AN: Apologies if my akatsuki is OC, I'm not well versed on them.
"Nice kill Itachi!" Kisame, the setter, patted him on the back as the game went on.
He always played his best, nothing less was to be expected of him. Yet today, he was slightly distracted. She had neither accepted nor declined, yet the absence bit at him more than he had expected it to. "Nice receive, Sasori." Kisame yelled again, breaking Itachi's thoughts just in time to strike the ball, ending the first set with a win for Akatsuki.
"That was my chance for art un!" Deidara whined as the crowd cheered, shaking the auditorium.
"Whatever," he began to walk away leaving an aggravated Deidara.
As he headed towards the bathroom there she stood, coming into the hall. Her usually tied locs bounced freely behind her curating an air of ease about her. Stunned, he stared, her face heating up uncomfortably . "Oy Itachi, the second set is about to begin." Kisame bellowed from behind, causing Hinata to jump as the atmosphere eased up. .
Itachi, so that was his name.
"I'm glad you came." he ignored his teammate, letting a rare smile line his lips as he walked past her. She stood frozen in her steps, blush creeping up her neck. She hadn't intended to come but Gaara wasn't home again and instead of wallowing in pity, she remembered the invitation. Shuffling through the bleachers, she seated herself at where the Akatsuki fans were. Women on both ends began to squeal as Itachi ran unto the court and she realized just how handsome he looked. She never noticed. He took his stance as they began and she was mesmerized. Sports had never been a thing for her, but when he played, she fell into an astonished trance.
