The elevator leading to the surface activated the laser switch, opening the large hatch. The light blinded Emilee, forcing her to close her eyes. But even that didn't remove the searing pain of the sunlight making contact with her eyes for the first time in what Emilee assumed was 200 years, due to the fact that the Pip-Boy she retrieved from the scientist's skeleton said the date was October 23, 2287. The woman's long blonde hair falling around her shoulders, the same as she had her hair that day two hundred years ago. Emilee put her hands over her eyes and opened them to the harsh wasteland sun. As her eyes adjusted, she saw her old home. And she heard a small whirring sound at the base of the mountain.
She looked down there but saw nothing but the rather large development of housing known as Sanctuary Hills. She sat on the ground and thought about what was going on. The vault was a lie. They froze her and her family and took her baby. She stood up and started the hike down to the base of the mountain. She navigated expertly through the dead trees. After two hours, she reached Sanctuary Hills and saw what was making the whirring noise. An old robot, a Mr Handy, slightly rusted. She ran over to it.
"Codsworth?!" She exclaimed. The Mr Handy spun around, his eyestalks cameras widening.
"Miss Emilee?" He exclaimed in return. They had a brief conversation. Soon Emilee was walking towards Concord, a city about half an hour walk away. Along the way, she walked past an old Red Rocket. She saw movement inside and slowly approached the gas station. As she approached, she spotted a German Shepherd. It ran up to her, and she knelt down to greet it.
"Hey, boy. Whatcha doing out here all by yourself?" Emilee asked. The dog whimpered in response. "You wanna come with me boy? Yeah? Let's go." She stood up, and the dog followed her. She noticed many containers and rummaged through them. Soon, she and the Dog were back on the road. She and the dog followed the road to Concord, where she heard distant gunshots. She slowly made her way through the desolate city, in the direction of the gunshots.
As she drew nearer, she discovered that the gunshots were from a laser weapon, high on a balcony at what she remembered to be the Museum Of Freedom. She also saw that many people dressed in rudimentary armour with pipe weapons shooting at the man with the Laser weapon. She drew the Ten-Millimetre Pistol she retrieved from the Vault. She then snuck through the buildings to the rear entrance of the museum. As she reached the back door, one of the people attacking the man on the balcony noticed her and ran over, swinging at her with a Tire Iron. She aimed her 10mm Pistol, and pulled the trigger five times in rapid succession. Each shot landed on her attacker. The man dropped, She looted the body, and slipped through the door, remaining unnoticed.
She snuck slowly through the building, avoiding conflict. Unfortunately, she couldnt avoid conflict for long, as one of the man's attackers noticed her, and shouted loudly that they found someone. While she couldnt see the person's face, the one who noticed Emilee had a female voice. The woman drew a crude weapon and aimed it at Emilee. Before she got the chance to fire at Emilee, the blonde woman shot the weapon out of her attackers hands. She looted the body, so as to have things to sell. She fought quickly through the building, meeting with the man she saw outside on the balcony. She helped the man, and soon she fought a large enemy, one she had seen before. Before the bombs fell, the military was working on a mutated lizard, codenamed Project DeathClaw. Her husband was part of the project, and showed her pictures. She felled the Deathclaw, mostly due to the Minigun and Power Armoour she retrieved from the roof of the museum.
