Chapter 16

"What is with you?"

Melee paused as she stared at Garou oddly, it was like he was holding a secret but couldn't keep it, yet was forcing himself to.

"Papa!" shouted Aoki.

He smiled to his son's call. "You're old man just has me run ragged. He keeps pulling me off to the side, getting to know me time and time again. He wants every single detail as to how we met and had kids!" he protested.

Melee smirked. "Yeah that's dad alright, he likes to dissect people's history to make sure they are telling him the truth." She sighed aloud but then remembered something. "Do you recall Tatsumaki saying something about the kids? Well in particular Aoki?" she asked offhandedly.

"Yeah, she said something like I thought you were having normal kids for once or something." He paused. "Why?"

Melee smirked. "Well, I was speaking with Titan a few days ago about it, when he went to save the twins, he saw something strange. One was glowing when they tried to take blood from him."

Garou froze in confusion. "Glow?" he asked.

"He said Juro glowed oddly, and that glow spread to Aoki… was Tatsumaki trying to tell us they are physic?"

"Have they done anything since?" he asked curiously.

She paused to think about it. "Well, when I take them shopping I always find stuff in the cart that I never put in there…" she said offhandedly. "And any time someone walks into the room Aoki knows who it is right off the bat, they don't even say a word and he calls out to them!"

"How…" he muttered. "Seriously, how the hell did they become telepathic?!"

Melee sighed. "Maybe… it was from when I got hit by the car?" she said offhandedly. "Max took the brunt of the impact, but I was still hurt… could that have done something to the kids?"

He didn't know anymore, but two telepathic kids are going to be a handful. "Shit, does this mean we got to ask HER for help?" he muttered.

"It maybe easier now since she's dating my brother." Melee said but sighed aloud. "I was really looking forward to some normal kids… at least now they will still have something in common with their older siblings."

"I guess that's true," Garou then paused as his eyes caught the TV near by. There was no volume but he saw Tempest facing down Raiden in a city street!

#

BASH!

Tempest came out of nowhere, the monster threat that was called out no more than ten minutes ago has since been quelled, it's head smashed into the road, gore covered the streets, but at least the bastard won't be harming anyone anymore!

"WOW! DID YOU SEE THAT? YOKOZUNA TEMPEST GOT ANOTHER ONE!" one person shouted with excitement.

He smiled it off.

After all, he is no longer a sumo wrestler, he lost his title after they learned of his true appearance but it didn't bother him to say the least.

He was about to walk away from it all when he saw him.

Raiden stood before him, and was rather pissed off to say the least. "You… humiliated me!" he said with a sneer to his lip. "How DARE you!"

Tempest stood proudly, but smiled himself. "I could have beaten you that day, easily. But, I knew something like this would have happened either way."

Raiden suddenly started to lower his robe, he tied the sleeves around his waist and began to take his position. "Prove it boy!" he demanded. "Here and now, prove it!"

"You of all people know that this isn't proper manners of a sumo"

Raiden smirked. "I'm retired, you're no longer a sumo wrestler, let alone Yokozuna."

He paused and shrugged his shoulders, Raiden did have a point there. But looking about there were too many people, and this fight would only draw more in to watch. "I am going to politely decline for the time being…"

"You don't have that option!"

Raiden came at him! Charging full speed as his palms were ready to land a solid strike to his chest. Tempest took the blow as the earth trembled, the dust kicked up and blocked everyone's view.

But when it settled. Tempest remained were he was, he didn't move an inch. "What… No! This is impossible!" Raiden protested.

"My turn…"

It was a stiff open palm strike to his chest. Raiden was thrown back but kept on his feet! Yet the look on his face was one Tempest would never forget. It was fear.

He couldn't believe Tempest pushed him back that easily. "You forget yourself. My father, Garou, trained me, each and every day until our battle. I was training on how to hold myself back so I wouldn't accidently harm anyone in the sumo ring. You have only a taste of my true strength… are you looking for seconds?" His eyes gave off a cold glare worth of Amai Mask, but there was a smile that would easily be mistaken for Garou's grin.

Raiden's pride has been damage; he refused to let this matter settle.

He repositioned himself and stood at the ready. "Bring it boy!" he demanded.

Tempest smirked as he honored his choice. He took a sumo stance himself as the two appeared to have a stare down. Then, Raiden moved. He gave off a battle cry as he charged once more. Grabbing hold of Tempest's shoulders, he tried to railroad him. But once more, he didn't budge!

His feet firmly planted in the ground as he began to push Raiden back!

Then the world shook as Tempest landed a single strike.

Raiden flew back and hit the ground hard, but the odd thing was, he remained there. Tempest paused oddly, normally he would be back up on his feet in not time. Curious, he wondered over and peered down. Raiden was dumbfounded.

"You really…" he muttered.

"That's right," Tempest said gently. "I spared you your winning streak since I knew you wouldn't take defeat like that, apparently the same goes with a draw… you just couldn't let things be could you?" He sighed aloud and began to walk away. "Good luck in your future endeavors" he called.

Yet as he began to walk away, he felt a creeping sensation, looking behind him, Raiden stood once more but shouted. "YOU'RE ONLY STRONG BECAUSE YOU ARE A MONSTER!" he shouted.

Tempest turned and smiled. "Your point?" he asked. "I can't change who I am and how I was born, just so you know. Besides, I don't mind being who I am. Since I know that now, in my heart of hearts it's who I am meant to be!"

Raiden sneered once more. "There will come a day when you will no longer be able to hide your true nature… when that day comes… I will take great pride in bringing you down!"

Tempest merely smiled. "That day… will never come," he waved him off and began to head for home. He was looking forward to some home cooking!
