Author's Notes: Sasuke's clan is not slaughtered in this fanfic. Ayo – not Kakashi – is the sensei of Team 7.

"My name is Ayo Watanabe," the green-haired female ninja introduced herself to her students – an orange clad, blonde haired boy, a pink-haired girl, and a raven-haired boy – as they gathered in the clearing of training ground 3. "Introduce yourselves."

"My name is Naruto," the orange clad, blonde-haired boy introduced himself. "I want to be Hokage one day."

"My name is Sakura," the pink-haired girl introduced herself and smiled at Sasuke.

"My name is Sasuke," the raven-haired boy introduced himself.

"Naruto, may I borrow one of your shadow clones?" Ayo asked.

"Sure, sensei," Naruto replied creating a shadow clone of himself.

Ayo beckoned for the clone to follow her into the trees. She returned without the clone to find Naruto clutching his stomach. Sakura and Sasuke looked on in concern.

"Why did you punch my clone in his stomach?" Naruto asked. "Wait. How did I know that?"

"By dispelling the shadow clone, you gain the clone's knowledge," Ayo explained.

"Cool."

"Because of Naruto's large chakra supply, he can use the shadow clone technique without danger. I forbid Sakura and Sasuke from learning the shadow clone technique until they have sufficient chakra reserves. Speaking of chakra, how am I doing this?"

Ayo walked up a tree with only her feet touching the tree. Sakura raised her hand.

"Yes, Sakura," Ayo replied.

"You're applying chakra to your feet," Sakura answered.

"That's correct. This is an example of a chakra control exercise. Why is chakra control important?"

"If you underpower your jutsu, it won't be as strong. If you overpower your jutsu, you will run out of chakra."

"That's correct, Sakura. I want everyone to try this exercise. Naruto, you may use your shadow clones for this, but remember, dispel a clone after a couple minutes. Use a couple clones at a time."

Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke got up and each found a tree. Naruto created a couple clones and started the exercise, joining Sakura and Sasuke. Sakura already reached the first branch of the tree, but Naruto and Sasuke kept falling off the tree.

"Sasuke, use more chakra," Ayo coached. "Naruto, use less chakra. Sakura, good job. Sakura has the best chakra control out of you three. With your good chakra control, you can be a medic-ninja like me."

"Really?" Sakura asked. "Can you teach me to become a medic-ninja?"

"If you promise to learn to be a medic-ninja on your own time, then I will teach you what I know. Sakura, do you want a challenge?"

"Sure, sensei."

Ayo unrolled a scroll and unsealed a trampoline, which she moved to under the branch Sakura was on. "I want you to apply chakra to your feet and hang from the branch you're sitting on upside down. While you are doing that, you can do some sit ups. The trampoline should catch your fall."

"Ok, sensei."

That afternoon, Ayo took her students to pick up their first D-ranked mission and picked up her team's mission scroll. She gathered her students in the lobby of the Hokage Tower.

"We will be retrieving Tora, the beloved, lost cat of the Fire Daimyō's wife," Ayo said, reading the scroll.

"I thought we were protecting princesses or fighting ninjas," Naruto complained.

"These D-ranked missions help build us experience and improve relations with the villagers. Does anyone have a strategy to locate Tora?"

"How about I use my shadow clones to comb through the town? If one of my clones find the cat, I will dispel the clone and tell you guys."

"Be careful about dispelling all of your clones at the same time. It may give you a headache."

Naruto nodded and spawned six shadow clones. The shadow clones sprinted out the door and combed Konoha for the cat.

"One of the clones found Tora," Naruto said.

"Awesome!" Sakura replied.

"The only problem is that it is on the Uchiha compound," Naruto replied.

"Sasuke, since it is your family compound, why don't you take the lead?" Ayo asked.

Sasuke nodded. Ayo, Sakura, and Naruto followed Sasuke as they left the Hokage Tower's lobby and navigated the streets of Konoha. They reached the exterior door of the compound, and Sasuke let his team inside. They found Tora on the first branch of a tree nearest the compound's exterior walls.

"Allow me," Sakura said, getting cat food out of her backpack and using chakra to climb the tree.

Sakura returned with a purring Tora and followed her teammates back to the Hokage Tower. Tora was returned to its owner, and the Fire Daimayo's wife graciously paid Ayo and her team for their trouble.

"If you need anything, let me know," the Fire Daimyō's wife said.

"I might need your assistance right now," Ayo replied and turned to her students. "How many of you have your own bank accounts?"

Sakura and Sasuke raised their hands.

"Well, it's time for us to open a bank account for Naruto," Ayo announced and turned to the Fire Daimyō's wife. "Since Naruto is not well-liked and may encounter resistance if he tries to open his own bank account …"

"Do you want me to threaten to close my accounts with the bank if they refuse to serve Naruto?" the Fire Daimyō's wife asked.

"You read my mind."

"It would be my pleasure to help you."

At the bank, the bank manager greeted the Fire Daimyō's wife and approached the group.

Ayo coughed. "We here to open a bank account for my student, Naruto Uzumaki."

The bank manager took one look at the orange clad, blonde-haired boy and frowned.

"If you don't open a bank for Naruto and treat him with respect, I will ask my husband to take our bank accounts elsewhere," the Fire Daimyō's wife announced.

"I can ask my dad – the head of the Uchiha clan – to consider the same," Sasuke added.

"I will personally open Naruto's bank account myself," the bank manager announced. "Naruto, if you need to handle any business at the bank, be sure to ask for me, and I'll be happy to assist you."
