Ch. 08 Uniting Kingdoms

They entered the manor, King talked to the familiars and told them they were going to leave,

Sebastian smiled "It was nice meeting you, safe travels.. But before you go please give the keys to Miss Abelia"

Diane confused she asked "Cant we just leave with you, Sebastian?"

He smiled "Of course but..."

Alexandria interrupted "But... If you do we will be in trouble, so please leave them with Miss Abelia, she is now our new master now that Lord Lupin is gone"

King responded "Alright, anyways thank you for everything"

Everyone waved their goodbyes.

"Let's get going, King."

Diane said as she smiled

"Oh but first... Let's leave the key with Miss Abelia"

King replied "Right.."

They went to the beautiful flower shop where the strawberry blonde haired fairy resided. They opened the door and they were welcomed by an amazing flowery pleasant sent. Diane was looking around

"Miss Abelia, Sir Lupin wanted us to leave you this, Miss Abelia where are you?"

Abelia finally heard the giantess, startled she replied "Oh Diane I am sorry, I was caught arranging this bouquet for one of the local nobles of this town. You said Lupin left me with something? Couldn't he come himself...Geez that guy... Always making others do his work, he truly is a rich noble snobby man." she scuffed as she continued working on the bouquet of lilies

"Abelia..." King replied "Lupin went with Captain Meliodas to the demon kingdom, he left his Manor and his familiars to you so he gave us the keys and a chest, he told us you knew what that chest had, he said he wants you to go live in the manor"

Shocked Abelia snapped a lily in half "What?!" "Excuse me? Come again? No way... How dare he, he is always leaving his mess behind and of course he expects me to clean it up for him...But...I do owe him my life and he has shown me nothing but kindness, I really can't leave his familiars to fend for their own...Alright" She took the keys and the chest away from king, she smiled when she noticed that King had the Amulet "I guess it's finally back to it's rightful owner, thank you Diane and your Majesty, Hope you have safe travels, here" She handed them a basket of fruits and sandwiches "It's a long road from here to the Fairy King Forest so I figured you could a little pick me up as you go"

Diane smiled "Thank you so much Miss Abelia, please take care and if you ever have the time...Please come visit us in the Fairy King Forest"

Both Diane and King left the shop and continued on their way towards the towns entrance, then towards the forest. King activated the amulet and it started beaming a pink light towards the north, showing them the way back to the Fairy King Forest.

"Yay we are finally home, omg I just want to take a bath and then lay in bed" Diane said, she was ecstatic that they finally found their way home. "King... do you think it's too early to start planning our wedding?"

King blushed and smiled "No...Of course not whatever you want my sweet Diane. I will do whatever you want"

Diane became a bit annoyed at his reply "Come on silly it's your wedding too! You can't have me deciding everything for us"

King smiled "Isn't that what brides do? they decide on everything, I think that is the case with most human weddings"

Diane huffed "Well... I would like you to participate..."

They were interrupted by Lady Gerheade

"Welcome back your highness and Lady Diane or should I say Queen Diane"

Embarrassed Diane replied "Lady Gerheade please just call me Diane, I am still no queen, I still have to gain the approval of the giants"

with a reassuring smile Gerheade replied

"Well...Many already moved here as soon as they heard that Lady Matrona was here, we welcome them as well. Lady Matrona definitely approves of you as being their Queen she told me she knew of your potential since young she knew that you will one day be Queen and turns out she was right...My brother once along with King Drole ruled with forest and both the fairies and the giants lived peacefully until...That horrible war...I am sure wherever he and king Drole are are, they will be proud of you both. Rest asure Diane, you will be a great Queen along with his majesty King Harlequin"

Diane with tears of joy in her eyes replied to the small fairy "Thank you so much for your kind words Lady Gerheade, It really gives me hope and courage for the future. I will do my best for both the fairies and the giants. Kin...I mean Harlequin and I will do our best to make sure everyone is happy"

Gerheade smiled "Alright I'll let you both rest, tomorrow you have a big day ahead of you, you will speak to both clans as King and Queen, so best get some rest" she then bowed and left the room.

Diane agreed "She is right Harlequin" she then proceeded to kiss him on the forehead "We can talk about the wedding later, after all this is done, we still have a duty to our people and we must keep the peace between both clans"

Harlequin thought to himself ("who could have thought this was the same Diane, that once frail shy girl who really felt lost. I can't believe this Diane...My Diane is now a responsible young woman trying her best to lead. I am so proud of her she is such a wonderful woman...I love her so much. I will always try my best to do right by her, she has given me so much I will always be grateful for the day that she entered my life. I promise to always protect you my sweet and beautiful Diane")

"Harlequin...Harlequin...HEY! I am talking to you..."

He snapped out of his thoughts "I am so sorry Diane, I dozed off. There is so much in my mind right now..."

Diane smiled and gave him a kiss "Yeah, it really must be hard for you as well...For both of us... But lets do our best!"

King nodded "Yes...let's" he proceeded to grab her hand "But for now...let's enjoy this night together" he proceeded to use his fairy magic to close the door with vines, so no one will interrupt them.

Diane blushed and smiled as she let go of his hand, she embraced Harlequin as she started kissing him, she pressed her lips against his in a very passionate way. Their fiery passion lasted through the night.
