Claws and teeth flashed in the moonlight. A huge paw slapped a cat aside. "Moonflower!" Honeypaw yowled. "You'll pay for that!" He rushed at the attacker, sinking his claws in its fur. The bager roared in pain and through him of. Grimacing Honeypaw staggered to his feet. He charged right at it again, swiping at it with his claws. Blood welled fom the wound and he slashed at it with his claws. At that moment the badger reared, causing him to fall over.
He fell to the ground, the wind knocked out of him. After a few moments he struggled to his feet. The badger clawed at him again. Honeypaw let out a shreak of pain as it slapped him aside. His ribs ached and the reeds trembled, blurring. Honeypaw could just make out Moonflower, lying in a puddle of her own blood.
