Hey! I got three new reviews, and I'm so happy that you guys like it! I got some suggestions that I should break up my paragraphs, and I'll try it. But I may not be the best at it.

ResX: Oh wow tysm! I try my best, and I'm pretty new at the writing game.

Scourge13: Thanks!

succulentsofa: Thanks for the suggestions! I will definitely break up my paragraphs and add better emotions.

Btw, ResX is the winner for my next story. If they don't want to name one, that's totally fine! But anyway, some people need to read. So bye for now!

Chapter 6

Blackkit shook her head disapprovingly. Driftstar had been a terrible leader ever since the death of Jadeclaw. She had been dumping her work and duties onto her deputy, Redglare, and slept in her nest all day. She even made Redglare make the ceremony for Troutheart to become an elder!

Although the leader of RainClan has been acting terribly, one good thing came today. Blackkit was three moons old today! Halfway till six! Blackkit almost bounced at the thought, despite laying in the nursery. Blackkit shook her head and drifted off the sleep, dreaming of being a fully-grown warrior, hunting a giant sparrow that would feed the entire Clan.

Blackkit woke up to dim light filtering into the nursery. The she-kit pricked her ears at the sound of Chirpkit snoring, and Blackkit chuckled at the RainClan kit. She was sprawled out, taking up the entire nest, and her siblings and even her mother, Streamleap, was pushed off the edge.

Blackkit stepped out of the nursery to see only a few cats out- Applenose, Nightheart, Junipertuft, Sapstar, and Littlestripe. Blackkit flitted past the she-cat and went straight to the fresh-kill pile. She picked out a small mouse and ate it as the observed the activity in the camp. Sapstar and Nightheart were close in conversation, Applenose was eating a squirrel, Junipertuft was basking in the small patch of sun by the medicine den, and Littlestripe was grooming herself by the elders den. Blackkit saw Tanclaw step out of the warriors den, yawning. Blackkit saw more and more cats filter into the clearing until finally the RainClan kits stepped out.

"Hey, Blackkit!" Eaglekit mewed as he padded up to her.

"Hi! how'd you guys sleep?" Blackkit asked, sitting down to lick her paw.

"I slept really well. I had a dream of becoming deputy!" The four kits conversed until a call rang out.

"Let all cats old enough to survive in the dark gather here under the Fallen Tree for a Clan meeting!"Sapstar's yowl cracked the Clan's chatter, and all heads turned to Sapstar. That must seem creepy? Blackkit thought, then actually listened. "Goldenbee has fully returned from her sickness and now, naturally, Shinepaw will now be re-apprenticed to her. Now, we have some more good news! Heartpaw has intrigued us with her skill, and she is ready to become a warrior- now." Murmurs of approval, purrs of compliments, and mews of doubt filled the clearing in all equal parts. When the chatter went down, Sapstar continued. "Heartpaw, step forward. You have trained hard to understand and strengthen the ways of a warrior. StarClan honors your intelligence and your view of the full picture. Therefore I give you your warrior name. Heartpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Heartpath. You will now sit vigil tonight in honor of StarClan. Meeting dismissed."

"Heartpath! Heartpath! Heartpath!" the Clan chanted. Blackkit chanted as loud as she could; she really liked Heartpath! Blackkit padded over to Heartpath.

"Hey, Heartpath! Congratulations!" Blackkit mewed to the she-cat. Heartpath purred in reply, then conversed with her other Clanmates.

Blackkit played hide 'n seek with the other kits, then, when the sun was setting, she went to learn herbs with Leapheart, Leafwinds, and Lilacpaw. As she padded out of the medicine den, she saw something.
A perch! Blackkit leapt onto a rock, then onto a tree, then, finally the tall, tall perch which was higher than the Fallen Tree. She layed down, watching then sunset, as she drifted off to sleep.

When she woke up, the sky was a nice light blue, and a New-leaf breeze ruffled Blackkit's ebony fur. She saw Heartpath stumble into the warriors den below her, right back from her vigil.

Then Blackkit saw a rare, yet happy sight- Driftstar outside. And lively! She was purring with Firering. Blackkit purred for the she-cat. Then she leapt down silently from her tall perch and grabbed a squirrel for her and the RainClan kits to share.

When Bramblekit, Chirpkit, and Eaglekit stepped out, she told them the news about Blackkit told them about the news of Driftstar.
"Really?! I have to see!" Chirpkit mewed quickly, her eyes sparking with happiness.
"Uhm, maybe wait a bit. She's talking with Firering." Bramblekit pointed out. Chirpkit nodded, though she wiggled impatiently, so the four played a bit of mossball to wait.

A little bit later, a patrol consisting of Flowerpool, Applenose, Swirlcloud, and Timberheart came in, their eyes bright with excitement. The leader of the patrol, Swirlcloud, leapt onto the elevated stone platform, then into the leader's den. A moment later, Sapstar and Driftstar leapt onto the Fallen Tree to call yet another Clan meeting.

"Let all cats old enough to swim in the dark gather here under the Fallen Tree for a meeting of the Clans!" the two leaders yowled in unison, using the custom call for both Clans to attend.

"We have good news! RainClan territory can now be set paw on, so we can return to our camp. We will leave in three days." Driftstar's mew was still a little damaged, but she was much better than before.

"We have also decided to make ourselves nuetral with RainClan, and break our alliance with FireClan. Meeting dismissed." Sapstar added quickly, and climbed down the wood. But Blackkit felt torn. These RainClan kits were her only friends, besides Heartpath, but she was more interested in Falconheart and the warriors. Blackkit padded to the trio.

"Awww! I really like playing with you!" Bramblekit squeaked, shrinking down beneath her pelt.

"Yeah! And I love sneaking out with you!" Chirpkit mewed a bit too loudly.

"Shush! And that only happened five times!" Blackkit whispered with a laugh in her voice.

"Well, we have three more days..." Eaglekit pointed out, then then scrunched his white-smugged nose in thought. Blackkit nodded.

"Maybe we could sneak out again..?" Chirpkit mewed with a note to her voice that Blackkit couldn't name.

"What is your problem?!" Blackkit whispered with a laugh. Chirpkit just purred and started to think.

"Probably because I want to know the territory to become an amazing warrior!" Chirpkit bounced up and crouched, lashing her tail as she mewed it.

"Let's eat this squirrel as we talk." Blackkit suggested, not wanting Littlestripe to hear about her sneaking out. The trio came to the squirrel and ate it as they conversed. Then, when the sun started to set, Blackkit went in the nursery and drifted off, listening to the others chatter about the fireflies.

My longest chapter yet! I hope I did well with the spacings of the paragraphs, and I'd like to hear about it in the reviews! I'll be back soon! Bai!
