Harry and Draco both looked up at Ginny in shock. But Draco was not going to wait to be told twice. He hurried into her room. He stopped when he saw her curled into the fetal position on her bed. This broken Granger was worse than the one he had picked up off the floor. At least that one still had some fight left in her.

Draco sat on the bed next to her and started stroking her back. Ginny watched him wearily from the door way. He just sat there and waited for her. Finally she slowly uncurled herself and looked up at him. "I had to do something." Ginny was clueless but Draco knew exactly what Hermione was talking about. He pulled her into a hug and whispered in her ear. "It's fine love. He deserves worse." Hermione clung to him and buried her face into his chest. Ginny almost didn't believe what she was seeing. Hermione was okay with him, now? Ginny motioned for Harry to come see what was happening. Harry looked and almost pulled her away, but Ginny pulled him back and shut the door behind her, leaving Draco with Hermione by themselves.

"Did Ron try to come in? I heard a soft knocking for a little bit, but I had her in the bathroom at the time."

"Umm yeah... Malfoy actually had it spelled shut."

"What?!"

"Ron was banging and screaming to get in there."

"Banging and screaming? Why couldn't I hear him?"

"Maybe Malfoy's spell? I don't know. Ron tried to barge in, but Malfoy's spell stopped him. The git said something about not wanting to clean up a mess if Ron walked in on Hermione in her knickers. But... I don't know. It was the strangest thing. And now she's letting him comfort her... What's going on is what I want to know."

"Hmm me too."

They sat there until Malfoy quietly emerged from her room.

"Hermione's sleeping. Has Blaise gotten back yet?"

Ginny was the one to reply. "Not yet... So what's going on between you two? You and Hermione."

Draco paused. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Harry piped up this time, concern laced in with every word. "She doesn't just break down. Ever. Hermione's a rock. She doesn't crack. And the few times she has, she doesn't want anyone to see. Why you? Of all people, why would she ask for you? Why not Ginny? Or me? Or her boyfriend? Why you? You locked the door to make sure Ron wouldn't get in there after trying to stop me from letting him in. Why? There's got to be something going on between you two of you were trying to block out her boyfriend from..."

Harry didn't get a chance to finish.

"Like I said before Potter. You know nothing."

"That why I'm asking now! Cut the shite and tell us!"

"There's nothing I can tell you Potter."

"That's shite! Have you done something to her?"

"Hell no, you stupid dick! Why would I ever do anything to hurt her? Don't you dare insinuate that!"

Draco stopped himself there. He let on too much. Salazar's butt hole. But Potter didn't catch on. He just kept asking questions. Weaselette on the other hand gave him a curious look. Salazar help him.

"What can you not tell us, Ferret?"

"I don't know what you're talking about, Red."

"Could what you're not telling us have something to do with a Pepper-Up potion?"

"She told you then?"

"Yeah. Not quite all of it. I'm sure, but she did tell me."

"Then how can you even let your brother around her."

Ginny looked confused at that statement. Shit. She didn't really know. Or maybe Hermione had just mentioned the Pepper-Up and nothing else. And he just stuck his foot in his mouth.

"Don't worry about it. Hermione can take care of herself."

The look on Ginny's face said she wanted to argue, but she dropped it when Harry started talking about checking on Ron. She sent Harry on and stayed behind.

"So… I'm guessing you and her are friends now?"

"Maybe. What's it to you?"

"Just checking. Actually I commend you on the locking charm. Ron seemed in a right tizzy. Probably would have broken the door down if he continued or if it wasn't spelled."

Malfoy just nodded his head. They sat in silence for a little while until Blaise got back. Blaise took Draco to his room and had Draco tell him what went on. As Draco told his side of the story, Blaise's face changed from shock to anger to a curious grin. Draco really did like Granger.
