Now sitting as comfortably as I could manage with my paw bandaged I watched on curious as Jago sat crossed-legged beside me. Placing an open palm over each of his knees he took a deep breath before he let it out slowly, his eyes travelling to my face when I didn't react.
"Do exactly as I do, Kaylea. Just breathe like you always do focusing on your breathing and my voice." Jago urged and I sighed, giving him a raised eyebrow. Chuckling softly, Jago closed his eyes. Shaking my head I tried to focus on what he had said though just breathing in and out but it proved difficult when my ears picked up every sound; from the buzz of insects just outside my makeshift home to a steady drum.
It wasn't until I discovered that the source of the beating was Jago's heartbeat that I grinned, switching my focus from the noises only I could pick up outside to his breathing. I hadn't even realized that I had zoned out when I hear someone talking close to my left ear and I slowly opened my eyes to find Jago staring directly at my face, his lips curling into a smile when I turned my attention to the warrior monk.
"Sorry I was miles away. Did you say something, Jago?" I asked and he gave me a slow nod, stretching his arms above his head.
"It doesn't matter, Kayela. How do you feel after your brief time meditating?" Jago replied and I let out another breath. "Is something the matter?"
"I could hear everything and I tried to block it out. Then all I could focus on was your heartbeat. Does that sound really weird to you?" I explained but Jago just shook his head at me as he stretched his legs next.
"It's difficult to block out all sound out especially for one with your acute hearing. Focusing on just one sound might be easier for you." Jago answered and I nodded as he shifted his legs around. "Now are you willing to try again?"
Giving him a quick smirk I closed my eyes, leaning my head back I started to breathe in and out like Jago had, listening to his heartbeat and as I did I felt something. My own heartbeat slowed enough to make me feel calmer and that brought a faint smile to my face. I wasn't even aware that Jago had stopped mediating and opened his eyes to stare at me his eyes widening slightly as my chest rose and fell with every breath, my face peaceful.
Kayela seems to have taken my advice. She looks so calm now not at all like a wild animal the way I found her before. I just hope she uses this time to relax and not worry about Ultratech or her beast side. Hopefully this time she'll take my advice to heart.
Jago returned to his own mediation after studying Kayela for another minute or he tried to but his mind kept moving back to how close they had gotten after he discovered her living a solitary life in the castle. Before he knew it Jago's mind showed him the moment that Kayela had admitted just how lonely she had become since she had changed into a werewolf and his breathing quickened as the image of the pair of us making love shot into his mind.
Unable to prevent it Jago's eyes shot open to reveal glowing blue orbs and after a few seconds of studying me he grinned, climbing to his feet so that he stood over me. Oblivious I focused on the advice Jago had given me not even realizing that my friend was standing there until I felt strong hands grasping my shoulders and my eyes shot open, a growl emerging from my throat.
"Relax, wolf. It's just me." He told me and my growls cut out my eyes studying him as he gave my shoulders a quick squeeze before he straightened, shifting around until he was standing behind me.
I turned my head to watch him sit behind me, carefully crossing his legs as he made himself comfortable. I took a deep breath through my nose and my eyes narrowed, an unfamiliar scent invading my senses as he set one hand down on my left shoulder. Feeling me tense and my eyes narrowed he actually chuckled.
"Wolf, I am only going to give you a backrub." He teased and I gave him a show of my canines but he ignored my warning, instead his hand continued and once it ended up on the small of my back he started to gently rub slow circles around it.
Once he felt me relax he continued to rub my back and even though it felt good something seemed off about his actions. Especially when his other hand reached around and I jerked, growling softly as his hand wandered over my chest. "That and even more." He growled in a perfect echo of my own bestial growls, his hand cupped one breast through my top.
"I didn't give you permission to touch me." I snapped at him my canines now bared but Jago ignored me, his hand stroking and squeezing my breast. "Jago, be very careful. My bite is much worse than my bark." I added eyes glowing and Jago actually sniggered, his hand sliding under my top and I let out a low groan as he found my breast, his hand cupping it.
"I doubt even you would protest this." Jago whispered, his teeth nibbling at my earlobe as the hand on my back slid down to cup my shorts. "You are beautiful when you are furious." He muttered, nibbling at my throat next as his fingernails brushed my nipple a faint chuckle emerging from his lips when I arched my back. Knowing he was teasing me I decided to get even and I arched my hips against his crotch, silently pleased when he drew in a shuddering breath.
"You are this close to being mauled, monk." I growled, his lips finding mine as his hand moved out from under my top. As we kissed our tongues dancing he grasped my shorts tugging them down enough so that Jago could see my bare backside. A warm sensation filled my belly and it grew when he fumbled for his own pants, pulling them down enough to free the painful erection that had been straining his pants.
"Wolf, you want this as badly as I do." Jago mumbled and I froze as he reached over, pushing my legs apart. "Tell me you're not as excited as I am?"
"My body might like this but I don't like being pushed into something like this." I protested, slipping from his grip. Frustrated, Jago climbed to his feet when I straightened and I growled as he spun me around. Smacking me back into the tree made my head ache and I snapped my jaws, my teeth just missing his nose as he tried to kiss me roughly.
The snarl that emerged from my throat as well as the realization I could have taken his nose off cooled the monk down enough to slowly blink at me, his hands fumbling at pulling his pants back on. Immediately he hissed as he clothed his erection and I narrrowed my eyes, feeling the tiniest amount of pity when I noticed how rapid his breathing was.
"Jago, why are you trying to force yourself on me?" I asked and he turned his head with two wide eyes. Seeing the confusion in his face I sighed, moving close before he stepped away.
"I...am sorry, Kayela. I don't know what came over me." Jago trailed off with a grimace moving towards the tree's entrance until he felt a tug on his arm. The second he stopped I moved to block his path and he turned in time to feel my lips pressing against his. Once we broke apart Jago fixed me with two wide eyes and I sighed, cupping his chin.
"There's something you're not telling me isn't there?" I asked and he continued to stare at me until I let out a faint growl. "I've told you my secrets and yet you're holding back. How can I trust someone who hides things from me?" I whispered and he softened, reaching up before his hand covered mine.
"I have another side side, a much darker side." Jago began, motioning me to sit and after I did he joined me. Now sitting with his legs crossed he cleared his throat and I listened as he told me about the Ultratech tournament and Gargos, the false Tiger Spirit. At the mention of Ultratech I growled softly and he lifted his hand, gently patting mine which did help calm me.
"You do realize you're not the only one with a dark side right?" I asked once he finished speaking and he gave a tired laugh, cocking an eyebrow when I grinned at him. "Truthfully I kind of liking being dominated however next time ask permission first. Otherwise I might have accidently made a werewolf of you and I just know Orchid would have nailed my hide to the nearest wall if I did." I added, showing my canines as Jago's cheeks turned a brilliant red.
"I will remember to ask permission next time, Kayela." Jago fianlly agreed and I nodded, kissing him full on the mouth before he could react.
