"Today, we are working on taijutsu," Ayo told her students, who were sitting on the logs in the clearing of training ground 3. "What is taijutsu?"
"Taijutsu is unarmed, hand-to-hand combat," Sakura replied.
"Very good," Ayo replied. "I want each of you to spar with me, so I can judge your strengths and weaknesses."
After a ten minute sparring session, Ayo unsealed a punching bag with a stand and a set of bag gloves from a scroll and set it up at one end of the training ground.
"Sakura, you need to work on punching harder," Ayo said. "To fix that, why don't you come here and stand in front of the punch bag? Put on these gloves."
Sakura did as she was told.
"Pretend this punching bag kidnapped your precious Sasuke," Ayo said. "I want you to punch and kick as hard as you."
While Sakura worked on punching harder, Ayo turned to Sasuke and Naruto. "Naruto, your form is horrendous. Sasuke, you need to make your moves more fluid. I want Naruto to be on the defensive and use your shadow clones. I want Sasuke to be on the offensive and attempt to dispel each clone using taijutsu. As each of Naruto's clones dispel, I want Naruto to analyze Sasuke's form and try to mimic his form. Alternate being on the offensive and defensive."
In the afternoon, Ayo took her team on another D-ranked mission. This time, they were walking the Inuzuka Clan's dogs. By the time they returned the dogs to the clan's compound, they were winded. Ayo dismissed her team for the rest of the day and went home herself.
