A/N: Goddamn, it's been awhile since i've written anything for this, but I randomly got a burst of motivation and legitimately wrote the rest of the story in a few days. Throwing them all up now cause who knows when this crappy work internet will go out again, but yeah! Enjoy :)...or not, I don't own you.

Andrew's POV:

I take a deep breath and look up into the dark, starry sky.

"I know it's probably only been like a single night since all this shit has gone down but breathing in this open air is such a relief."

I hear Ilia take a deep breath next to me.

"It is somewhat comforting in a not-so-comforting setting."

I smirk slightly look around our little resting spot we created. After Libitina passed out, we all made our way out of the Deadman's Hills, with Libitina in tow. After ten or so minutes, we found a clearing out of the Hill's. With the facility now in sight, we set up a resting spot by a rock and boulder formation that lay in the field.

We laid Libitina down alongside some of the rock, while Ilia, Allison and I sat and rested, enjoying the rare serenity we were given for the moment.

"Do we even know what time is right now?" I ask out loud to either of the girls. Ilia shrugs at me.

"We never really had clocks or anything inside the building anyways, we just kind of knew the general time of day based on what they make us do."

I rest my head back on the boulder and sigh.

"I can't believe all this…..like, exists. If you woulda told be earlier this morning, or yesterday morning, or whatever the fuck morning that I would be here, I wouldn't have believed it for a second."

Ilia looks up to me, careful not to disturb a resting Allison, who looks to have passed out on her shoulder.

"She gonna be okay?" I ask, nodding to Allison.

Ilia runs her fingers through Allison's long, brown hair before speaking.

"I think so…she should be. She's just…..overwhelmed with everything. She's on the fragile side."

I chuckle slightly to myself.

"Well, I'm glad she can be here with us, so she wouldn't have to go through this shit alone."

We sat against the rocks in silence for a moment before Ilia broke the still air.

"What is it like….on the outside?"

I pause to think before answering. I mean, to be completely honest, it's different everywhere, so I only really know how it is in one place.

"Well, it's kind of different depending on where you live. I was more of in a city, so, I don't know, it's just….lively. I could tell you all day long about where I lived and what I did, but honestly it's one of soooo many different places to be, so it's a different experience everywhere else. I've just been in the one place my whole life so it's all I know."

She doesn't respond, only fixates her gaze out into the barren field. I stay quiet and try to make out what anything is in the dark wasteland.

"Do you….do you actually think we'll make it?" She carefully asks me after a few minutes.

I turn to her, seeing her staring at me for an answer. Her brown eyes shook with fear, but also a hint of hope.

I sigh and clear my throat, thinking of an appropriate answer.

"Well, I think that if we keep our heads together and keep pushing, we should be able to get out of here. We've made it this far, you know?"

She's silent for a moment before answering.

"As long as we can get everyone out of here, I'll be content. Allison and especially Libitina."

I look down at the unconscious, silver-haired girl.

"Why especially her?"

Ilia slides her hand through Libitina's hair, a faint smile appears on her face.

"She's been through so much. With Yuri going missing, or I guess escaping, all the pressure fell down onto Lib. They pushed even harder and stressed her even more, she shouldn't have had to go through all that."

I sigh and look up at the stars as she continues.

"I just can't let it all be for nothing. They deserve far better than what they've been through. I'll save them before I save myself."

I throw a random rock across the field, choosing my words carefully.

"You know, as much as it sucks, we have her to thank for us getting this far."

Ilia silently agrees with me, her fingers idly flowing through the two girls' hair.

We cease conversation and sit in silence, enjoying the cool air. Every so often, some sort of loud noise comes from the facility, as if it's still being under attack.

I was counting my about 516th star when I heard some movement stirring. I turn my head to see Libitina wiping her eyes and grasping her head.

"Libitina!" Ilia says, helping the girl sit up.

"Erg-where are we?" Her raspy voice says, right before clearing her throat.

Ilia looks at me to answer so I shrug.

"Not entirely sure the exact location, just some empty field in between the Hills and the facility."

She turns to see where I'm pointing, seeing the building up ahead.

"We kind of figured this would be a nice, safe spot to regather ourselves." I gesture to the sleeping Allison. "As well as getting you to safety."

She winces and rubs her head.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I guess that was the end of my Awakening, for a little bit at least."

She glances around where we're at, seeing how we are, indeed, surrounded by a whole lot of nothing.

"Take a deep breathe." I tell her. "It may sound weird, but it's strangely soothing right now."

She makes a show of breathing in deeply.

"It's refreshing to have a somewhat clearer head right now."

I sigh and turn to see the facility, with its search lights scanning the perimeter and small fires spitting up here and there.

"I really hope we can finish all this. Just wish we knew where to start."

Libitina looks up at me, looking like gears were turning in her head.

"When….when I was awakened, before all those things scattered, I think I remember one speaking in my head."

"…what'd it say?" I ask curiously.

"It only mentioned to beware the lab and the Speaker, but I don't know what that means."

I focus once more on the facility.

"Is there some sort of lab in there? I mean, I presume they have some sort of underground operation going on. For Christs sake, we all saw those things, they clearly were tampered with."

"I…I don't know…" Libitina says, sounding slightly defeated.

I turn to her and put my hand on her shoulder.

"We're gonna go in there, figure out what the hell is going on in this lab, find Yuri, and get the fuck outta here. We haven't come this far just to stop now."

I'm not sure if I was mentally broken and had a false sense of confidence or what, but the small, hopeful smile that grew on the cute silver-haired girls face was enough to back it up.

"Let's wake up little sleeping beauty over there, we got some shit to take care of as quickly as possible."

…..

Libitina's POV:

We sidled up close to each other under one of the watchtowers defending the facility. Andrew took point this time, making sure to watch out for anything we should worry about.

Approaching the watchtowers was no easy task. Everyone is on extremely high alert after the events that's happened tonight. The luminescent lights scoured the fields and outside of the facility's entrances, looking for anyone or anything to exit. Part of me felt it was for their own survival, not for containment.

Andrew motioned for us to stay in place as he poked his head around the corner to search for an opening.

"What if the tower sees us?" I hear Allison meekly ask from behind us.

"We'll get through this, okay? It'll be a piece of cake." Ilia confidently whispers to her younger sister.

Andrew motions for me to step up and peak with him.

"Not really from around here so you might have more expertise with this area, but.." He points towards the facility. "..is that an opening right there? In the fence line?"

I squint my eyes to look farther, with the searchlights not helping by playing a fun game called Lighting-Up-The-Area-Just-Kidding-Not-Really.

"Er-yeah I think so. Actually, as a matter of fact, looking like part of the entire fence over there is open."

I point to an area not too far from where he was looking, showing an even bigger area to enter from. It looks like it's one of the courtyards for another section.

"Okay, that'll be our point of entry."

He looks up at the tower above us, following the lights pattern.

"So, unfortunately, the guards seem to be searching in a very unpredictable pattern. Fortunately, they seem extremely focused over there.."

He nods to one of the major entrances to the facilities, where the set of doors were missing and there were small fires surrounding it.

I squeeze his arm.

"Looks like this is our shot."

I turn and usher the girls closer, bringing my voice to a whisper.

"Stick close to us, okay? We're going to hug this tower and stay in the shadows and enter through one of the other sections' courtyard, okay?"

The girls silently agree, and I sigh in anticipation.

I give Andrew a nod, giving him the approval to begin moving.

We effectively move from the watchtower to the fence, utilizing the shadows that the structure provided from the moon. It sure helped that their attention was more-so focused on the major entrance, so it was pretty easy sliding into the courtyard. In no time at all, we were silently creeping into the hellish facility once more.

I silently closed the double-door after beckoning the girls in and gazed around to soak in the sight.

Emergency lights were flashing, though some were worn from destruction. Small fires were in around each hall, none too big to pose a concern but good to avoid. Blood was staining the walls, with corpses littered all over, ranging from Onyx guards, researchers, and our section mates.

I scan the immediate area for any sort of information to point us in the right direction.

"If there were a lab, where do you think it would be?" Andrew quietly asks me, craning his neck to look for an answer.

I saw several, deteriorated signs were bolted to walls. I walked up to one, trying to make out what it says.

"I doubt any of them would straight up say 'Here's the lab!'," I say out loud. "But, if I was to guess where to start, it would be towards the offices."

I gesture for them to follow me down one of the destroyed hallways.

As we silently walked through the maze-like halls, the distant sounds of screams were heard. Allison would whimper every now and then, so I had to make sure to give her a squeeze, so she'd know she's safe with us.

We halted at one of crossroads of a hallway, hearing soft, pained moans.

I peer around the corner and gasp at the sight.

There was the one the imprisoned girls, laying and wallowing in pain up against the wall.

As we approach, I noticed the poor girl had a huge, basketball-sized wound in her torso. How she was still breathing was beyond me.

She noticed movement in her eyes and looked up, tear and blood stains on her face.

"Pl-please, help me." She pleas at us.

The pure raw hopelessness and pain in her voice was enough to bring me to tears.

I place a finger softly to my lips and lower down to her, the others staying close and looking out.

"Hey now, it'll be okay. Who did this to you? Where are they?"

She swallows and heaves a few pained breathes before continuing.

"It was one of the guards. They are *cough* rounding everyone up and taking them somewhere.." She says with difficultly.

"They didn't say where?" I softly ask, squeezing the girls hand.

She barely shakes her head, coughing and shaking.

"Please…..please take me with you.." She cries.

I pinch my eyes shut and squeeze her hand.

"You'll be okay, I promise, this will all be over soon."

The girls breathing begin to slow, her eyes slowly glazing over.

"I don't want to die here….."

Her head falls limp, life leaving her body completely.

I wipe a few tears that surfaced from my eyes and take a shakey breath, standing up to meet the others behind me.

"She says that the guards were corralling the surviving members of the facility and taking them somewhere, but she didn't know where."

Andrew went to speak but stopped in his tracks, his face contorting to an attentive state.

"Hear that? There are guards coming. We've gotta dip."

Sure enough, the sounds of radios were echoing through the halls, and getting louder at that.

We carefully and quickly start hustling down the ruined hallway pasted the poor, deceased girl.

We stumbled through some wreckage that partially blockaded a door. The area was dimly lit, and the walls looked scorched, as if it was the aftermath of a fire. I recognized the area as a lobby of a section, though the environment was so deteriorated that I couldn't figure out which one.

We pass through a destroyed entry gate and Andrew points us in the direction of the nearby section office.

Inside was what I've seen previously; screens, although shattered and broken, placed up all over the office. A large panel that usually harbored the controls for all the doors and alarms was irreparably damaged, with no sign of it working. Several file cabinets were dented and thrown about, with several white-coated men laying wasted against the walls, their wounds ranging from decapitation to blood loss.

The crinkling of files and paper filled the air as we carefully looked for anything to help us.

"Look here." Andrew says across the office.

I turn to see him brandishing some sort of ID card. I walk up to him to get a closer look.

"The name is tampered with and doesn't specify a job title, but…" He steps over the deceased body and points a blood-stained sheet on top of the panel. "…Looks like there's multiple directors in charge here, and they have a main section where they mainly work at, which kind of makes a lot of sense."

"Multiple directors….like one director per section…so Dr. Winters is just one of many hellish assholes." I mutter.

I scan the paper once more, soaking in all the names.

"Hm….not only does it look like contact information for the other directors, but information regarding some of the researchers too, meaning if we can find this section of offices…"

"…we can find where the lab is." Andrew says with me. He turns to the girls, who've huddled together near the entryway.

"Alright, ladies. Lend me your courage once more. We have a classified section to find."
