Dark Origins
The samurai woke up from a dream. A dream about his time with Ashi in the future. It was a wonderful dream. He teared up when he remembered her. He began to wonder where she's right now.
Moments ago, when Ashi held Dilek's cube and spoke the entity inside. She told the troubled daughter of Aku an idea she have.
"Your mother… was she mortal?"
"Yes." Ashi answered.
"Then I can help you with this."
Ashi was curious but asked the entity to do it.
Moments later, she arrived at a small farm with a family of six. Ordinary people. Living their lives in peace. Ashi's maternal ancestors.
Dilek told her to make a wish.
Ashi then made it. "I wish… to be one of my ancestors." And so she did. Ashi disappeared and lets go of the cube. Her body and soul merged with her ancestor. A young woman who happens to have the name Ashi.
Not Dilek's power but a mere coincidence.
The young woman began to tear up in which his father, the farmer, noticed. "What is wrong, Ashi?"
"I… I don't know." She answered. "I feel happy… satisfied."
"Satisfied?"
"With this life I have." She smiled and soon hugged her father.
The farmer was a little surprised. He thinks his daughter just got a realization. He then patted her back, comforting her. Soon, her mother called them telling them that food is ready.
Right now, Ashi and her family took refuge to the samurai's kingdom.
Sun roses from the horizon and its light touches the technological city of Titan. Mister Mors went to his workshop window and watched the sun with his self-made goggles that blocks the sun's solar rays.
He zoomed the goggles close to the sun and soon found what he's looking for.
Just next to the blazing sun, a red entity stood nearby and plunged its hand inside it. This entity turned its hand clockwise and counter clockwise.
Soon the sun burst up and its fire glow even brighter than ever.
Mors wondered what the red entity is but he can tell it has power that he wanted. His questions will soon be answered when another entity heard his thoughts.
Mors meets the cyan entity.
"Who are you?" He asked.
Idea grinned.
Years later, the battle ended. Mors screamed in pain as he lost his left arm. He dropped down to the ground bleeding on the marble floor that he created. His enemies, the gods from another realm and a large group of mortal heroes, interfered with his plan and put a stop of his reign of terror. He yelled Idea's name, calling for her assistance.
But she did not respond.
The almighty All-father Odin answered the defeated foe. "She is gone. She won't be helping you this time."
Rama then added. "Don't you see, mortal? She used you. Betrayed you."
"Why?" Mors asked.
Then a blue entity Vesra approached the bleeding mortal. "That is what she is. Playing with mortal lives.. She then make you collect the gems that could destroy all creation."
"I was… I wasn't—" Mors thought he was doing it to save and reshape the world.
"I'm sorry. But this crime you have committed is in a universal level." Odin proclaimed. "Barriston Mors of Polo, the dark deed will not go unpunished. You are banished to the Void outside of all creation and the Realm."
Without any hesitation, the gods used the six gemstones and banished the convicted mortal into the dark empty space.
Little did the gods know, Mors will soon meet the Shadow People. Moments in the Void has passed, Mors formed an Alliance with these dark entities and promised them he will help them. But first, he must collect the six again.
With the help of the three Shadow Men, he returned back to the material world. Upon his return, the gods who defeated him are dead. Now no one is going to stop him.
After Mors told his story to Aki, he asked her. "Any questions?"
The daughter of Aku was fascinated by his tale. But also she can see the problem in his plan. "I know now what you need to do. This plan of yours will not work."
"Care to elaborate."
"You are not the only one who is collecting the gems right now."
"I know. It is practically a race."
Aki nodded. "That's right. I can offer you my help. I can lead your army of-"
"Uber-men."
Aki misinterpret him."-Overmen. And I can vanquish this Idea entity and her forces."
Mors find it hard to believe. "You can take down an entity?"
"Sure. If a mortal can do it, why can't I?" She refers to the Samurai who killed her father.
The samurai got up from a bad dream. He turned to the string beside him and pulled it, ringing a bell downstairs. The innkeeper Caitlyn went to his room and asked with tired eyes and forced smile. "Breakfast?"
"Uh... what do you have?"
"Just bread and eggs." She said. "You want something fancy?"
"Oh no. I don't. I just need something- just a few. Uh..." The samurai was thinking about something else. "Do you have noodle soup?"
Caitlyn was bewildered by that name. "A what?"
Later, the knight Donovan arrived at the inn to check on the samurai. He encountered the man taking a bowl of soup with bread and eggs. "Enjoy your meal, Jack?'
The samurai nodded with a smile. "Yes. I'm really... content... with the meal."
"Good." Donovan said. But then he took a seat and sat next to the samurai. "Jack... I was wondering what really brings you here. Just curious."
The samurai doesn't want to reveal his mission. But also he doesn't know where he ended up. He was not sure if the place has a gemstone or the enemy coming here. He is completely unsure. But then he has to answer to the knight of his purpose. "I'm just wandering around looking for... quests."
After hearing it, Donovan stood up with joy. "Good! I was thinking of recruiting you."
"Really? Recruit me for what?"
"A client wanted two strong men in his quest to the North mountains."
"I see." The samurai wanted to decline. He has to remove all distractions and find a way to get to the enemy. "I'm sorry, Donovan. I must decline this... I rather do some different quest."
"Really? But this quest is interesting." Donovan said the main details. "We got to the North mountain to find six gems of power."
That last words caught the samurai's attention. "The what?"
"Six gems of power." Donovan said. "That's what the client called them."
"And who is this client?"
"Barriston Mors."
