My mind anxiously tried to picture the possible outcome of me actually informing Masen that I was about to have his baby, but how could I just spring something on him like that? He'll probably hate my guts and think I am trying to trap him or something. I can't do that to him. I won't.

Nobody should be forced to care for somebody because of a mistake. I won't let my little nugget feel anything but love. I'll love them so much for both of us.

A soft tap on the custard yellow-colored door pulled me out of my erratic thoughts.

"Come in," I muttered, blinking away the tears I hadn't realized were there.

"Isabella! I hear you had a dizzy spell earlier. How are you feeling now?" George asked as he peeked his head into the room.

I blinked at him, before realizing that if I didn't answer both George and Regina would worry and make me go to the emergency room, and I couldn't be admitted, especially if Alice was going to have the baby today. It just couldn't happen.

"I feel much better now," I replied, quietly.

He frowned as he fully walked into the exam room with a clipboard. Spare change within his pocket jingling as he did so, "Bella, have you been having any headaches, pain in your stomach, or shortness of breath lately?" He asked as he gestured for me to sit on the exam table.

"No, no, and no. Just the normal exhaustion, and the occasional bout of nausea but everything else seems to be alright." I reply as I set my bag down on the chair before slowly climbing up onto the examination table.

George helps me lay back, before he prods my stomach, causing the many to kick back painfully, and then smiles before turning towards the doppler.

He slowly squeezes the gel over my stomach and begins to check the baby's measurements. Noting they are perfect for gestation length.

"Do you want to know the sex of the baby?" He asked me quietly.

I chew on my bottom lip slowly before nodding in response as my pulse begins to quicken.

"Alright, well let's see if the little tyke will let us see today. I think they will." He responds, moving his hand a little lower on my stomach as he pressed a few buttons, taking notes.

After a few moments, I watched a smile appear on George's face before he turned towards me. "Congratulations Isabella. It looks like we were right along, you are going to have a beautiful baby boy.." He said, smiling widely at me.

A boy? I couldn't believe it. I was going to have a beautiful little boy.

Tears blurred my vision as I stared at the grainy image of my son sucking his little fist into his mouth.

His big eyes opening and closing as we stared silently at him. My handsome little prince.

George silently handed me a few paper towels before helping me sit up, before handing me a few pictures, before leaving the room to allow me some time to myself.

After I pull the belly strap back over my protruding stomach, before readjusting my undershirt and sweater. Then I smiled at the pictures, before neatly sliding them into the back pocket of my bag and exiting the door.

Rachael, another nurse, smiled as she saw me silently gesturing for me to follow her towards the lab. When we walk into the lab she hands me a white plastic cup, with my name written on it, and points to the bathroom.

When I return she takes the cup, before washing her hands and gesturing toward the chair.

Once the blood is extracted, Regina walks into the room.

"How are you feeling, dear?" She asks me softly.

"Fine now, thanks," I replied.

"I need you to come back in two weeks." She says, giving me the appointment card, and patting my stomach with a smile.

"Thank you, I will," I replied as I lifted my bag and made my way back towards the lobby.

Esme and Masen were still sitting in the lobby as I walked out. I smiled tightly at them as I grabbed my coat, and slid it on.

"Bella, dear, I believe there is something we all need to talk about…" Esme said, standing up and walking over to me.

"Oh? And what might that be?" I asked as I adjusted my coat.

"About you and my son Edward." She simply said.

I turned to look at him, silently asking him if she knew, only for him to nod quickly in response. I sighed, "Well, seeing as he must have told you what happened. There is hardly anything to discuss." I replied shortly.

He looked at me shocked as I started back, expressionless. "Bella, please." He said, silently begging me.

"Masen, or Edward. Whatever your name is. It's been six, almost seven months… you never cared about it then… so, why do you care now? Is it because your mother found out?" I asked, lifting an eyebrow at him.

"I didn't know, okay? I went for my morning jog and when I came back you were gone. You didn't leave anyway or form to contact you. How the heck was I supposed to know?!" He inquired, aggravated. His eyes penetrating mine.

"Oh please!" I scoffed, rolling my eyes hard at him. "Look, it was nice to see you again. But I have to go. My friend Alice is in the hospital in labor. I'll talk to you soon." I said, looking towards Esme as she stared wide-eyed at me.

Before either of them could respond, I left the office and got on the elevator. I quickly walked out of the building's lobby, and towards the parking lot.

I could feel my pulse race as I made my way back to my car, and got in. Hands still shaking as I realized that he knew.

Oh God, this changed everything. Jasper had warned me this would happen, but I didn't listen, now it seemed I was eating my own words as the reality and gravity of the situation hit me.

As I backed out and left the parking lot, I saw Esme and Edward emerge from the building, looking around frantically.

My hands tightened around the steering wheel as I passed them in front of them, my stomach churning as my nerves shot up another level, as I slowly made my way towards the hospital.

Fighting tears the entire way.
