Chapter 4
"One more week, just one more…" Alley insisted to Bad. "I promise you, one more week,"
He's been on a downward tread as of late, his emotions are completely gone, there was nothing to him anymore. All Bad did was sit in his room in silence now a days. He doesn't even ask about Zenko anymore. "Alley… what's the point?" he asked in a depressing tone.
"What's the point? The point is everything!" she protested. "Bad, listen to me, we are going to get you better, you're going to be human and you are going to kick the asses of those bastards that did this to you!"
But there was no drive behind his eyes, it was as if he lost the will to live. "Why bother going on…" he muttered. "What if this was a way to be done with it all?"
Alley froze to his words. "Bad, you are not considering…"
"I don't have anything worth living for. Zenko doesn't even visit me…" he paused. "My own sister is ashamed of what I have become. So much so, she doesn't bother to see her own brother."
There was no choice, 'Sorry Pac' she thought to herself. "There's a reason why that is, she hasn't left Pac since she can't… Zenko is pregnant."
For the first time in two weeks, there was a glimmer in his eyes. Whether or not it was a killing intent glimmer, but one none the less! He turned and looked her dead in the eye. "You're lying," he said flat out.
"I wouldn't lie, and I didn't want to tell you out of personal fear you would beat the snot out of my brother." She stated. "Zenko is pregnant, my grandfather of all people told him…"
"Is… is she really pregnant?" he asked.
"Yes, please don't beat Pac up over it. He wanted to wait but she…"
"It's okay," Bad said and lowered his head. "It's okay…"
She could feel it in him, he wanted to cry, tears of joy or anger she didn't know for sure, but she could feel he wanted to emote something! "Please Bad, just a little longer…" she asked of him.
He sighed aloud and nodded his head. "If you need anything…"
"I know," he said meekly.
With that, she left him alone.
Alley sighed aloud as she went around the Association to see if there was anything else new. With Electra Max as the new president of the super continent, things have been a little calmer. She has put forward a motion to classify her family as S Class heroes and with military honors for their hard work, but of course people are protesting that to say the least.
It didn't matter to her, as long as no one was hunting the family.
Speaking of family.
Snek happened to find himself looking after four little serpents that snuck aboard Boros's ship! "I thought I told you four to stay close and tell me if you are going anywhere! This isn't your home planet anymore!" he scolded.
"We just wanted to explore!"
"Yeah, that's all!"
Snek sighed. "Boon, Bam, enough!"
"Boon and Bam?" she asked.
Snek peered over to her and pointed to the four. "Guess who they look like!" he stated.
Alley only just heard about the curious four, but didn't get to see them in person. But peering down she snickered. Boon and Bam were her uncle's kids! Crypt was Zombieman's and the shies out of the four was named Cooper but looked just like Bad!
"So, you are the four that snuck on the ship huh? Why?" she asked curiously.
They shied away until Cooper said. "Too many brothers and sisters…"
She paused to his tone as the other three nodded. "Lots of brothers and sisters… we felt left out, they wouldn't miss us if we disappeared." Said Boon.
"I don't know about that…" Alley said offhandedly. She picked the four up and brought them to the communication room. There she found Boros speaking with some of the serpents from Medusa on the matter.
"Are they okay?"
"They are, I assure you, well fed and are being tended to by another here on Earth…"
She came in with the four in arms. She paused as she saw another Snek on the screen, but his hair was long and rather untamed except for a single braid in his hair. When he saw the four he hissed. "You four scared your parents! They have been searching everywhere for you!"
"No they wouldn't… there's too many of us…" muttered Bam.
"Is that my offspring?!"
The Snek clone was shoved out of the way, as four worried parents swarmed the screen. "Bam!?"
"Papa…"
"Boon?"
"Dad?"
"Crypt, where did you go!"
"Cooper, what the hell were you thinking!"
Alley couldn't believe her eyes as she looked at the four perfect clones of her uncles, Bad and Zombieman, yet as serpents! It was strange though as she noticed the males all had long hair and various braids within them. They lectured their children to no end as they shied away from it all. When they got it out of their system, the Zombieman clone sighed. "Lord Boros… When can they come home?" he asked.
"I don't wanna!" protested Crypt. "I wanna stay here!"
"Why?"
"Papa… there's too many of us… I get pushed around and no one listens to me!"
He was taken aback by his son's tone as the other three nodded in agreement, they wanted to leave because they were left out. "If you like, they can stay here until they are ready to go home again. There's plenty for them to eat and we have a fellow serpent raising them. My brothers are the same as them too and will make sure they are kept safe and fed." She said gently.
The four fathers looked to each other, they were uncertain. "You are an unknown female to us," said the clone of Bad. "We aren't trusting of those we do not know,"
Boros however was quick to explain. "She's my mother," he said to them. "If she is capable of raising me, your children are in good hands."
Instantly their tune changed. "Lord Boros's mother wishes to tend to our children? Very well then, we have no reason to refuse her offer." Said the clone of her uncle Knuckle.
"We will take good care of them, I promise," she said with great sincerity.
Before they left, the kids were given one final scolding to and were told to listen to the adults when they are spoken to. When they vanished, Boon looked to her. "We can stay?" he asked.
"For the time being yes,"
"ALL RIGHT! LET'S GO EXPLORE!" Crypt cheered.
She set them down. "You can explore the Association, BUT, if you are going outside, someone needs to go with you. Understood?"
They nodded and slinked off.
Boros on the other hand snickered. "They aren't the first ones that tried to sneak aboard," he said with a grin. "They were the first to succeed!"
She sighed and nodded, but then she asked. "Boros, why do the males all have long hair and different braids in them? I saw the Zombieman one who had them all over the place!" she asked.
He smiled to the question. "The braids in a male's hair indicates the females they tend to, the Zombieman one you speak of, is one of their top males, to my knowledge, he has at least twenty females he tends to, and each one puts a braid in his hair to indicate he is theirs." He explained.
She froze, after all, that one nearly had his whole head braided!
