Ch. 11 New Beginnings
As the day went by it started to get dark and the crowd that was in the party was starting to get smaller, leaving only Harlequin, Diane, Gerheade , Matrona, Tusk and Aesculus.
"I guess it's time to get going Aesculus, we must be on our way..." Said the warrior giant
"The party was really fun wasn't it? but I guess you are right" Smiled the blonde fairy as he gave his lover a peck
Interrupting the couple Harlequin said "Didn't you say you guys were going to stay here with us"
"Oh? You really want us to stay with you both? after everything that happened?" Said a curious and yet shocked Aesculus
"Yes" Diane replied "You both had a mission and despite of everything you saw through it... Your heart was clouded with darkness, but you continued to fulfill your duty and we need people like that by our side"
Tusk started laughing "You really remind me of Drole, powerful and yet kind. We did promise we will serve under you if we lost... A deal is a deal"
Aesculus smiled "RIGHT! Let's go then"
Everyone in unison said "YEAH!" as they went on their way to the Sacred Tree

"Today is finally the day..." Said the orange hair fairy, he then giggled "I can't believe it I am finally marrying her... I am finally marrying Diane, never in my wildest dreams I thought this day would come"
"Your majesty!" Said Aesculus in a cheerful tone "Everyone is already there! they are waiting for you!"
Surprised Harlequin responded "Even Diane?"
Aesculus chuckled at Harlequins question "Of course not! She is the bride after all Mr. Fairy King! You need to be there before she arrives... Who knows someone else might take her from you"
Harlequin annoyed by the blonde fairy's comment "Alright! alright! Let's go!"
The went towards the Central plaza, it was decorated with many white flowers of all kinds from lilies to roses. The place looked lovely and lively.
"Wow! Abelia did her best the plaza looks amazing!" Said Harlequin in awe
Abelia finishing some small details at the plaza overheard his comment and proudly said "Of course silly! What kind of florist would I be if I can't decorate well. Also I couldn't ruin this for Diane, what kind of friend would I be"

Both Abelia and Diane grew closer these last months, they sent letters and they visited each other from time to time. Diane and Harlequin even made a small residence for her in the fairy king forest whenever she came to visit.

Harlequin smiled "Of course! Thank you so much for doing this for us! I am sure Diane is going to love this!"
Abelia beaming with joy "I really hope so! This is should be the best day of her life and I am going to make sure of it. You better not disappoint her your majesty... Or you will regret it"
The redheaded fairy became a bit startled by her last comment "No! never of course not! I love Diane and all I want to do is make her happy. I promised her that I was going to do my best to make her happy"
Abelia smiled "You better, anyways get going! She is probably on her way. Wouldn't want to arrive after she does!"
"RIGHT!" Said Harlequin as he started running towards the center of the plaza where the ceremony was going to take place.
He noticed that Diane hasn't arrived yet, he sighed with relief "She is still not here, I am so glad!"
He then noticed everyone started cheering and getting up... Aesculus who was next to Harlequin smiled and teased him "Looks like our queen has arrived"
The giantess (reduced in size) arrived, she was wearing a beautiful princess style white dress with tulle sleeves, the sleeves had beautiful tiny stones, the accents of the dress itself were beautiful white beads and some Swarovski crystals that helped accentuate her figure. Her long brown hair was down with half up French braid with a bridal veil in the middle.
Harlequin was in awe of how beautiful she looked he said to himself ("Am I even worthy to be with such a beautiful woman? my Diane... This is a dream come true") tears started forming in his eyes ("I am so happy")
Diane felt fulfilled, she felt as if she was on cloud nine, she said to herself ("This is the happiest day of my life") she then noticed Harlequin how handsome he looked, she couldn't help but blush as she saw him. She kept walking with Matrona on her side.

Matrona was basically a mother and father to Diane so she wanted to be the one that walked Diane to the wedding arch that was in the middle of the plaza.

Ban and a very pregnant Elaine were also present they were sitting next to where Harlequin was standing. The small blonde fairy had both rings inside a silver box. Harlequin was very nervous as he saw Diane walking down the path. She finally arrived, he couldn't help but to smile at his gorgeous bride.
"Ahem!" Said the officiator who was none other than Captain Meliodas himself "Are we ready to start everyone?"
Ban thought to himself "It's so nice of the captain to make it to King's wedding, hmph! he didn't make it to mine but I'll forgive him... I guess I will just ask him for a fight, to make it up to me" he chuckled to himself.
Elaine Noticed he was chuckling "What are you laughing about, Ban?"
Ban gave her the silliest smile "Oh nothing.."
Elaine raised an eyebrow "right, well keep it down my brother and Diane are getting married, let's not ruin this for them"
Ban scoffed as he rolled his eyes "ehh right!"
Meliodas noticing the little bickering both lovers had and couldn't help but to smile. He then proceeded to continue with the ceremony "Ahem! We are gathered here today to witness the celebration of the wedding of Diane queen of the giant clan and Harlequin king of the fairy kingdom. You have come here to witness and to share in this formal commitment they make to one another, to offer your love and support to this union, and to allow both Diane and Harlequin to start their married life together surrounded by the people dearest and most important to them."
He clears his throat as he continues "But before I go on, I want to say a few words to both of them, Diane I am so proud of you. You are an amazing person and you have shown strength and perseverance. You have proved yourself that you are worthy, as your captain I am proud of you and your accomplishments. As for you Harlequin, you have shown growth and you are finally able to show how you really feel and for that I am proud of you as well. May both of you have a wonderful life together, may this be a new beginning of new adventures... Anyways..." he smiled "Let's continue... Liz and Abelia please put the white rose chain on the bride and groom"
a pregnant Elizabeth smiled "Of course!"
Both her and Abelia wrapped the beautiful white rose chain that the strawberry blonde fairy made herself, around Harlequin and Diane.
Meliodas continued "May this chain be a symbol of your everlasting and unconditional love" he took a pause to sigh and then continued
"Elaine, please bring the rings"
Elaine beaming with joy "Right away!"
She got up and put the silver box in the middle of Diane and Harlequin
Meliodas then continued "Harlequin" then pointing his vision to the bride "Diane"
"You will now exchange rings as a symbol of love and commitment to each other. These rings mark the beginning of your long journey together. Your wedding ring is like an Ouroboros, a symbol that is never ending. That's how the love between the two of you should be, never ending. It is the seal of the vows you have just taken to love each other until death does you apart. Now then... With this ring, will you Harlequin take this woman as your wedded wife, do you promise to honor, cherish, protect, stay with her through sickness and health till death tears you apart?
Harlequin with tears of joy in his eyes, answered "Yes, I do. With this ring, I Harlequin take you Diane as my wedded wife. I promise to honor, cherish, protect and stay with you through sickness and health till death do us apart." He then proceeds to put the wedding ring on Diane
She couldn't help but to smile and cry as she heard those words escape her beloved's mouth. She right away fixed her composure as Meliodas continued with the ceremony.
"AHEM... Do you" Meliodas focusing his vision on the giantess "Diane, take this man as your wedded husband? do you promise to honor, cherish, protect, stay with him through sickness and health till death tears you apart?
Diane ecstatic she replies " Yes, I do. With this ring, I Diane take you Harlequin as my wedded husband. I promise to honor, cherish, protect and stay with you through sickness and health till death do us apart." She proceeded to put the ring on Harlequin.
Meliodas continued "Now then... Before I declare these two married, is there someone in the audience that objects to this union" He paused and then resumed "No then? Well if there are no objections. I captain Meliodas leader of the seven deadly sins and current king of the demon clan. I now declare you both Harlequin and Diane, married. Harlequin, you may kiss the bride."
Harlequin took Diane by the hips and kissed her in the most tender yet passionate way. Everyone started cheering, clapping and throwing white rose petals.
Meliodas smiled "ALRIGHT EVERYONE LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED! LET'S CELEBRATE THIS BEAUTIFUL MARRIAGE"
Everyone replied "yeah!"

Diane and Harlequin were on the balcony in the sacred tree manor that sat on top of the tree itself.
"Everything was amazing!" Said the giantess as she was beaming with happiness, she then proceeded to wrap her arms around her beloved "Oh, Harlequin... This was the best day of my life" she then proceeded to give him a small peck on the lips
He smiled and replied "Mine too Diane, believe me... You are one of the reasons why I am alive right now. I am so happy... So immensely happy to be your husband"
With tears in her eyes Diane proceeded to hug him as tight as she could while she kissed him, she then paused for a moment "Promise me... Promise me that we will stay together..."
Jubilant, he replied "I promise" he then continued kissing her
she then interrupted the kissing to ask "Always and forever?"
which he found endearing, he replied "Yes my love, Always and forever"

I always wanted to write a story but I always got discouraged because I tend to leave things unfinished and inside a word file, but finally I finished!
