Chapter 13

After the celebration, Kagome put Mikazuki to bed. As she took off her clothes, she noticed a bruise forming around her waist. She felt dirty and violated especially since she didn't do anything to deserve that treatment. She sat by the balcony looking over at the sleeping pup in the bed. She was so lost in thought that she did not notice the demon lord enter her room. He wore only his silk pajama pants.

"Kagome" as he spoke softly not to startle her.

She looked up with tears flowing and silently went to him as he embraced her.

"This is so sad. Tsuki lost the love of his life and he's willing to leave Mikazuki with me to raise as my own son. What if he changes his mind and want to take him away? I won't be able to live if that happens."

Wiping her tears away "Mikazuki is your son. I will make sure he is never taken away from you. I promise you." Looking at her "did he do anything inappropriate to you?" Holding back his anger.

"He touched me and kissed my neck leaving these bruises thinking I was Kumi but nothing else further happened because I burnt his hand." Caressing the demon lord face to soothe him. "Thank you for coming to my aid."

"I would do anything for you Kagome." as he kissed her forehead. "Come get some rest. I want you with me in the morning to speak with Tsuki." As he held her hand and guided her to the bed. He pulled the blankets over her but she still held his hand.

"Can you stay with me until I fall asleep?"

"Hnn." As he slid into bed with her. Mikazuki on one end while Sesshomaru was on the other and Kagome laid snuggled in between both as she drifted off to sleep with the two inu demons who have stolen her heart.

The next day, Sesshomaru gave Tsuki the punishment that he would move to the northern end of the western lands to keep watch on that area and to stay far away from the palace. Tsuki put in formal writing that he relinquished all rights as a father of Mikazuki to Kagome. He will never speak or approach Kagome and the pup ever again. After the formalities were done, Tsuki was sent to make his move with his mate and daughter.

"You do know he will forever live with grief and loss of Kumi and Mikazuki. That alone is his punishment for the rest of his life." Kagome looked out the garden watching her pup running around with some other pups.

"Yes I know." Sesshomaru walked up behind Kagome and looked at the pup. "The pup is happy." as he placed a hand on her shoulder.

"He is." placing her hand over his "thank you for helping me making Mikazuki officially my son." intertwine her fingers thru his. "It seems I owe you another favor. The favors keep growing and you haven't asked for one as yet." She chuckled.

"I do have one."

Turning to face him "what is it?"

Sesshomaru pulled Kagome to his chest and passed his clawed hand thru her hair gently pulling back to expose her neck. He place a kiss on her neck and left a bite mark indicating that he has made a claim on her. It wasn't a mating mark. She let out a small moan as he bit her which aroused him and continued to kiss her neck and cheeks until their lips met. They kissed deeply and passionately for some time until a knock disrupted the moment.

Pulling away from each other "enter" he barked out in agitation.

Hikaru entered and smelled the intimacy in the air causing his face to turn red "I am sorry for interrupting but there is a young human man who requests to see you my lord. His name is Kohaku and he has a nekomata with him."

"Please let him in!" Kagome interrupted. "But please don't say anything to anyone else that he is here. Thank you Hikaru!"

Bowing and immediately leaving, he felt the tension eased between them.

"That was fast! Kohaku must have travelled day and night to get here! Let me get the maid to bring some refreshments." as Kagome left the study leaving a stunned demon lord with a smirk of amusement.
