling"
"where do you get these words" Mike said as she
"Nikki" Kate grinned. "so do you want to come around again tonight? Maybe finish what we started"
"as much as I would love to" he said kissing down her neck "our departure has been pulled forward.
"to when" Kate asked pulling back slightly
"0800 tomorrow" he sighed "there has been a change of plan we are taking a SAS task team to the Samaru islands, to help calm the coup that has been kicking off lately
"the SAS?" Kate said shifting so she was sat on the side of the bed
"What's wrong" Mike asked sitting up moving next to her
"Jim's SAS, it can't be a coincidence he is up here" she sighed
"Kate..." Mike sighed kissing along her bare shoulder
"i should go" she turned "can't have the captain sleep deprived tomorrow can we" she said softly picking up her discarded clothing.
Walking back through the door several hours after she had left. She smiled seeing the girls sat at the table eating dinner
"thanks Nik" Kate smiled kissing each of them on the tops of their heads
"what Kept you?" she asked walking round from the kitchen drying a pan. Looking Kate up and down. "on second thoughts don't answer that, that's too much information"
"we managed to talk things through" Kate smiled opening the fridge pulling out the jug of water she kept in there
"looks like you did more than talk and I don't think I am going to be able to talk to him on the bridge in the same way knowing what you two got up to on board." Nav said picking up her bag.
"thanks for watching them and doing dinner." Kate smiled
"no problem. There is some extra in the microwave for you" she smiled
"thanks Nik and fair winds for tomorrow" she smiled
"see you later" Nik smiled pulling the door shut behind her
Later that evening Kate sighed watching both girls as they played some imaginary game in the living room talking to each other as if they were Ladies.
"time for bed Girls. Why don't we have our story in mummy's bed tonight" she smiled
"yay" both girls cheered
"go and get your Jim-jams on then" Kate said
Finishing the next chapter Kate closed the book, looking at each of them she sighed. "girls what did you think of Mike?" she asked
"he's funny" Sovay said
"i like him. He gets us chocolate Milkshakes and sugar" Aimee said excitedly
Kate laughed typical Aimee to choose the least important of things
"and how would you feel if we spent more time together"
"like a daddy?" Sovay asked
"sort of" Kate sighed she had hoped they wouldn't see him like that at this stage because they did have a dad, not that he had cared much.
"can we have a huge milkshake again?" Aimee asked
"we will see" Kate laughed kissing the top of Aimee's head "right now bed" she said.
Lying in bed later Kate sighed pulling the pillow he had slept on the previous night towards her inhaling the sent that still lingered when her phone buzzed silently on the side. Reaching over she smiled seeing Mikes name on the caller ID
"didn't you get your fill earlier" she grinned
"i was just checking to see if you were alright, you left in a bit of a hurry"
"i'm fine. If it is Jim your with tomorrow don't... you know..." she paused
"what?" Mike asked
"say anything about us. I don't want him to have any ammo to use against me" she said softly
"how can a new partner be used against you" Mike asked
"he will try anything trust me"
"okay and how will I know if it is Him?"
"well he will be called Jim for a start" Kate laughed "he is Captain Jim Roth..."
"okay" Mike said softly
"night" she whispered
"night"
"fair winds" Kate whispered softly as he hung up.
Hugging the pillow tightly she hoped that it wasn't Jim but she had a feeling that it would be. She just knew, who else could it be and why else would he be up here if it wasn't to torture her some more. She just hoped everything would go smoothly with him being in a confined space with Mike.
