This story takes place right after Breaking Dawn, but there was no imprint on Renesmee. All the events remain the same, and after they fought the Volturi the Cullens moved to Canada.

Chapter 9: Emily's Place

Alex's POV:

We pick up the twins and head over to a small house that has a porch in the front.

We walked into the house. Jacob told the twins to go do there homework in the spare bedroom down the hallway. Then, Emily came up to me, "I'm glad to see you again Alexa, how was school?"

"It was great. I mean small town, so lots of staring and whispers, but I like going to school, so I don't mind the whispers and looks that much." I responded.

"Yeah, its a small town and even smaller school. New people excite people." She said.

"Yeah, I figured, but the guys showed me around and most everyone was pretty nice, so I would say a pretty good first day overall." I said.

"What do you mean by 'most everyone'" Seth asked. I did not even realize he was in the room, but now he was staring at me intensely.

"Oh um...some girl named Rylee wasn't exactly pleasant, but I don't really care. I stopped letting people like her get to me like three years ago."

"What did she say?" He asked, still staring.

"It really doesn't matter, just seemed like some jealous bitch."

"Ok" He responded, but I could tell he was still bothered.

At this point I was sitting at the kitchen table, eating a muffin, working on my math homework. Jacob and Seth were at the table too. Seth was doing history work, and Jacob was doing work for math too.

"Oh, hey Lex, I meant to ask you earlier, why do you wear that necklace?" Seth asked pointing to the 'LR' necklace around my neck.

"Oh yeah I was curious too. I saw you wearing it at my house yesterday." Jacob comments along with Seth.

I didn't really know what to say. "Oh...um...I just like it I guess." I decided to change the subject. "Hey Jake on the way back to my house can we stop by yours, I need to see if Billy can watch the twins after school tomorrow?"

"Oh sure, I'm sure he won't mind, but you can ask to double check." Jake responded. "Wait, where are you gonna be?"

"Oh... I'm heading up to Seattle. I won't be back to late and figured it would be better if the twins stayed there tomorrow afternoon and night."

"Why are you going to Seattle." Seth asked.

I made up a lie quickly: "Picking up something for uh class."

"What are you picking up?" Seth asked.

Stupid nosy teenage boy that is super cute. "Um just something for dance."

"And you are going to be back late?" Seth asked, I could tell he did not believe me.

"Yep"

"You know Seattle is dangerous for someone like you to walk around in all alone." He commented.

I rolled my eyes, "Someone like me?"

"Oh...um...uh...just your really beautiful and pretty, and cities are dangerous and full of criminals."

I blushed and rolled my eyes again. "Seth" He was still staring at me intensely, "I used to live in L.A. I can handle myself in a city"

"I agree with Seth, you should let one of us go with you." Jacob said.

"No!" Great now I have to deal with a cute, nosy teenage boy, and an over protective cousin. "Its just I can handle myself and don't need someone to go with me. That's final!"

"Fine, but you better call me when you get there and are on your way home." Jacob said.

"Oh my gosh! I can handle myself. I don't need to check in with anyone. As long as Billy is ok with it, I will drop the twins there after school tomorrow, and then I'll pick them up from school Thursday."

I heard Jacob mumble some words under his breath. "Fine, but if you get hurt I swear -"

"Jake, I'll be fine."

I decided I had enough dealing with those two and decided to go sit in the living room. I watched Paul beat Jared in some video game while Emily sat with Sam on the couch.

"Hey Alex!" Jared called from where he was, his eyes still glued to the TV.

"Hey Jared"

"Decide you were bored of hanging with those two idiots."

"Yes"

"What did they do?" He asked.

"Just being extremely over protective."

"How?" This time it was Sam who asked.

"The idiots don't think I can handle myself in Seattle. I used to live in L.A. I know how to handle myself in a city."

"They are right Seattle is dangerous" Sam said.

I groaned, "Uggghhh, not you too. I just needed Billy to let the twins crash there tomorrow, not a whole lecture on the dangers of Seattle."

"What are you even going to Seattle for?" Jared asked.

"You guys are just as bad as them. I am picking something up for dance class. Discussion ended. No more questions."

"Fine" He grumbled.

About an hour later, we ate dinner. Afterwards Jake drove the twins and I to his house. After asking a few questions, Uncle Billy said he would be happy to watch the twins and have Jake drop them off at school Thursday.
