AN: This will be the last chapter before we make a big time jump. In this chapter we will touch base on the movie.
Chapter 18
TORI
The whole family sat around the dining room table, including Janice, and we ate and talked about the upcoming movie and how Tiffany handled Brian. We talked about how this was going to change our lives, and Beck asked Cat to join the cast. She said she would think about it. After we all ate and talked for a bit, we moved to the living room to finish our conversation.
"Now that Beck is back, we are going to start looking for our own place soon," Trina told us as she sat with little David on her lap.
"You know, you don't have to rush out, but I do agree it is time for you to start looking. Just don't make it too far away. I want to have my grandbaby close," Mom said, smiling at Little David as he looked around at all of us.
"I really don't think we will be able to move right away. I did get a lot of money from The Walking Dead, but until we start this movie that money is all we have. And moving out right now would just not be a good idea. I just don't feel comfortable moving my family into what could turn into the poor house," Beck said. He was looking at Dad and smiled when he received an approving nod from him.
"I know that you want to wait, and I do agree, but I would like to keep an eye out for when we can move," Trina said.
"After all the talks that Dad and I have had over the time I have been gone, I can say that I feel comfortable staying where we are and save more money. Not jumping in head first right out of the gate is my way of doing right by my family," Beck said, taking a drink of his coffee.
"Is there any other idioms you want to add?" Jade asked, smirking at Beck.
"No, but I would like to add that you're a smart ass," he returned with a matching smirk back.
"Okay kids, that enough," Mom said, laughing at Jade's comeback. "I, for one, am happy that you are not going anywhere."
"I second that. I like that you are not running off to Georgia," I said, scooping up my coffee cup and walking out of the room. I walked into the kitchen and was refilling the coffee maker when I felt arms around my waist. I smiled and turned in them to be face to face with my beautiful wife. "So what brings you in here?" I asked, kissing her cheek.
"You…and an idea," she said, pulling me closer. I abandoned my mug on the counter and dug my fingers gently into her back.
"And what is your idea?"
"Well…" She started to kiss my neck. "I was thinking about something, and just had to come tell you." Jade started to run her hands down to my hips and pulling my hips into her.
"Well, I think we need to wait on this idea until everyone leaves," I said, rolling my hips into her.
Jade pulled away from me and looked me in the eyes. "Tori my love, how do you feel about asking the others to move in with us?" Jade said, trying to give me puppy dog eyes and failing. She looked like she was trying not to shit herself. I give her a slow grin.
"So you come in here and feel me up to get me to say yes to your idea?" I asked, putting my hands on my hips. "So every time you want something, you're going to feel me up?" I asked smiling.
"Did it work?"
"Could have…maybe you need to ask me again. Want it a little harder," I said, pulling her back into me. We start to kiss and it is just starting to get hot when we heard someone start to talk.
"Don't mind me, just getting some more coffee," Sam said, walking past us to the coffee pot I had just filled. "I like to get some kitchen action too, and I know Cat loves it as well."
"And now the mood is gone." Jade pulled away from me and glared at Sam. "There are just some things you just can't un-hear or un-know." Jade shook her head like she could make what she heard fall out of her ears.
"I think it's a wonderful idea," I said, laughing at Jade as she turned to me with a look of fear on her face. "Your idea dear, not that our sisters like to fuck in the kitchen."
"I don't think I will ever get used to you cussing, but it is nice to see you can. Cat sounds like she is having a stroke when she cusses. Well, not in bed. There she is like a sailor," Sam said pouring another cup of coffee. I rattled my empty cup at her and she poured me another dose of the hot liquid as well.
"No, no, no…make it stop," Jade said, trying to get around both me and Sam, but getting nowhere. Sam and I moved subtly around to keep Jade trapped.
Sam looked at me with a devilish look, then turned back to Jade. "Oh yes. She is loud and very boisterous. Oh, and the way she moves. To look at her, you would never believe she was such a freak in the sack," Sam purred, a faraway content look on her face.
"Sam stop. I can't hear this. It's freaking me out. I will never look at Cat the same way again," Jade said, covering her ears.
"What can I say? You turn me into an animal," Cat drawled from the doorway. She drug her fingers along Sam's shoulder as she also reached for the coffee pot for a refill.
"No, no, no! Please, this isn't happening!" Jade yelled, pushing past us and running out of the room. We all laughed at my very freaked out and fleeing wife. We left the kitchen shortly after Jade and found her sitting on the couch, holding Little David. I watched from the doorway as Jade sang softly and lightly rocked the baby in her arms. I smiled at the sight and the feeling that she is going to make a great mother. I looked over to Beck and Trina, and they both watched Jade as she rocked their child.
I often wonder if Beck ever thought of having children with Jade when they were together, but I let the thought slide away as I watch my sister and her husband cuddle together. I know now that if there were any thoughts of children with Jade, that idea is safely buried in the past. We sat and talked a little longer, then Mom and Dad took Robin and Little David home. Jade helped me clean up and again, we were in the kitchen talking about asking the others to move in with us.
"Jade, are you sure this is what you want? I mean, you were so happy about moving here and having our own place. I just don't want you to start feeling like you made a mistake, asking them to move in." I told her while we washed the dishes.
"No, Tori. I'm sure. I just don't like the idea that we all would be scattered around Hollywood when we have a big enough place right here. And it is big enough that if we want to be alone, then we can," Jade said, handing me the last coffee cup.
"I guess you're right. I do want them to be close, don't get me wrong, but I would also like to have my house to be with you only. Call me selfish, I just want to be with you and not my whole family. I mean, isn't that why we moved out of Mom and Dad's place?"
"Yes it is, but you have to see the difference here, babe. At Mom and Dad's, we were in a four-bedroom house with five people, but here we have three separate six bedroom houses, and that is a lot of space in between us and them," Jade said, taking me into her arms. "We can have our house here, and Trina and Beck can have one, and so can Sam and Cat. Plus, every house has, at the most, two to three-bedroom guest houses. We have the room and the space you crave."
"Okay. I see your point and you win. Do you want to talk to them tonight about this?" I asked, and Jade shook her head no. "Okay well, that was a turn I wasn't expecting. First you tell me you want to move them in here and get me to agree, but then you don't want to tell them. What gives?" I ask, looking into my wife's eyes, hoping to understand what is going on in her head. "Do you want them to read our minds? Because I really don't think we'll get very far with Trina," I pushed her to answer me and got nothing but a smirk. "Well, I think we should get out there before Sam comes back in here. She might tell us more about their sex life," I said, before I kissed her lightly.
"Fuck that. Let's go," Jade says, pulling me into the living room. That, I get an answer to. I ask about moving our family in here and nothing. Talk about Sam and Cat's sex life and I get an answer. My life is a wonder.
"Hey. I was just about to come look for you," Sam said, smirking at us. I could feel and see Jade shudder.
I didn't know what Jade wanted to do from this point, so instead of standing there looking like a complete idiot, I would test the waters and see if anyone would even want to move in here. All I did was ask Beck and Trina if they talked about moving. I mean, isn't that what we were just talking about just a few minutes ago in the kitchen? Yes, Jade said she didn't want to ask them to move in tonight, but she didn't say anything about not finding out if it was something these people wanted to do in the first place. Couldn't hurt to find out, right? No, I was wrong. Oh so very wrong. The elephant man was more right than I was. Charles Manson was more right than I was at this point. And Jade stood up and grabbed my arm and pulled me into the hallway. "What is your problem?" I asked her as she pinned me to the wall.
"I told you I didn't want to ask them to move in tonight," Jade hissed close to my ear.
"I know, and I didn't ask anyone, I just wanted to know if Trina and Beck had started looking for a new place. They were talking about it earlier," I said, trying to get away from her.
"And now with your big mouth they will know we are thinking about letting them move in."
"How?" I stopped fighting and looked at her trying to see if she has lost her mind. I mean, I can hear that she has, but I wanted to look in her eyes and see if she was truly believing what she was saying, or if she had flipped her lid.
"You asked if they started looking for a place, and we are talking about asking them move in…it's in the air now so they will know. They can taste it in the air," Jade said, looking all around us like she was watching the air or something.
"Right…the air…babe, you have had a long day and you're going nuts," I tell her, taking her into my arms and hugging her close and hoping that she is just tired and she wasn't going to wake up mad as a bag of ferrets tomorrow. That's all we need just days before we start the movie. Jade doing an Anya around bunnies impression. I pull her away from me and she has this sick crazy smirk on her face, but I think I can pull it off if she just keeps her mouth shut long enough for me to kick these people out. I do love Jade, but man if she isn't a lot of work sometimes.
We walk back into the living room and I tell everyone that it has been a long day and we should call it a night. We were walking to the door and everything was going fine until Cat asked Jade how she was doing. "The air doesn't taste right," Jade told her and I started to look around for a hole to crawl into.
"Oh, sorry. Dinner was good, but not all good things can stay in one place," Sam said while holding her stomach, making all of us look at her. And I for one wanted to kiss this lovely, disgusting, vile creature that stood before me. Little did she know, she saved me from having to explain to everyone what was going on and then fight with Jade, tonight. If she even has a clue what was going on in front out her right now. I look around and find her asleep against the doorway. This girl is too much work, but I love her.
