Warning: Yaoi: but then why else would you be here, right?
I don't own Naruto, or Sasuke… pity.
Wow, this took a long time, mostly I have no excuse… I got a little depressed? Maybe
I borrowed a scene from the movie Ghost (and some concepts from basically every poltergeist/haunting movie ever made) and then put my own spin on it, but who doesn't right? So I don't own any of them either.
Thank you all my reviewers, you are my inspiration

Helping People
It's So Much Harder When They're Cranky
After they both reached the top, they lay together sated and silent, soaking in each other's presence. Naruto stroked Sasuke's sweaty back and knew that this was love, one that would last for all eternity; only briefly separated by death and earthly existence.
Chapter 10
The quiet suburban street in an ordinary small city in Connecticut, intermittently lined on either side with medium-sized unremarkable trees, was not the type of place one expected to find someone like Itachi Uchiha. As an agent of the FBI for the last decade, it seemed more likely that he would choose to live in the center of a bustling urban center like New York City, but it still boggled Naruto's Texan mind how close to each other all of New England was so maybe Itachi felt connected to everything from here.
As Naruto approached the column adorned porch of the buttercream yellow colonial style home with its white trim with a measured pace, a trepidatious Sasuke trailed behind him, his eyes scrutinizing any alternate escape route and means of approach. He was still jumpy from the trauma of meeting his tormenter and murderer Orochimaru and didn't relish the thought of more reunions today, he had wanted to spend the day in their hotel room but Naruto had refused to do so; saying the sooner they went to Itachi, the sooner the blackmailing bastard was in prison. Sasuke wanted the son of a bitch caught just as much as Naruto, but he also knew that the sooner they caught him the sooner Sasuke himself would disappear.
The ornate heavy wooden door painted white with two parallel etched glass panels stretching its entirety opened promptly at the detective's knock to reveal an unexpected young-looking longhaired blonde man, with one side of his face completely hidden by the platinum strands.
"Can I help you?"
Naruto, having expected to be greeted by someone who looked a bit more like Sasuke, asked, "Is Itachi Uchiha here? I need to talk to him."
"Sure, come in."
The blonde man led them into a small foyer at the base of an elegantly curving staircase complete with polished mahogany banister and niche halfway up on the wall for a candle. The plank of each step was the same mahogany while the backs in between each panel was the same warm buttercream from the exterior.
"What did you need to see Itachi in regards to?" The question was curious not confrontational but Naruto found himself completely at a loss for what to say.
"Uh, it's a little hard to explain…"
"Why don't you try? Maybe you should start with how you came to possess that small blue stone you're wearing." A commanding baritone carried down the stairs followed by an authoritative presence. The charismatic man, of only about average height, lean body encased in a well-tailored suit, with his long black hair pulled back into a low ponytail; commanded the attention of the entire room like a queen on her dais.
"Right, um… my godmother gave it to me…" Naruto trailed off, not sure how to continue.
"Really," The sarcastic disbelief in Itachi's monotone was grating on Naruto's nerves.
"But, I'm sure what you really want to talk about is Sasuke."
"What could You possibly know about Sasuke?" Itachi finished walking down his spiral staircase and looked down his nose at Naruto as if his very existence was somehow abhorrent to the agent.
"Whoa, dude," Naruto held up his hands in an affronted manner, "I don't even know you, there's no need to be a dick."
"Exactly, you don't know me. Yet you come to my home and expect me to discuss my brother with you?"
All this time Sasuke was standing behind Naruto still and silent, Naruto looked at the spirit, hoping for some insight on how to proceed. After all if Sasuke didn't know how to deal with his brother when he was being a pain in the ass who did? But staring at his brother, completely engrossed, Sasuke was no help at all.
"Look, this is going badly, so I'll get straight to the point. I see dead people." Naruto finished flatly, figuring the easiest way to get his point across was with one of the most recognizable movie quotes of all time… making his point but he still secretly hated M. Night Shyamalan at the same time.
Are you serious? Itachi's look clearly said as he seemed to be at a loss for actual words
"Yeah, I've seen your brother, Sasuke, for a long time now and he helped me find his killer… but we need your help to bring them to justice." Naruto knew he was babbling and the skeptical look on Itachi's face had yet to fade, Sasuke was still being useless, the detective was feeling very stressed and he briefly lost it, "Sasuke! Snap out of it dammit and say something!"
Itachi glared at him but Naruto barely noticed as Sasuke started… flickering.
It was like a stop motion camera, with every frame starring a different Sasuke in various outfits as his memories assimilated themselves into his conscious mind. He seemed to start as a little kid and then grew seemingly in fast forward through the years until his death. He grew pale and opaque as he sank to the floor of the house panting, clearly in distress.
"Sasuke!" Naruto darted to his side, putting his arms around the almost completely transparent ghost, choking on a sob as they passed right through the misty body. "What's going on?" Naruto cried, not really expecting an answer, "Baby, please, you can't leave me now…"
A determined look grew on the spirit's face as he solidified in Naruto's grip, unable to quell the relieved sigh that escaped him, the detective's face reddened as he clutched his love close to him, resting his forehead on the apparition's and breathing in his scent.
"It's okay, I'm alright," Sasuke grit his teeth and resolutely pushed Naruto away, the detective backed up a couple steps, still looking on in concern, completely ignoring everyone except Sasuke as the ghost stood, brushing imaginary dirt off his jacket, "do you still have the change left over from the vending machine?" he asked.
"Yeah," Naruto replied, reaching into his pocket and proffering a quarter, "why?"
Sasuke didn't answer as he bit his lip and grasped the quarter in his own hand, forehead furrowing in concentration, he advanced toward his brother at a sedate pace.
"Hold out your hand," the command issued from Sasuke's and Naruto's lips at almost the exact moment as Itachi extended his hand to accept the coin.
"It's for luck," the spirit asserted and smiled softly.
"He says it's for luck," Naruto repeated.
A single tear trailed its way down the stoic man's face.
"Tachi?" Itachi's boyfriend's voice volume diminished, his concern evident, he lightly traced the FBI agent's back comfortingly.
"My little brother used to do that… when he was little… he would give me any change he found and tell me it's for luck. He's really dead, isn't he?" It seemed he was asking himself this question, gazing at the quarter in his hand, entranced. He looked up, "You can see him?"
Naruto nodded in answer.
"We need to find his body, he says it's in his headmaster's basement, in the crawl space," Naruto shuddered, "That guy is one creepy mother fucker."
"Orochimaru?" Itachi's hands clenched into fists, "I knew that damn bastard had something to do with Sasuke's disappearance, but I could never find any evidence. Are you sure the body's still there?"
Sasuke shrugged, "All I know is that he put it there, he has no real reason to move it."
Naruto smiled, "Pretty sure."
Itachi smirked rather evilly, "Let's go arrest his ass… or better yet, let's go shoot him in the face."
"Itachi," His boyfriend admonished, good-naturedly, "Hi, I never introduced myself, I'm Deidara" he proffered his hand to Naruto.
"Naruto Uzumaki," he gestured over his shoulder to Sasuke that no one else could see, "and this is Sasuke."
"A pleasure."

Author's notes
Hope it's not too terrible, didn't proof read it numerous times so if anyone finds any mistakes please let me know.
Didn't update as quickly as I planned, sorry everyone. There's so much to do at college, struggled with depression for a while and my time just got away from me. Sooo close to being done! Hang in there, it's almost finished! Probably one more chapter… Maybe two.
Deidara didn't do much except offer his emotional support, I just thought Itachi shouldn't be alone. I totally based their house on the one my parents had when I was a little kid, that curvy staircase was awesome, and it's even the same color, the one my mom had to mix herself since no one did it to her exact specifications.
You can so tell what I ship if you compare all my stories, maybe I should change that? Next time I'll just throw in a random ship like Karen/Suigetsu or Gamabunta/Susanoo just to mess with people. ( I do love to mess with people )
