Chapter 16

Ginger Milk Tea

His body sought the smell of her, the feel of her under his finger tips. Walking, hypnotized by her, the woman that had enamored him as soon as he laid eyes on her. He kept returning, each time hoping her facade would fall apart and she'd showcase a trait he'd hate. Yet, she hadn't. From her closing up her dream, to roaming the red light district for help, he couldn't hate her, he instead fell much deeper.

Hinata squealed in surprise as his arms wrapped possessively around her, his nose burying deep into her neck. "I-Itachi?"

"Go out with me," he whispered, lazily marking her skin with his lips. She shuddered under his touch, long starved of any form of affection.

"I d-don't know." she shook her head, dropping the ladle she held in the simmering pot. Turning, she finally got a good look at his eyes. Dark, coal, orbits, stared intently into her moonlike pearls. She danced in their fierceness, drowning, yet held her up to safety as a rock. She drew closer to him, every second, closing the gap that separated them. A sharp ache led to a flinch of his face, breaking the intimacy and he cursed under his breath.

"You're not as perfect as you like to look." she smiled, tracing his face with her fingers, Itachi leaned into her touch, eyes closing to savor her. Placing a soft kiss on his cheek, the feeling searing into his skin, she turned, to serve him the espresso shot and a bowl of haejangguk.
