Lucy POV
It was a Friday night and I was driving to Bixslow and Lisanna's house. On the weekends Elizabeth goes with the two of them so she can spend time with them. I couldn't believe I was driving Elizabeth to my boyfriend's ex-wife's house. This will be awkward because the last time I saw her was in court. We didn't speak, but I had to be there as a support system.
Natsu was supposed to drop her off, but he had to go do something important, so I decided to drop Elizabeth off at Lisanna's place. When I pulled up in front of their house I had taken a deep breath. I felt like I was about to have an anxiety attack because I didn't want history to repeat itself. I took another deep breath and got out of the car to wake Elizabeth up who was sleepy.
I opened the door because it was on child lock and I saw Elizabeth leaning over. I heard light snores coming from her and I started to gently shake her awake. She got up and started to get out of the car. I had her bag in my hand and she walking to the front door. I had to jog after her because I didn't want her to fall. I had just grabbed her hand and to the door with her.
When I was in front of the door I took another deep breath and knocked on the door. I waited for a minute until she came and opened the door. Lisanna had smiled when she saw a sleepy Elizabeth. Elizabeth didn't seem like she was in a happy mood since she was sleepy. Lisanna had caught on and taken Elizabeth's other hand while I had let go of the one I was holding.
Lisanna started to direct her I guess to her room where she had no trouble getting her there. I was at the door waiting to say bye. Lisanna came back surprised and then she had smiled at me and said: "I've never seen Elizabeth out like a lightbulb like that,". "Me too, she's usually an active person," I smiled.
"I know right!" she walked towards the kitchen and pulled out a wine glass and some wine. "You want some?" she asked as I nodded. She pulled out another wine glass and started to fill it up a little. "Take a seat," she smiled at me as I slowly walked to the couch and sat down. She walked over to the couch with the two wine glasses in her hands and handed one to me.
She comfortably sat down as I nervous started to drink my wine. "So Lucy, how's it been?" she asked. "It's been alright," I quietly said not looking at her. "Come on Lucy loosen up, why you so nervous?" she tapped me. I was afraid to say something because I didn't want to offend her.
"Look I don't want you to feel threaten by me trying to steal Natsu away from you," she straight up told me. "I'm sorry it's just that I'm still a little bothered with what happened with the two of you at the festival and we just got back together," I exclaimed. I sighed because it felt good to get that off my chest. "It's okay, I fully understand, but it's all in the past," she tried to calm me down.
"I know, but it's just that I'm still bothered by what happened. Natsu thinks I've gotten over it, but deep down I really haven't gotten over what had happened," I told her. "And I understand, believe me, I wouldn't either," she had taken a sip of her wine. "I mean I hate to admit it, but a guy like Natsu is hard to forget, and not with just his childish ways," she admitted. "I know right," I agreed.
"The looks, personality, motives, and the sex," she smirked at the end. I giggled a little bit when she said sex. "So what he likes now, has he gotten better?" she asked sipping some more of her wine. I took a sip as well because I was going to have to get a little loose. "I'm not gonna lie, he is an animal in bed," I started to have thoughts about the events and almost started to zone out.
"That is one of the things I can agree about with you," she bit her lips. "Yeah, but sometimes I can't even handle him," I whined. "Tell me about it, it's like he doesn't have an off switch, its good and bad at the same time," she exaggerated. "Yeah, I remember when we both climaxed and I was laying there exhausted while he still wanted more," I exclaimed. "That has happened a couple of times when we had sex, but it had started to happen a lot when we had our own place and a couple of months after Elizabeth was born. We couldn't do it a lot because our parents didn't know about it," she sighed.
"I have to ask you a question?" I simply asked as she looked at me. "How did teen pregnancy feel?" she sighed and started to think about it. "It's scary because even though we had a support system, I didn't feel like I was ready to be a mother, I had a lot of dreams I wanted to do before I had Elizabeth. It's a blessing that she is here and I love her very much, but I just feel like life hit me too hard," she exclaimed. She seemed like she had a hard time explaining it.
"I'm sorry that you had to go through that," I didn't want to upset her and she had smiled. "It's okay, but I have to admit, as immature Natsu is, he did tell me not to worry about anything and that he would take care of me and Elizabeth," she looked down and smiled. "He kept his word and instead of using his parents' money, he decided to earn his own hardworking money. I remember he was working three jobs and on top of that he had school to deal with and he wasn't the best when it came to school," she sighed. "We went through some pretty rough times because I remember when he bought our first house which was very small, but we made it work out. I'm grateful that he kept his promises," I saw a tear roll down her cheek and I had hugged her.
"I'm sorry, that you had to go through that," I apologized. "It's okay, you had nothing to do with it," she patted my back. "Let's change the subject, so some of our friends we went to Fairy Tail Academy with say they know you," she pointed out. "Yeah I went there, but you wouldn't notice me," I told her. "Wait, but how come I never got to meet you, even my older sister Mirajane says she knew you," she was a bit confused.
"Well, that was because when I went there I took other classes," I exclaimed. "Oh, what classes did you take?" she asked me. "Well, I took advance placement classes and also did dual credit," I told her. "Wait, but if you and I are the same age, shouldn't we have met?" she asked me pointing at the both of us. "Yes, but growing up I was a smart kid and had a high IQ level, so my parents would have me homeschooled. Going to school didn't work out so well due to some of the teachers's not even knowing the simplest things, so I was homeschooled until I missed school and wanted to go back. I went back to school when I was 14 years old and I was a senior at Fairy Tail," I exclaimed.
"I was a freshman, that kinda explains why I didn't know you and why my sister did," she figured it out. "But I don't understand why she didn't introduce you to the gang?" she was still confused. "She did, but I didn't know everybody, plus I was a shy person," I told her. "You don't seem shy," she looked closely at me. "That's because I developed over the years," I smiled.
"I'm still confused about something," she said. "And that is-" I tried to guess until she finished: "If you are so smart or intelligent, how did you become a nanny?" she curiously looked at me. "Are you undercover for the FBI or CIA? Natsu doesn't do anything illegal and he loves you," she freaked out. "Lisanna calm down, I don't work for the FBI or CIA, if I did then I would be somewhere else instead of here," I calmed her down. "Oh okay!" she sighed with relief.
"But why did you become a nanny? You could have any high paying job in the world or even start your own business, just why did you pick a nanny?" she simply asked me. "Lisanna, if something is easy to you would you do it?" I asked her as she shook her head. "Well that's how I feel about these jobs in the world, they're too easy for me and not a challenge, so I remember I would babysit my niece and she was hard to take care of when my brother and his wife would go somewhere. That was the first time I actually left challenged, so I decided I was going to learn how to take care of kids," I took a sip of my wine.
"Well that's amazing that you want to do something that challenges you," she seemed so amazed. "Yeah, being a nanny is more of a side job, I like to write books," I smiled. "Oh, I've read some of them, they're good," she smiled. "Yeah, usually during my free time I write a chapter or two," I told her.
"But being done with school, having best selling books, do you ever have time to go out with somebody?" she asked me. "I'm with Natsu," I told her. "No, I mean before you dated Natsu, were you with anybody?" she asked. "Surprisingly, yes, but don't tell Natsu," I pleaded. "I won't tell, he doesn't even like talking to me like that," she told me.
"I think I dated like four people before I dated Natsu and two of them I was sexual with," I told her as she seemed surprised. "Well, Natsu was the only guy I had been with until I met Bixslow. Everything had changed once I met him," she sadly smiled. "What's wrong?" I asked her. "I feel bad for leaving Natsu and Elizabeth just because of my stupid affair with Bixslow," she started to cry a little bit and I was wiping away the tears. "I had a family and I left it. You know Bixslow is trying to get me pregnant," she sighed. "What's stopping you?" I asked her.
"Guilt!" she took a sip of her drink. "Well stop feeling guilty, I know it sounds wrong coming from me, but Natsu and Elizabeth have forgiven you. Even though he keeps shaming you for it, it shouldn't affect your happiness. You guys both found someone you loved and y'all should just forget what happened," I told her as she smiled. "Thanks, Lucy!" she smiled.
"So how is it being with Natsu?" she asked me. "It's good, I honestly didn't expect to be going out with him," I admitted. "Why you say that?" I bit on my bottom lip. "Because Natsu wasn't my type until I got to know him. I thought he only wanted to get into my pants, and I tried my best to keep it professional, but he wouldn't stop hitting on me," I told her as she started to laugh a little bit.
"He wasn't your type?" she was surprised. "No, not really and I was kinda in a relationship around that time," I told her. "For real, was it sexual?" she was of course going to be curious. "No, but we were kinda close to it," I took a sip of my wine. "So what happened, did he break up with you," she was a bit worried. "I didn't say it was a he," I smirked while she looked surprised.
"You're bisexual? I thought you were straight," she was shocked. "I'm bisexual, not many know that I go both ways. She broke up with me because I didn't make time for her, but I was okay with it. She was one of my mom's friends daughter's, her name is Brandish," I told her.
"Oh wow!" she started to fill her bottle up. "But it's great being with Natsu, I'm just wondering when he's going to pop the question," she was confused at first until she caught on. "You mean when he's going to ask you to marry him?" she smiled. "Yes, but I can't rush things, I have to date him for at least two years," I sighed. "What's wrong with now?" "It just doesn't seem right at the time, I at least want everything to be settled with the two of you, his career, and mines as well," she had nodded as I spoke.
"I understand!" she took a sip of her wine. My phone started to ring and I pulled it out of my pocket to see it was Natsu who was calling me.
Me: Hello!
Natsu: Hey Luce, where are you?
Me: I'm at Lisanna's house, I'm just chatting with her.
Natsu: Oh okay! Umm, when are you coming back?
Me: I'll be on my way, just give me about 20 minutes.
Natsu: Okay, call me when you are on your way.
Me: Will do.
I had hung up the phone and put it away in my pocket. "Well, I'll have to leave, enjoy your weekend with Lisanna and Bixslow," I got up off the couch. "Okay, you get home safely," she smiled. "I hope we could be friends and stop having this uncomfortable rivalry," she nervously asked. "Yeah, I wouldn't mind us being friends, you don't seem like a bad person," I started to walk towards the door so I could let myself out.
"Drive home safely," she told me as I left her house. She waved at me and I waved back at her. She had stood outside until I drove off towards Natsu's house. It wasn't so bad talking to my boyfriend's ex-wife or baby-mama. I think Lisanna and I are going to be great friends and she seems supportive of me and Natsu's relationship.
When I made it to Natsu's house I had parked the car and started to make my way towards the front door. When I opened the door I saw Natsu sitting in the living room. "There you are," he got up off the couch and walked towards me. "Sorry to worry you," I gave him a peck on the lips. "It's okay, but what were you and Lisanna talking about?" he asked me. "Stuff," I smiled and started to walk away towards my room. He seemed like he was going to question me again, but left it alone. I just went to my room, got into my pajamas, and went to bed.
