Chapter 40
Forgiveness (Part 3) - tooth
Rating for this chapter: k
Jack knew something was up with tooth as soon as he walked into the palace. Everything was chaos. Fairies were fling into each other some teeth were on the gourd. Something was very wrong.
Jack flew up to tooth's room, where he found her crying. It was heartbreaking, to say the least.
Jack flew in silently and sat on the bed. Tooth looked at him, then looked away.
Toothy, please tell me what's wrong, the others and I are really worried.
Tooth stayed silent, she sniffled and tried to compose her self.
Jack waited patiently for her to talk.
"It's just that… I just… feel so bad… I did something I shouldn't have and…"
Jack looked a little surprised but still remained silent.
"I-... I looked at your memories jack… and… I… how are you okay with knowing how much pain your family must have when through…"
Jack let out a small sigh.
"Tooth I might look like a child but I am over 300 years old. You learn a thing or two."
Tooth still looked like she was going to continue crying.
"But that's not all that's wrong, is it?"
She shook her head.
Jack let out a tired sigh. Guess he's also going to need a talk with sandy.
Jack hugged her from the back and laid his head on her shoulder.
"Tooth, is this also about the 300 years thing?"
She nodded. Jack chuckled.
"Looked, like I told north and bunny, I've already forgiven all of you. So how about you forgive yourself."
Tooth's breath hitched and she started to cry a bit more. But they ended a lot sooner than the last ones.
"Thank you jack." She sniffled.
"No need to thank me tooth."
She wiped her eyes. "You know. I wouldn't be surprised if you had been chosen as the guardian of forgiveness."
Jack laughed at that.
"Where the fun in that?"
That made tooth laugh.
After there laugher faded tooth yawn.
"Well, I think I'm going to nap now."
"Alright, I'll leave ya to it."
Jack stopped, looked over to tooth.
Jack smiled. "She's going to be so surprised." he thought as he left the room.
Jack made sure that everything was in order. He helped the baby teeth with picking up and organizing the teeth. He helped them clean and most of all he let the baby teeth have a break.
By the time jack got back to the palace, he was ready to face plant into the marble floor. The baby teeth rushed over to get the teeth that jack had collected. Others rushed out the door to continue work and the rest led jack to a guest room.
Where he properly collapsed on top of.
Tooth woke expecting to have a lot of cleaning to do, but to her surprise the place was spotless. She looked to her fairies.
"Did you all do this?"
They shrugged and continued there business.
Baby tooth then flew up to her and led her to the teeth room. Everything was clean and organized she was left agape.
"W-who, who did all this? How are you girls still standing?"
Baby tooth told her they had a short break.
"But how… how you…"
Baby tooth put her hand on her mother and led her up the stairs.
Where they found jack, sound asleep, drooling on the pillow, hair messier than normal, and outright exhausted.
"D-did he do all this?"
Baby tooth nodded.
Tooth smiled at that.
She went over and ran her fingers through his hair.
She then kissed his forehand and whispered.
"Thank you, Jack."
Hey guys so sorry I haven't posted. I'm planning on finishing this part-er I promise. I've just been a bit busier than I expected. I'm graduating in 4 months so… yeah I'm planning on finishing the story after I graduate so that I can focus on other things. I might come back to this in the future and write and change some stuff. Anyway thank you all for being so patient with me, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter, and thank you all for the support so far.
