Chapter 11
After finishing getting ready, they made their way to the hall. Guests have begun to arrive for tomorrow's celebration. When they approached the hall, the doors opened to the merriment of laughter and music.
Sesshomaru looked up when he saw Kagome in an emerald green brocade kimono with golden obi. Her hair was in a simple updo and golden sticks held it in place. He made his way over to her with his eyes fixated only on her. He placed his hand on her lower back to guide her to the seat on his right. Rin and Mikazuki followed right behind them. Everyone's eyes fell on the demon lord and miko with the hanyou pup sitting between them.
After introductions were made, food and drinks were served. Kagome felt uncomfortable with the stares of a particular Inu demon. His name is Tsuki. Apparently he is a strategist to the lord's army. He has black eyes that felt it was piercing thru her. His hair was pulled back into a ponytail with his soft strawberry blond like her pup and wore a menacing scowl on his face. His mate Chika was friendly as well as their daughter Anzu.
Sesshomaru felt Kagome was uncomfortable when he noticed she was being stared at by Tsuki. He took Kagome's hand into his and brought it up to his lips as he placed a soft affectionate kiss. Kagome's face turned red by the sudden affection. Rin giggled at the sight before bringing Kagome back to herself. She smiled at the stoic demon lord but never let go of his hand.
The night continued on with Mikazuki asleep in his mama arms. Sesshomaru excused himself to escourt Rin and Kagome to their rooms as he took the sleeping pup from Kagome. After placing the sleeping pup on the bed, Sesshomaru walked over to Kagome who was by the balcony.
"Are you ok?" As he placed a hand on her shoulder.
"I am now. Why was Tsuki staring at me like that? I've never met him until tonight."
"Maybe he was mesmerized by your beauty." As he turned to face her. "Just like I am." Looking at her.
"Oh you're just teasing! It's these beautiful clothes not plain ole me!" She giggled.
Taking her face into his palm "you are beautiful with or without clothes" he teased. He leaned in closer and placed a soft kiss on her lips.
Taken back by the sudden kiss, Kagome broke away looking at him in surprise "are you drunk or something?"
"This one never gets drunk or something. I've been wanting to kiss you for the longest time. You're beautiful Kagome." Stepping back with a smile. "Sleep well. Tomorrow will be a long day." walking to the door and closing it softly.
'Was I dreaming or was it real? Sesshomaru kissed me and he smiled!' Kagome was stunned.
