A/N: Okay, maybe I was a little too rough with Zeke in the last Chapter. Now that we've got his proper origin story, I can understand him a little more. Overall, Zeke is still an interesting character. However... where is our new Pieck screen time?

I'd like to apologize for the length of this Chapter. It's short, I know. But don't worry. When we get to the actual S.O.G Chapter, I'll make sure it's more drawn out and something that might actually take time to read through.

Chapter 5: Welcome to the S.O.G

Woods took a quick swig of his whiskey. "And then this asshole decides to save the rest of us." He said while pointing at Mason. Mason, who was somewhat surprised Woods still remembered that once if a lifetime moment despite everything that occurred since, chuckled in response. "He throws himself out of the plane and makes his way towards one of those ZPUs. He takes out all of the vehicles blocking the runway, and next thing I know we're the only ones in the air."

''That was a while ago." Mason reminded him. "Besides, I'm out of Vorkuta now." He looked to Pieck and Bertholdt. "Which even on its own is a separate story." Pieck looked fascinated and intrigued while Bertholdt didn't show any real emotion. He was only sitting there at Zeke's command.

Pieck looked to Mason and compared him to herself. "Don't worry, I know what it's like to risk everything and take command of your team." Bertholdt's finally showed some sort of a reaction when his eyes widened. He looked to Pieck, interested to know where she was getting at. "While Bertholdt and the others were completely surrounded, I was the only one still in my Titan form. After saving War Chief Zeke from the Scouts, I found Bertholdt and Reiner. Let's just say they would've died without me."

Bertholdt looked annoyed. "You saved us, yeah." He admitted, his arms now crossed. "Doesn't mean you took any kind of command over us." Mason, who knew there was a good chance an argument was about to erupt, took his own share of the whiskey.

"What?! Yes I did." Pieck said, staring into Bertholdt's eyes with a sharp look. "Zeke was injured and so was Reiner." Shiganshina was Pieck's greatest achievement when it came to showing the Cart Titan's abilities. "And you, well, you weren't exactly trying to fight the Scouts."

Looking over to his side, Bertholdt noticed that Woods and Mason were now chuckling in unison. "I was protecting Reiner from them, you saw that." Eager to leave, Bertholdt stood out of his seat. "Where's Zeke and Reiner?" He asked. "They left a while ago to speak with Hudson."

Woods assured him they were fine. "Relax." He said after a few more swigs. "They're probably just-" Woods quickly scooted over as Pieck tried to snatch his whiskey. "Hey!" He said in an aggravated tone. "This is mine, ask Mason for some if you're so thirsty."

Mason quickly stashed his whiskey under the table. "Aw, come on." Pieck said, annoyed over the lack of sharing. "I'm thirsty. Haven't had anything to drink since we left Russia. Before that even." Even with the sad look across Pieck's face, she never got a sip of whiskey.

Zeke and Reiner finally returned to the rest of the Warriors, stressed looks across their faces. Following them closely was a figure who had introduced himself earlier as Hudson, who looked a little more suspicious than Pieck and Bertholdt were comfortable with.

He looked over to Zeke. "You wanna tell them, or would you like me to?" The question with a lack of context, at least for Pieck and Bertholdt, clearly aggravated Zeke and Reiner, the two of them clenching their fists. Bertholdt prepared himself for the eruption of a fight while Pieck chose to observe.

After sighing, Zeke spoke up. "This group calling themselves the CIA has taken quite the interest in us." He explained to the other two Warriors, adjusting his glasses as the last word left his mouth. "Hudson, as well as the rest of the CIA would like us to... voluntary assist their Military from this point on. Specifically, Pieck and Reiner will join the S.O.G in Vietnam, while Bertholdt and I go with Hudson."

Their eyes widening, Pieck and Bertholdt jumped out of their seats. Mason and Woods quickly grabbed their weapons. "No way." Bertholdt shouted. "We haven't even seen all of this place yet. But you still think we'll fight for you? Because you'll need a good reason to convince us to do that."

Hudson removed his own pair of glasses and placed them on the table. He then took a seat on the table next to Woods and Mason. Staring Bertholdt straight "Well for one..." He paused for a second. "Does the name Annie Leonhart mean anything to you?"
