Chapter 3
Jasmine Float
"You've been coming later than usual." she smiled as she handed his drink and her dessert of the week.
"Hai, sorry about the bother." he muttered quietly as he paid, eleven fifty.
"Not at all,"
"I joined a volleyball team and the practices ran late." he laughed quietly as he walleted his change.
"I didn't know you played." she smiled softly as she finished her cleaning. Taking a towel he began to help her wipe down the remaining tables as she placed the dishes in the washer.
"A friend from college introduced me, it's a huge stress relief from medical studies." he smiled up at her, his hair now dry and beautifully framing his features. How it looked perfectly blow dried was beyond her.
"You study medicine," she trailed off, her insecurities creeping in on her. The large books began to make sense and she wondered how he had time to fit in volleyball. "Oh, you must need rest, please don't help clean. Go home." she awkwardly tried to yank out the dish rag.
"I don't mind. I think I cause you more trouble." he chuckled quietly, content just to stay longer in her presence. Clicking her tongue to the roof of her mouth she frowned, "It's really not fair." slickly trying to yank the rag from behind but was left empty handed as he sidestepped.
"I really don't mind. But we could make a deal?" he smiled at her, dark eyes piercing her soul
"I'll leave tonight if you come to a game." he stretched his hands
"I can't, I have to close here." she muttered
"You are closed on Sundays. The game is Sunday, tomorrow?"
"I don't know." she turned to walk to the back
"Imagine how much better it would feel to know you are cheering me on." sighing he picked his bag and order, "Well, I hope you come um?"
"Hinata," she smiled unsuredly at the dirty rag.
"See you Hinata." was the last thing she heard before the sound of the bell signified his exit.
