Andrew's POV:

...

...

...

'Bzzt. Bzzt. Bzzt.'

I look down at a side table next to me, seeing my phone screen light up. It read 'Sayori.'

I look around my balcony, having the call break me out of my trance. The hot, summer air had a nice breeze, so the local scenery seemed more alive than usual. It was still morning, however, so it was perfect for relaxing in.

I sigh and pick up my phone, bracing myself for the girl's enthusiastic greeting.

"Andrew!" I hear the cheerful girl screech from the other end of the line.

I hold the phone a few inches away from my ear, so I don't go deaf.

"You know, you don't have to rupture my ear drums every time you talk to me." I respond.

I hear her giggle on the other end of the line.

"I have nooo idea what you're talking about." She says, clearly lying. "Anyways, are we still meeting up at the café soon?"

I pull the phone away from my ear so I could see the screen, checking the date.

"Oh yeah, that is today, isn't it?" I say, slightly surprised that I forgot.

"Of course it's today!" She says back. "We've been talking about it for weeks!"

I smirk and rolled my eyes.

"First off, you have been talking about it. And it's definitely only been a few days."

I heard her huff on the other end of the line.

"Well, it sure has felt like it's been forever!"

I chuckle at the dorky girl and sigh.

"Well, now that I know what day it is, you bet I'll be there." I say.

I heard an excited screech from Sayori. I raise an eyebrow and laugh.

"Did you seriously think that I'd decline? After I already said I'd go a few days ago?"

"I think we both know that I would have dragged you there anyways even if you said no." She jokes.

'Well, you ain't wrong.'

"Yeah, yeah, I guess you're right."

I hear her sigh happily on the other end of the phone.

"Is Libitina or Allison coming?"

I rear my head to look inside my apartment, laying my eyes on Libitina who was sitting on couch, watching some TV.

"I think Lib is up to go, but Allison isn't awake yet. Natsuki kinda got her hooked on some manga or someshit and now she has a messed-up sleep schedule."

I heard Sayori burst into laughter.

"She's been reading and watching everything Natsuki has recommended! It's like she's never heard anything!"

'Well, there's a reason for that'

"Yeah, yeah, she's kinda lived under a rock from what I can understand.'

I lock my gaze out on the scenery past my balcony. The trees danced in the wind and it was relaxing to see.

"I'm going to head inside and chill, but I'll text you when we're heading over, okay?" I tell to Sayori.

"Okay, okay! See you then! Byyyeee!"

I hang up the phone and shove it into my pocket, heading to my balcony door.

Libitina perked up when I entered the room, eyes beaming at me.

"Hey! When are we heading over to the café?" She questions.

I rolled my eyes and smirked.

"Am I the only one who forgot that was today?"

She broke into and giggle and squeezed my cat, Zazzles, who unwillingly was stuck in her lap.

"No, I just heard you on the phone out there talking about it."

I nodded my head and plopped down on the other end of the couch, propping my feet up on a coffee table.

"I'm assuming Allison isn't going?" She asks.

I glance towards the closed bedroom door that her and Allison share.

"Eh, if she gets up in time. You know how she's been, catching up on all the fun she's missed."

Libitina pops a pretzel into her mouth before continuing.

"Yeah, she totally loves Natsuki's stuff. I never knew Aly could be so outgoing like that. She just needed one person who shared an internet, or get her interested I guess, and she turns totally into Ilia."

I chuckle and lay my head back on my couch, head turned to Libitina.

Her silver haired was neatly kept, hanging down on either side. Her blues eyes were full of life and she seemed to always have a smile on her face. After being in a better environment, she's cleaned up quite nicely, clearly being a cuter, younger resemblance of her older sister.

When she brought up Ilia's name, some thoughts popped into my head and I sighed.

"You guys are….you guys will be fine when I start having to leave for school and work, right?" I question.

Lib, still focused on my cat, gives a soft sigh.

"Yeah, I think we should be okay. I know it's only been a few months, but I think that we have been adjusting rather well. Besides, we have the literature club to look forward too when you start leaving, so that's a plus!"

I smirk and put my hand on the arm of my couch, slowing rubbing my hand along the texture, lost in thought.

I'm glad the girls were able to adjust so well after we arrived. I mean, it's not everyday you grow up in an experimental prison then teleport in a city park in a new world. The first few days or, who am I kidding, week or so was kind of rough. Convincing the Club that Yuri had to take a leave of absence for….an unknown (But most likely permanent) time for a family issue but having her sister and "cousin" appear was a little difficult, but the club welcomed them immediately.

I explained they will just be staying with me indefinitely and don't go to school, but Monika was more than happy to let them accompany the club.

Over time, Allison and Libitina warmed up to everyone, with Allison and Natsuki practically being stuck at the hip, and Libitina just overall getting along with everyone.

Although it's been the summer and we haven't actually had a club meeting yet, the girls are plenty excited to have a small, welcoming family in their lives.

The only other pressing issue is…..each of our curses, the Third Eye.

My eyebrows furrow and I frown unconsciously when the thought enters my mind, which Libitina seems to catch onto.

"What's wrong, Andrew?" She gently asks.

"Me? Eh, nothing really. Just thinking about all of us and what we've been through. That and, well, our super fun powers that we have."

I glance in her direction and she sighs, resting her head on her hand while looking my direction.

"Has it been better?" She asks, genuine care in her words.

"Yeah, it's been getting okay. We haven't had any crazy episodes yet, just the nightmares for now."

I briefly remember the scare I had in the park one evening, when I was mentally drained, and my powers almost surfaced completely.

I shudder at the thought.

"It's taking a toll on me, for sure. It's weird though..." I rub my temple gently. "...it's kind of like we have a mental understanding. Some days are close calls, but I think this whole superpower thing will be alright."

"Well, I'm glad it's getting better." Libitina sighs. "Don't forget that me and Allison are both here, two people who have been dealing with this curse for years now. We can help the best we can, whenever you need it."

I wave her over and she dives into my chest, crushing me into a hug.

"Urge-Thanks, Lib. Please don't break my ribs."

She giggles in my chest.

"No promises, Andrew."

"Just cause you're almost twenty doesn't mean you can get away with murder, you know."

I hear the creak of a door and look up, seeing a long poof of brown hair in the shadows.

"Hey, Allison." I call out to her.

She slowly walks into the room, rubbing the sleep cutely out of her eyes. She looks at me, looks down to Libitina, and back at me with a grin.

"Hold your horses now, Al, I already feel like-"

I was cute off by Allison dive bombing into my chest from the other side, successfully breaking the second half of my body.

"Oof, come on girls, I don't feel like explaining to a doctor that my ribs are dust due to excessive hugs."

The girls laugh and sit up, with Aly hopping up on the arm of my couch.

She had a cute smile on her face, along with her joyous brown eyes. Her hair, albeit messy from sleep, was in much better condition, as well as her skin.

It made me happy that she was doing so well. She was still timid around new situations, but when you got to know her? Completely different person. She definitely was Ilia's sister.

"Glad to see you're up and pumping, lil' crazy." I say to her.

She hums and sighs happily to herself.

"Yeah well, I just finished Natsuki's recommendation of 'Bakery Girls' last night and I needed to get up to find something new!"

I chuckle at the girl's new hobby.

"Well, me and Lib are meeting up with the Literature Club ladies pretty soon, wanna tag along?"

Her eyes sparkle and a grin grows on her face.

"Yes! Of course! How soon?"

I looked at Libitina and then to a clock hanging on my wall.

"Uh…like, pretty soon? I mean I still need to throw on some shoes and-"

I look up to see the girl has already vanished, the sounds of closet doors opening and closing for her to change.

"Well, I guess that means we're leaving in a few minutes." I chuckle, looking at Libitina.

"In that case, allow me to go change as well and we'll be on our way!"

Libitina got off the couch and entered their bedroom, closing the door in the process. Zazzles darts off my couch and to safety, somewhere away from all of us.

I sigh happily and retrieve my shoes, putting them on to wait for the girls. I feel a ping of excitement to see my club members again, knowing it's going to be a good afternoon.

Libitina's POV:

I sat sipping on the delicious Frappuccino that Andrew bought for me. He always gets this vanilla bean one, so I copy him all the time.

Allison was bouncing in her seat, no doubt from her coffee she had.

"Aly, you know coffee probably isn't the best thing for you, right?" I joke to her, watching her chug her drink.

"Coffee is the best thing for me, and I want more!" She exclaims.

I see Andrew raise an eyebrow at her, looking like a concerned parent. I put my hand to my mouth to hold in a laugh.

"You know, Allison, you've had enough coffee to sprint around the world thirty-five times and still have energy to spare."

Her face falls and looks up to Andrew with puppy eyes.

"But…it taste realllllyyy good."

Andrew sits up straight in his seat and points a finger at her, trying his best not to smirk.

"Now you know not to do that whole puppy-eyes bullshit!"

Allison kicked into overdrive, shooting cute lasers all over to Andrew.

"Okay, okay, fine." He says, standing up. "But this is the last one!" He says as he enters the café again.

I turn to Allison who was sitting there with a smirk on her face.

"You know, you're pretty damn manipulative."

She giggled at me and shrugged.

"I mean, it works doesn't it?"

My laughter is cut off by loud yelling to my side.

"Libitina! Allison!"

I turn to see Sayori running at us, with Monika and Natsuki following close behind.

"It's so good to see you guys! It's been forever!" She says, hugging us from our seats.

"Sayori, it's been like four days." I laugh to her.

She plops out at a seat across from me, next to Andrew, and sighs happily.

"Eh, what is time, anyways?"

I turn and see Monika sitting at the end of the table and Natsuki sitting right next to Allison, where they're immediately lost in conversation.

Monika puts a purse down and leans forward, cupping her head in her hands.

"Where's Andrew run off to?" She asks.

I simply point to the several cups in front of Allison, and she nods her head.

"Ah, I see, I see."

As if on cue, Andrew exits the café, coffee in hand.

"And for the needy nerd, one hot-ass coffee."

Allison takes the coffee and starts drinking it, all without stopping her conversation with Natsuki.

"Don't worry, you're welcome."

I laugh at him as he sits down next to Sayori, leaning back in his seat.

"Hey, everybody, glad to see you guys. It's been like forever." He says, mocking Sayori.

"Hey, meanie. It sure does feel like it!" She retorts. Andrew pats her head and rolls his eyes at her.

"Can't believe we're starting up school again." Monika starts, sitting back in her chair. "We'll have to start planning our club days and activities. Try to keep things fresh with new things."

I nod my head and Sayori pipes up from next to me.

"Yeah! We should do more things!"

"Like what?" Andrew asks.

Her face deadpans.

"I mean, I dunno, I just wanted to add to the conversation."

Monika rolled her eyes, smirking.

"Anyways, we can try and find a new place to meet up cause these guys can't really get on campus."

Andrew nods and turns to me.

'Uh oh, I'm about to have to make my first club contribution.'

"Well, I think I have an idea for a place to meet up." He says.

I had a feeling of the place he was going to bring up, knowing its one of my favorite places to clear my head. The place I go to when thoughts of my past life start to bring me down. It's a little happy place for me.

Sensing we were on the same page, he waves at me to continue.

"What about the gazebo at the park? It's close to the school and not too far away."

Monika nods her head, eyes lost as if in thought.

"I think….I think that could work." She looks up to the other girls and shrugs. "I'd tell them, but they're clearly busy. They'll figure it out somehow."

We all laugh together and change the subject. We ended up sitting around the café all afternoon, talking about anything and everything. Natsuki and Allison almost ran the cafe dry of coffee, making them way too energetic. We ended up sitting out and enjoying each other's company up until the sun went down.

We decided we'd meet up in a few weeks at our new spot, Club Gazebo, which was Sayori's idea to call it.

Everyone parted ways, leaving just me, Allison and Andrew.

We stood up, throwing away our trash and about to head home and a thought entered my head.

"Andrew, do you think we could go to the Gazebo really quick before going home?"

He tossed and cup away and smiled.

"Of course, lead the way."

We walked our way there, enjoying the lovely night. The moon hung high and the air was nice and cool. I will never take these lovely nights for granted.

We arrived and sat down on the wooden seats on the interiors of it's walls.

"Any specific reason why we're here?" Andrew asks.

I breath in the cool air, feeling it relax me.

"Not any particular reason. Just wanted to relax for a bit. It reminds me that…..I'm free. I'm free and I'm safe."

I see Andrew nod his head in the corner of my eyes, listening.

That's one of the best things he does. Listen. I have to say, the more I've gotten to know him, the more I've grown to trust him. That, and I can also see why Yuri would have a place in her heart for this man.

I felt my cheeks flush at the thought and softly lay my head on his shoulder.

"I hope that it can continue this way." Andrew says. "It took one night to completely change my perspective on things. Change how I approach situations and treat people."

I nuzzled my forehead into his shoulder and sigh.

"It's something we can never forget. Especially for those who were lost there, we shouldn't forget." I softly say.

Yuri and Ilia's memory pop into my head, and I can feel Andrew thinking the same thing. He's always careful around those two as a topic, even if Yuri was close to him as well.

"It's okay. I know they're in a better place, keeping a watch over us." I assure him.

He sighs and leans his head against the wooden post behind him.

"Yeah, I know they are. I promised I'd keep you guys safe, and I don't plan on stopping any time soon."

I pull my eyes up to see Allison on his other side, mirroring my position.

I'm proud of how strong she was able to be, especially after losing Ilia. No matter who picked on her, she was ten times the person anyone could ever be.

I took a deep breath and followed everyone's gaze, seeing the beautiful full moon overhead.

We sat in silence as we enjoyed the cool, summer air. It's been an adjustment, for sure. I would love to have Ilia and Yuri here, too, but I try my hardest not to dwell too hard on the past. Instead, I will continuously honor them and turn to the future.

A future where I feel a safe, a future where I can grow and prosper with a true family,…..

My future with Andrew, Allison, and the Literature Club.

A/N: Thanks for reading! This one was kind of a challenge, and also probably way different than alot of these stories. Just really borrowed the characters and premises and tried to make something out of the ballpark. Definitely took me some time, due to inexperience and writer's block. Still learning how to write something intriguing and fun while painting an image and stuff. Guess it'll only get better with time, right? I'm already throwing around some thoughts for another story I'm going to write, definitely more light-hearted and probably more on the romantic side. Apparently whenever I feel like writing, it's DDLC related which I guess it alright, the characters are easy to write about. Or attempt. Anyways, thanks for reading and um...yeah have a good one! :)
