The room began to come into focus. The first thing Ellie saw was Jimmy's concerned face staring down at her. She sat up and looked around only to see her entire team staring at her. She felt embarrassed and slightly angry at Jimmy for calling everyone down here. Dazed she rubbed her head and tried to stand up stumbling until Nick caught her and steadied her.

"Ellie what happened?" Mcgee asked

"I- uh, I just felt dizzy and then.." Ellie mumbled

"And then she fainted" Jimmy imposed

"Bishop, go home." Gibbs repeated

"Gibbs-" Ellie started to say

"That's an order." Gibbs replied, raising his voice.

Nick helped her to the elevator, one arm around her waist, and one carrying her bags.

They both stepped in and the doors closed behind them. The faint hum of the elevator began and the awkward silence filled the room.

"Ellie, I really am sorry about the other night." Nick began

"Don't- it was nice. I just don't think it's the best idea, you know with work and everything." Ellie stated, remembering the last time she had a workplace relationship.

Nick didn't know how to respond, and thankfully they heard a ding and the doors opened on the first floor.

"Do you need me to drive you home?" Nick asked

"Uh- no, I'll manage." Ellie replied

Without another word she made her way to the car not looking back as to avoid eye contact.

Ellie sat in her car breathing silently. She turned the keys and started the engine. As she was driving she saw a pharmacy, she stopped the car and went inside to search for orange juice and flu medicine. She grabbed the ice cold juice and hurried to the cashier. Just then she passed an aisle and her eyes fluttered and landed on a product. A pregnancy test. One possibility she had never thought of. Almost immediately she was sent into a panic thinking there was no possible way she could be pregnant. Then she remembered Nick, she groaned at the thought of her co-worker's child growing inside of her. After what seemed like an hour she snapped out of her daze and bought two pregnancy tests. She thought that there was no way that two pregnancy tests would come up false positive so she figured this way she could know, at least until a doctor could confirm it. She made her way to the cashier looking down at her feet and placed the tests and orange juice on the counter in front of her. Avoiding eye contact she paid the man and practically sprinted out of the store and back to her car.

When she arrived home she went straight for the bathroom. Three minutes later she mustered up the courage and flipped the tests up to face her. On one test was a plus sign, on the other was two bold blue bars. Pregnant.
