Breaking Bad

Chapter 1

He hasn't dreamed in weeks, perhaps it's been a month at least. He lost all track of time. Bad remembers very little about how it all happened, but there have been moments where he has woken up during the surgery. Instantly, they would put him back out, but at the same time, he saw them take things out of his body. The last memory he had waking up on the operating table… was his own heart.

His heart was held in the hands of Destro who insisted to his counterpart Erimin that it was no longer needed. Everything became a rather nauseous blur in his mind. After seeing his own heart removed from his body, the rest of his dreams have been the sights he sees from the tube he was placed into. Unable to resist the modifications they made him endure, at the same time, he felt like giving up. Whenever his vitals went down, Destro would approach the tank. "He doesn't appear to be putting up a fight, let alone accepting the changes we made for him… Perhaps it's time we see what his sister can endure. No doubt she is hero material herself, isn't she?" he asked aloud.

Zenko.

His only saving grace and will to live rested in her. Bad wouldn't dare leave her like this, how could he? Not to mention, he has seen them try and convince her to come to the Neo Heroes herself, claiming Bad was in rough shape and needed her support and comfort.

Despite the sob story they put together, he was proud that Zenko wasn't foolish enough to believe them. He never saw her come, at the same time, the Neo heroes refused to give up until they obtained her for themselves. "Keep trying, the moment we have her, the more modifications we can make to Bad!" Erimin stated.

He refused to allow them to have her. They will never have Zenko!

At the same time, he also caught wind that Garou's family was alive. It would have made him smile if he could. His lower jaw was removed and has since been sealed shut, melded to his upper jaw so no words could be uttered out of him. 'She has Pac, Pac will protect her at all costs… I know he will' he thought.

He was about to rest until he heard. "Oh… Knuckle Brawler… what a pleasant surprise…"

'Knuckle?' he thought.

"Of course you can come and see us, we would be MORE than happy to have you here!"

'Knuckle? Knuckle is trying to come back? No… he can't!' Bad thought.

His tank was since dimmed as Destro and Erimin left to greet the Brawler themselves.

He didn't know what was happening, let alone why Knuckle would come back to this place. But when he heard the doors open, Bad felt his life support system start to malfunction.

"You see, you could be a great benefit to us Knuckle Brawler, you are one of the most perfect cyborgs…"

His mind spaced out shortly after.

When Bad awoke again, he was being peered down upon by friends. "Bad? BAD!" shouted Alley. "Oh God, Bad…"

She connected to him telepathically. All he could do was scream. The scream he wanted to unleash the moment he was put into this but was unable to. He felt terrible that his thoughts erupted out of Alley! When she settled down again, Knuckle had approached him and gently touched his throat. He felt something form at the base of his neck, then he began to hear his own voice come out. "Oh God, tell me this is a dream, please…"

His voice returned, and yet at the same time, it made it all the more clear to Bad, this was no dream.

Since then, he has tried to endure what has happened to him. Alley has gone over notions on how to correct this, there was even the idea of turning him completely like Street and Knuckle, but he refused it. "I don't want to be no tin man! No offence…"

"None taken short stack," Knuckle said with a smirk. "Still, what can be done for him Alley?"

She was at a loss on the whole thing. "They have altered him so much that there isn't going back to say the least, I have to come up with something so I can make sure Bad is happy. But, it will take some time." She said.

Bad felt utterly defeated.

There isn't going back is there? He will forever be trapped in a cyborg body…

It was no more than a day later when Alley asked of him. "Is it okay if Zenko sees you?"

He fought the notion of allowing his little sister to see him in such a state. However, he nodded. As much as he didn't want to, he desperately needed to see her.

When she appeared, and their eyes met, she was startled at first, but then, the tears flowed. "They are going to pay for this big brother! They are going to pay!" she wept.

Normally, he would be right there with her, crying his eyes out because she was. But he felt nothing.

He couldn't even feel any tears well up in his eyes.
