It won't be that easy dog and bitches. - A.

The three read on the mirror.

"Wait downstairs, I'll make sure he's not still in here." Scott says, rubbing Spencer's arm concerned.

"Thanks." Spencer says and leaves with Hanna, waiting for Aria and Emily, who arrive a few minutes later.

"It's fine there's no one here." The four girls hear Scott call from upstairs.

"Scott is here?" Aria asks, having just arrived with Emily.

"Yeah, but it's OK. A is messing with him too." Spencer says.

"So he says. He could be lying." Hanna chimes in.

"Why would he knock himself unconscious?" Spencer asks.

"Maybe he was faking. I mean he could be lying about the wolfsbane." Hanna says.

"Wolfsbane? He's deadly allergic to that stuff." Emily says.

"Are you sure?" Hanna asks.

"Yeah. He told me like almost a year ago." Emily replies.

"Faking or not, we should head upstairs or he'll get suspicious." Aria interrupts the discussion.

"Right." Hanna agrees and the four head to Spencer's room, seeing Scott scratch his head while looking at the message on the mirror.

" A was in your room?" Aria asks Spencer shocked.

"Yeah. Whoever it was knocked Scott out, left this message and displayed the flower on my kitchen table." Spencer informs them.

"Guys I don't feel safe here, can we go downstairs or something?" Hanna asks.

"Yes. Good idea and why don't you guys stay over." Spencer suggests.

"Sure." Aria agrees, with Hanna and Emily also nodding.

"What about you Scott?" Spencer asks, looking at the male in the room with everyone else.

"I think I should go home, you aren't exactly the best whisperers." He says, smiling at them saddened.

"Scott, no it's..." Aria tries to apologize for her suspicion, but Scott is already going downstairs and by the time they caught up he's already out of the house and on his way to his home.

"Sorry, did I screw things up?" Aria asks.

"No, I'm still not convinced he's not A." Hanna says bluntly.

"The damage is done now anyways." Emily says, going to the fridge and takes a water bottle.

"Sorry Spence." Aria apologizes guiltily.

"Why are you apologizing to me?" Spencer asks, looking at her funnily.

"You're the closest with him out of all of us." Aria replies.

"Well sure, but it's not like I'm interested in him or anything. He's like a reliable brother, which I desperately need sometimes with the nightmare that is my sister." Spencer tells her.

"Sure, anyways I have to talk about this. It's eating me up. A left my mom a note. She told my mom about my dad cheating on her a year ago and that I knew about it." Aria says, slumping in a chair tiredly.

"Wait what? Your dad cheated on your mom?" Hanna asks shocked.

"Yeah. Ali and I saw him." Aria answers.

"Alison knew?" Spencer asks suspiciously.

"Yeah. And she should be the only one. I don't understand how A could have known." Aria says.

"Well, the one who could have told us if Ali kept some kind of record went home just now..." Emily says a bit upset that Scott left because of Aria and Hanna, feeling indebted to him for saving her and for his support when Alison disappeared. He was the only one who knew how much Alison meant to her.

"You'll see him tomorrow no doubt. Ask him what he knows. I call dibs on the couch." Hanna says, flopping down on the couch in Spencer's living room.

"Make some room." Aria says chuckling, taking the second half of the large furniture.

The next morning Emily is the first one to wake up and goes to the Terrace, where she gets surprised by Scott heading her way out of the Hasting's barn.

"Oh hi. What were you doing in Spencer's barn?" Emily asks, slightly insecure about her revealing clothing, all of the girls having slept in tank tops and shorts.

"Hey, it's actually Melissa's place now but I knew I left some wood glue over there when I helped Spencer fix the place up." Scott says, shaking the glue bottle with a smirk.

"What do you need that for?" Emily asks.

"Well, while the lock should work again, the doorframe is still busted and I wanted to fix it." Scott tells her, showing her the damage on the door she just came through.

"Oh OK. I'm sorry for yesterday by the way." Emily says timidly.

"It is what it is. I guess with me knowing a lot about you all it's not crazy to think I could be the creep leaving messages." Scott says shrugging his shoulder before reading the instructions on the glue.

"The others are still asleep I think." Emily informs him, standing next to Scott in the doorway while he's working on the doorframe

"Emily? Where are you?" The two then hear Spencer's concerned voice ask from in the house.

"At the backdoor." Emily says and Spencer joins the two once she started her coffee maker.

"Scott. Hey, I'm sorry about yesterday. It was a crazy day." Spencer apologizes.

"Don't worry about it." Scott says, staring at her revealing clothes for a while before focusing back on the door and bites off a piece of duct tape while holding the broken part of the door in the place he just smeared the glue to and puts the tape around the frame, using some inhuman strength to make sure it'll look like new.

"You don't have to do that." Spencer says feeling guilty.

"Isn't this why you called me over yesterday before ditching me for Wren?" He asks.

"I didn't ditch you... OK maybe I did, I'm sorry. Wren came over drunk and I had to drive him home." Spencer says.

"And yes, I was hoping you can fix the door so my parents will get even madder at him or me." Spencer says.

"Did you tell them about your essay yet?" Scott asks, finishing putting a few strips of duct tape over the break.

"No." Spencer tells him.

"Let the tape on for as long as possible. Wood glue is strong but dries slowly." Scott says, putting down the two items and gets back to his feet.

"Do you want to join us for coffee?" Emily asks, hearing the others waking up in the living room.

"Nah. I better get out of your hair. Or do you want me to wipe off the lipstick from the mirror?" Scott offers.

"If you don't mind doing it." Spencer says with a smile, while Emily looks at her disappointed, almost angrily.

"Nah, it shouldn't be too hard." Scott says and steps inside the house, grabbing some cleaning utensils from a cabinet and heads upstairs, just as Hanna and Aria arrive in the kitchen area, seeing him go upstairs.

"Where is he going?" Hanna asks, sitting down at the counter with Aria, Spencer and Emily standing on the other side.

"He's wiping off the message." Spencer tells them.

"Are you sure he's not just getting rid of evidence he left behind?" Hanna asks.

"Stop it already Hanna." Emily says angrily before handing out cups with coffee.

Aria then get a text 'close your drapes and dig through dirt A.' The text reads and has a photo attaches where the four of them and Scott are looking at the mirror yesterday.

"What does he mean dig through the dirt?" Hanna asks.

Spencer wordlessly goes to the broken pot and dirt displayed on the other half of the counter table and digs through it, quickly finding the lipstick the message was written in. "Isn't that Ali's shade?" Hanna asks.

"Yes." Emily says.

"Just what does A want from us?" Spencer asks annoyed.

"Does it matter? I would rather like to know who it is." Aria says, looking back to the stairs Scott just took.

"Seriously Aria. He is literally in the picture. How could he have taken it?" Spencer says, snipping her fingers in front of her face.

"If he is working with Toby it wouldn't be hard." Hanna says.

"Stop it both of you. Scott has done nothing to make any of us think he's A. If we go by who knows stuff about us, then all of our families would be suspects." Emily says.

"Maybe they are." Hanna counters.

"Let's stop talking about this. It doesn't get us anywhere." Spencer tells them and they fall into a silence again with all of them drinking their coffee, lost in thought.

"Good as new." Scott says, walking down the stairs and puts back the cleaning utensils.

"Hi." Aria greets him insecurely.

"Hi, you don't have to act careful around me. It's no secret you don't trust me at the moment." Scott tells them when the four girls all stare at him.

"See you at school I guess." Scott then says after being met with guilty silence and he leaves, taking the glue back to the former shed.

"What is he doing at your sister's place?" Hanna asks, seeing Scott enter the building.

"Returning the glue." Emily says, ashamed for her friend's suspicions.
