Ben woke up the next morning in the same position. Miranda's head was on his chest and her hand on his lower stomach.

He watched her for a few more moments playing with her soft brown hair.

Miranda mumbled incoherently waking up and Ben looked down at her.

"How long have you been up?" She asked into his chest.

"Not long maybe 8 or so minutes."

"Oh okay. I didn't mean to fall asleep on you physically and literally. You could have moved me off." Miranda yawed sliding to the side of him.

"You were sleeping peacefully and snoring. So I didn't want to move you. It seemed like it was a well needed sleep."

"I did sleep good and I don't snore." Miranda stated.

"You do and it's actually very cute."

"Whatever." Miranda said

"What's your plans for today " Ben asked sitting up.

"I don't have to work. I took off of work until I feel like your okay if I leave you alone."

"I'm not four." Ben chuckled.

"I know and I don't mean to treat you like a child. I just didn't know what state you'd be in, but hell you went out yesterday by yourself and got a date." Miranda stated then crossed her arms.

"I'm sorry about that truly." Ben said sincerely.

"It's only okay because you don't have any memory, but if you were you it would have ended a lot differently."

"You sound violent." Ben said raising and eyebrow.

"I'm am and very territorial. You belong to me. The fact that she was willing to go out with you with a wedding ring on your finger says a lot about her." She answered

"Maybe she didn't se-" Ben started.

"Oh she saw it. We are women. We are trained to see and pickup on everything." Miranda retorted cutting him off.

Ben laughed. "You said I'm a firefighter. Can I see the station." Ben questioned.

"Of course. Let me call your boss and inform him of everything and let him know we are stopping by." Miranda said sliding out of bed.

Ben looked over Miranda several times. She had a long sleeve pajama top on that was pink, but she must have removed her pants last night. She was looking in her dresser drawer for clothes to put on for today and her delicious ass and thighs were on display.

Ben took in her purple lace underwear that barely contained her ass. He was looking at her milk chocolate skin through the lace and his eyes traveled up and he bit his lip. The panties crisscrossed going up her butt.

"Hey Ben so I was thinking we could stop and get breakfast then go. Is that cool?"

Ben eyes never left her bottom.

"You hear me Benjamin." Miranda said. When he didn't answer she turned to see what had his attention and she blushed.

"Oh my God Ben, why didn't you say something? I completely forgot. I got hot last night and took them off." Miranda said walking over to the side of the bed and grabbing her pants.

"I uh. Mm" Ben responded still out of it.

"You gave me that same reaction the first time you saw me in my panties." Miranda informed him giggling.

"Are you sure I don't give you that reaction every time. It's impressive. I mean I have never seen anything like it." Ben responded.

"You're so silly." She replied laughing hard.

Miranda pulled out her pill organizer he gave her and the bottle of water on her nightstand.

She took out all the pills and Ben stared trying to count them.

"Not to be nosey ,but why do you have so many pills?" Ben asked.

"I have statins, fluoxetine, dapts, and clonazepam." Miranda told him.

"You have high blood pressure, anxiety, and your taking heart medication and what else?" He said

"I have ocd and anxiety, but I'm fine and I'm handling it and I had a heart attack 6 months ago."

"Oh God, what happened? Were you stressed."

"I was extremely stressed and because I have ocd and anxiety it heightened it and it's difficult to process and manage. Also a lot of things kept happening, but I'm okay I promise." Miranda explained she didn't want to tell him that it had to do with his decision to put his life in danger.

Ben got up and went to go shower while Miranda showered as well. The two got breakfast on the way to the fire station and ate in the car. When the were finished they got out going inside.

"This is nice." Ben said as they walked in.

"It is. You gave me a tour a few months ago and I could try a give you one now, but I don't think I would do it any justice." Miranda laughed and Ben too.

She grabbed his hand and led him to the stairs.

"Come on your team should be up here eating breakfast." Miranda said pulling his hand. She frowned when he didn't move. "What's wrong are you nervous?" She asked trying to read his facial expression.

"No it's not that I'm nervous. I just don't remember or know any of them." Ben replied.

"I know and I will introduce you to everyone and make sure they don't overwhelmed you." Miranda said seriously.

The walked up the stairs and opened the door and Miranda smiled seeing everyone eating breakfast like she thought.

"Good morning everyone." Miranda said walking in.

"Chief Bailey." Pruitt Herrera said.

"Bailey." Miller smiled and everyone said hello as well.

"Ben this is your boss Captain Pruitt Herrera, this is Dean Miller, Victoria Hughes but Vic is fine, lieutenant Jack Gibson, Andy Herrera, Maya Bishop and last but not least Travis Montgomery. Fill free to call them all by their last name." Miranda finished.

"It's nice meeting all of you." Ben said smiling. "I mean to see you all again." He changed.

Ben pulled out a chair so Miranda could sit down and he pulled one out for his self.

"Do you two want breakfast?" Captain Herrera asked.

"I would like some fruit, but nothing heavy we just ate." Miranda answered and Dean got up and got her a bowl so she could get some pineapples and strawberries.

"So is there anything you want to know? We are an open book." Travis said smiling cutting into his pancakes.

"Uh how did my first day go?" Ben asked.

"I'll take that question." Vic said sitting up. "You sucked. You were trying to be a show off and it failed you. You were a rookie, but because you were a doctor you kept trying to do everything that this job does not require." Hughes said.

"I didn't like you at first then we almost died together."

"What do you mean we almost died."

"Yeah elaborate." Miranda said sitting up

"We were working on air consumption drills that day and you were paired up with me. You ran out of air half way through, but I still had half a tank left because I'm awesome and you wanted to know my trick and I wouldn't tell you.

We got a call about a school fire and it turns out it's your kid's school and he was the one who actually pulled the fire alarm hoping you would come."

Miranda eyed widened "wait one minute Benjamin our son pulled the fire alarm and you didn't tell me." Miranda yelled hitting his arm.

"Hey it's not fair to hit me when I don't remember and I'm sure I had a good reason not to tell you."

"Okay well he's definitely going to hear about it." Miranda mumbled. "Continue." She said finally.

"Okay so we get inside of the building to make sure it's clear and then we see Tuck. He starts walking away from you while you were calling his name. You eventually caught up with him and grabbed his hands seeing the blue dye. You immediately go old man on him and start asking him why would you do that and talk about the serious trouble he was in.

Tuck leads us to the bathroom and his friend was pregnant and in labor. He informed us that he did everything he knew to do. He put her head up, got towels and he timed the contractions to 2.3 minutes apart.

So you're all proud of him because he knew what to do and your like mmm another doctor in the family."

"Aww oh my goodness. I'm so proud of him. He is so smart." Miranda cheered.

"Needless to say you delivered the girl's baby with my help and Tucks. We leave and get another call later that day, we arrive at the scene of an over turned tanker."

"I assigned you and Hughes to tend to the tanker driver." Andy interjected.

"Jack and I diverted the traffic." Maya informed.

"We picked up the tanker driver from the road, but we put him down because we needed to tend to the deep wound he had. You noticed that it was extremely hot and I knew something was wrong."

"As I'm helping the driver of the car. Our colleague from team b starts yelling to put him out as though he is on fire." Travis said.

"That's when I realize what was going on. I yell for you and Vic to get the victim out now and that we need to clear the area immediately." Andy said

Miranda sat listening to the story like it was like a movie. This was the first time she could really see why her husband chose this career. It was thrilling.

"I ran and grabbed the foam off the truck and sprayed down our colleague." Maya stated.

"I killed the lights on the rig and the engine. It became pitch black and that's when we saw it, the fire on his leg and the blue fire creating a barrier between us and you two." Jack said nodding his head at Ben and Vic.

"I started to grab the hose, but Andy stopped me because water will only make it spread." Dean added.

"So what kind of fire was this?" Miranda asked curiously.

"It was an ethanol fire. The chemicals burn clear invisible to the naked eye, but in the dark its a pretty blue." Andy responded.

"You noticed a small opening that we might could have gotten through, but we both knew that the victim couldn't so we had to think of other options." Vic continued with the story.

I instructed Warren to cover his mouth with gauze. Blue fire is sticky, so we couldn't stump it out like regular fire. We knew with the heat radiating, it will soon become too hot for us to breathe without burning our lungs. We covered the victim with foil and use the small oxygen tank for him. We also poured saline onto him and used whatever was left on our selves.

After we did all we could think off we just had to wait to be rescue. The air eventually started to hurt, but then you reminded me off the drill we did earlier so we could limit our breathing. Now the flames were surrounding us on all sides and the flames were getting closer. It was so hot that my boot started melting.

You looked me in the eyes and we did the tea pot dance and no I will not let the rest of you in on it." Hughes said turning to the them before the could ask.

"The team drove the engine through the fire and save us. Now the rest is history."

"Wow that was intense." Ben said smiling and Miranda hit him.

"You almost died." Miranda said hitting him again.

"Again no memory." Ben said chuckling rubbing his arm.

"You act like that hurt. Did that hurt?" Miranda asked rubbing his arm.

"No... Can I have a tour?" Ben asked.

"Of course." Vic and Travis hopped up.

"You coming Miranda." Ben asked turning to her.

"No, I'm fine you go." She ushered him.

When the left out Miranda sat there for a moment taking a deep breath.

"How you holding up Dr. Bailey?"

"I'm managing. It's hard when your husband doesn't remember you." Miranda said trying not to get an attitude. She didn't want to blame this stupid station.

"I'm sorry." Dean and Jack said simultaneously.

"It will get better." Herrera informed.

"I know. It will." Miranda smiled trying to be positive.

After they were leaving. Ben chuckled on the way out.

"What are you laughing at?" Miranda asked turning to him.

"I'm just glad I found out who Vic was. I was worried about 2017 me. I didn't know what he had going on."

"Huh?" Miranda asked confused as he opened her car door.

"Vic has been texting me everyday for the past three days. She just said I miss you with a 19. I didn't know who she was, but a woman texting a married man's phone I miss you everyday doesn't sound good." Ben stated and Miranda laughed.

"Why didn't you just ask me?" She questioned

"Because what if she was like a secret girl or something. I just blocked her." Ben laughed.

"You're not crazy enough to cheat on me. I don't think you could physically or mentally do it." Miranda stated seriously.

"And why is that?"

"Because you love me too much. "

Later that evening their large coffee table was littered with empty containers of General Tso chicken, shrimp lo Maine and fried rice. They hadn't bothered with plates. Both of them starving, they dove right in, eating straight from the boxes.

The two moved the boxes to the floor and pulled out games.

Miranda rolled the dice back and forth between her palms and, with a silent prayer, tossed them on the table.

As the dice landed on the table, she squealed in delight and bounced in her seat, bringing Ben's attention back to the game. She planted her playing piece in the center of the board with a triumphant smile.

"Blue. Geography. This is for the game."

Miranda was bitter about losing the first game over what she deemed 'a stupid misprint' on the answer key.

"Ben, the capital of Thailand is not Kuala Lumpur. That's the capital of Malaysia and you know it."

"I'm sorry, Miranda, but the card says Kuala Lumpur."

She snatched it from his hand and in a fury pulled her phone from her pocket to confirm the correct answer on google.

"Right here, Ben. Look. Bangkok. Bang-stupid-kok."

"But, Miranda, the card says..."

"Seriously, Benjamin Warren? Really?"

Her deafening silence and icy glare would have cut down any other man but not Ben he truly wasn't scared of her. He enjoyed this other side of Miranda, the competitive side. It was sexy.

Miranda demanded a rematch and he wisely obliged.

Ben pulled a card from the box and smirked.

Even he, who favorite subject was Geography had no idea what the answer was.

"What's the capital of Honduras?"

A huge grin spread across her face and she began to pump her fist in triumph.

"Tegucigalpa."

"Hmph. Impressive accent. That makes it one-one. Best of three tonight?"

"That first round should have been voided, but fine. Set it up, Ben."

Adolf Hitler began World War II by attacking which country in 1939?"

Tapping his finger on the coffee table and furrowing his brows, Ben appeared deep in thought as he stared into space. Miranda leaned in closer, holding her breath and worrying her lower lip as she awaited his response. The wait was agonizing.

He suddenly looked up at her, his face the picture of nonchalance, and casually uttered his answer.

"Poland."

Ben didn't need confirmation that his answer was correct. Her face had begun to contort into a frightening, chilling alter ego of the woman he was getting to know. Gone were the soft welcoming smile and large warm eyes. They were replaced with dark menacing slits and lips pressed firmly together in a scowl.

Jaw clenched, Miranda reached over and shoved the plastic yellow wedge into Ben's playing piece. His tiny little pie was now complete.

"You still need to return to the hub, you know."

She downed the remaining wine in her glass and crossed her arms.

Ben cupped the dice and blew on them before tossing them on the board.

Six.

Miranda rolled her eyes and laughed incredulously, shaking her head in disbelief.

"Unbelievable."

He had landed on the hub. The question was for the game and the prize that came with it.

She got to choose the category.

Pink.

Entertainment. "You never choose medical? Ben replied

"We both know that to well." Miranda said rolling her eyes

She chortled at the category. Ben's idea of entertainment consisted of the nature channel, Sports, and music from the 80's

"Who was the official hair consultant to the 1999 Los Angeles Olympics?"

She snickered as she read the question and smacked the card down, reaching over for the dice.

"Eliza to."

The corners of Ben's mouth twitched and he bit the inside of his cheek, trying his best to suppress his laughter.

Right now she looked absolutely livid. He could see the blood boiling beneath her skin, the vein in her temple beginning to pulse and her nostrils flare. Her lips were pursed and her ebony eyes bore through him. He watched as her breasts slowly rose and fell as she took a deep breath to calm herself.

Miranda was beautiful and sensuous, but he noted an extra alluring glow about her when she was angry. And right now she was wound up and pissed off.

The look on her face was ferocious and wild. He wanted to surrender to her fury, let her unleash the rage he could see her fighting to quell. But, he also wanted his prize.

"I think that's best of three, Chief.

Miranda rolled her eyes "Fine tomorrow at 12." Miranda huffed cleaning up.

"Why are you mad Miranda?" Ben asked trying not to laugh.

"I'm not mad. " she said clicking her teeth.

"But you are." Ben countered.

"Okay I'm pissed off because you cheated." She explained and started whining

"How did I cheat?" Ben asked seriously.

"Because you knew my answer was correct, but you want me to go golfing with you so bad you wouldn't emit that round."

"Miranda golfing is fun and you will have a good time."

"I doubt that." Miranda sneered.

At 12 o'clock promptly Miranda met Ben in the living room and he almost joked on his water.

She was no doubt the sexiest woman alive to him. She had on black Nike shoes. A white fitted skirt that stop mid thigh. A black sports tank top and black golf sun visor hat. He absolutely loved the look of her hair in a ponytail.

"You ready?" Miranda asked grabbing the water bottle from him.

"Yes." Ben responded grabbing the keys.

Miranda looked him up and down she always loved this looked on him. Khaki short with a white polo shirt. His biceps were huge and he looked sexy. She wanted him to orchestrate and manipulate her body in so many pleasurable ways.

"You can stare in the car." Ben said opening the door breaking her stare.

Miranda cleared her throat and shook her head to clear thoughts. She wanted her husband badly and truthfully it had been a while.

Ben drove them to the golf course and rested his hand on her thigh casually swiping his hand back and forth.

"Mmmh... what are you doing?" Miranda asked looking up at him biting her lip as heat flooded her body.

"What did I - Ben stared to asked before glancing at his hand on her thigh.

"I'm sorry." Ben said moving his hand.

"It's completely fine I just didn't expect it." She assured him.

Ben parked the car and then walked around helping Miranda out.

"Can we get a golfing cart." Miranda asked excitedly.

"Why are you so excited about that?" Ben asked smiling wrapping his hand around her waist.

Miranda cocked her head to the side to see his face.

"Because that's what I see on tv." She smiled.

"Yeah come on let's go inside and get the keys. I still have an account here right?" Ben asked her.

" I think you do. You still go golfing, but not as much because of our busy work schedules."

Ben and Miranda went inside and as soon as the man eyes landed on Ben he smiled.

"Hey man. It's been a while." Frank said smiling.

Ben mentally groaned now he had to pretend he knew someone else. The only person he remember from this place was a guy name Sean.

Miranda eyed him briefly to see what he was going to do.

"Hey man it has been while." Ben commented.

"So this must be Miranda?" Frank asked.

"Yep the one and only." Ben responded smiling pulling her into him.

"Miranda this Frank." Ben said reading his name tag. "And Frank this is my beautiful wife Miranda."

"Hi it's nice to meet you." Miranda said sweetly smiling.

"It's nice to meet you too and to finally put a face to the name. I remember 9 years ago when I met Ben he was so nervous about you all's first date then months later he was coming in saying he was going to propose." Frank smiled.

"He goes on and on about his beautiful surgeon wife Miranda. "

"Aww baby." Miranda smiled to Ben rubbing his face. Her husband was so sweet.

Ben face was distant so Miranda knew he was trying to remember or just simply thinking.

"We came in to get a cart." Ben said.

"Okay let me get the keys." Frank responded walking to a board full of keys. He also gave them some clubs because Miranda and Ben didn't know where his were at the house.

Miranda took a look around at the golfing course. Surprisingly enough, there weren't many people around the Royal Woods park.

"Ugh Golf," she said as Ben set up to play the first hole. "This might not be that bad Benjamin."

"See I told you." Ben retorted.

After setting the ball, Miranda grabbed a golf club at random and got ready to hit the ball. Utmost concentration was required by her side to make sure she could one-shot the hole, and once she was in complete concentration, she swung her golf club and watched for the ball...

But it wasn't going down. Nor did it seem to be anywhere at all.

That is until she looked down, where she saw the ball was still in place. Ben burst out laughing, he was trying his best to hold it.

Miranda whipped around and pouted then rolled her eyes at him

"Baby you have the wrong club and two you can't close your eyes when your swing."

Ben handed her the right club. "You use the big club for long distance holes. Irons are for shorter distance." He stated.

Miranda was still in a daze that he called her baby for the first time since he lost his memory. She swung the club again and, successfully hitting the ball this time, she watched as the golf ball went towards the hole... then missed it by a couple of inches.

Ben cheered her on and watched as his wife was so focused. She looked desirable biting her lip trying to concentrate.

Miranda went to the ball, swung again... and the thing missed the hole once more.

"So, this is how you're going to play, ball?" Miranda said, cracking her knuckles.

"Let me help you." Ben said grabbing both her thigh from behind pulling her flush against him.

"You have to swing it with form." He placed her leg a little forward. Then dragged his hand up her body until his hands rested under breast. Turning her body slightly.

Miranda was no more good she leaned her head against his chest and her breathing changed.

"Oh God." Miranda moaned softly as his hands rubbed her again. Ben stiffen against her.

"You okay." Ben whispered in her ear and he felt her shiver. He knew the effect he was having on her. It was hot as hell outside and she shivered.

Miranda licked her lips. If he was his self. She would have dragged him to the car already. She missed her husband more than anything.

"Yes I'm okay." Miranda mumbled. "Show me the form again with less touching." She said back with a slight attitude she knew he was rubbing her on purpose.

Ben chuckled and showed her again.

"Okay I got it." Miranda said as Ben stepped back.

Miranda concentrated then swung the golf club like Ben told her and the ball flew into the hole.

She dropped the golf club and started dancing a little before running into Ben's arms.

"I did it." She cheered pecking his lips happily before she realized what she had done.

Ben looked down into her doey brown eyes before he placed his hands on both sides of her face and pulled her back to him, his lips finding hers immediately.

Miranda would like to say she resisted, but she didn't. Her brain didn't have a thought in it. She sank into him and the kiss, feeling his body under her hands and his lips on hers. Their lips moving slowly against each other's, until in an instance of boldness she tilted her head and deepened the kiss, her tongue sliding against his. And then there was no air between their bodies, their mouths fused and hungry.

They pulled apart before looking at each other once more. He grabbed her ass through her skirt and they lean in again. His tongue glided along her bottom lip, demanding entrance, which she obliged eagerly. His soft, warm, flat tongue plunged inside her depths, probing and exploring the warm wetness of her mouth.

Miranda wrapped her arms around his neck and moaned through the kiss. He was kissing her like it was their first time all over again.

Ben sucked on her bottom lip. Leaving nothing else to be desired. Her lips were soft and succulent and her taste was indescribable. He didn't know if he could ever get enough of her. He can definitely see why he married her, she was addicting. He felt like he was a junkie. Everything about her was perfect and right.

Ben pulled her thigh up on his and Miranda had a right mind to wrap both of them around him.

She pushed against his chest to stop him before they went to far. "I don't..." Miranda said breathing raggedy.

"What was that?" Ben asked pulling her bottom lip into his mouth causing her to whimper and whine.

"I don't have sex on the third date." She said pushing him back from her.

"Me either." Ben told her seriously.

"When do you think is the right time." Miranda asked playfully because she knew he didn't get it.

Ben paused thinking hard about it. "Um we will probably know it when the time presents itself. Maybe between date 8 or-"

"12." Miranda interjected.

"Have I said this before?" Ben questioned.

"Something very close on our third date." She replied.

"I can't believe I'm dating my wife." Ben mumbled to what he thought was his self.

"You and me both." Miranda said in disbelief.
