Hey guys! This is going to be the first chapter and prologue of this story. Please enjoy!
12 Years before Cannon
It was December 1, 2XXX, and it was Kaleb's birthday. His mom promised him to take him to Ney York, to see a Broadway show as a present. Sadly, his dad couldn't come because of hero work. "Man, this is so great mom!" said an enthusiastic Kaleb. "It's all just for you son." his mother said with an uncomfortable face. "What's wrong?" Kaleb asked, "I think we are being followed honey," "Let's go somewhere safe." his mom said. Walking around the streets of New York, they were close to a police station when suddenly, a villain attacked. Kaleb and his mom ran into an ally, which was their mistake. "Well, this is my lucky day!" said a dark figure. "W-who are you?" Kaleb whimpered. "As you may know, I am the Mask Seller!" he said. The Mask Seller was a psychopath, who enjoyed kidnaping kids, and put strange masks on them, which often gave them a curse of sorts. The Mask Seller grabbed a gun and attempted to shoot at Kaleb. Unfortunately, his mom jumped in front of him to protect Kaleb. "MOM!" Kaleb screamed. His mother lay silent on the ground, blood spilling out of her. "I always hate when the parents protect the children," "I was going to have some fun with her." the Mask Seller said. Kaleb, enraged, awakened his quirk, and tried to use his whip to attack the Mask Seller, but sadly since Kaleb hadn't used his quirk before. "Your attack was futile," he said. Too shocked to anything, Kaleb just stood there. The Mask Seller grabbed Kaleb and put a temporary mask over his head, and Kaleb passed out from shock.
When Kaleb woke up, he was in a lab of sorts, tied to a chair. Seeing the Mask Seller coming out of the shadows, Kaleb yelled, "What are you going to do to me!". "I'm just going to put a mask on you." he said as he pulled out a mask. (Just imagine Obito's mask from Naruto, but with two eyeholes and it's white). "This mask I made for you, is almost indestructible, so no one can see you face anymore!" he said hysterically. "AHHHHHHHHH!" yelled Kaleb. The mask was painful, as it stuck needles into his head to stay in. As that happened, hero's busted through the lab. "Well looks like I got to go, see Ya!" spat out the Mask Seller as he ran away. The hero's that night couldn't find the Mask Seller, because he just disappeared. The whole experience was traumatizing for Kaleb. Kaleb yelled out to the heavens, "I'LL BECOME THE GREATEST HERO, AND I WILL TAKE DOWN THE MASK SELLER!".
