Inoichi was frustrated. Minato had asked him to do a casual, unnoticed scan of Haruno's mind, the briefest of dips into her psyche that would only register her immediate thoughts, but he'd come up empty. He'd even had one of his cousins try, who was better at this branch of their clan ability than he was, but Kisho hadn't had any success either. Haruno seemed to have a natural ability to block their own. He sighed in frustration at what this could possibly mean.
"Minato's not going to like this," he muttered as he walked down the hall to the Hokage office.
