A/N: Here it is. After about 7 months, the final chapter of this story is here. Once again, I'm sorry that it took so long to finish despite there not being that many chapters. Lack of interest for writing stories. Anyway, without further ado, here is the final chapter of The Lion King 2 – A Second Chance.
Chapter 14 – The End
"Kopa?!" Utamu said in disbelief. "But how, you're supposed to be dead?!" Kushinga asked. "I know you have a lot of questions for me to answer right now, but I really need to go. I promise I will come back and explain everything." Kopa replied. He turned around and sprinted off into the horizon, leaving the two white lions gobsmacked. Kenji emerged from the cave just in time to see Kopa run off. ""Where's Tojo going?" Kenji asked. Kushinga stared at the shrinking outline of Kopa in the distance before looking down at his son. "He's going home, son."
Zira and the tigers had been on the move for about 2 hours now. It was raining heavily, and it was getting windy. One of the tigers was getting fed up with battling the weather and wanted to stop and rest for the night. "Zira, Maoz. Can we please stop? The weather is becoming unbearable!" The tiger roared. Zira turned around, facing the streak behind her. "Are you mad?! We must keep going for another few miles before we can stop if we want to make it to the Pridelands on time!" Zira replied. She turned back and continued walking alongside Maoz. "I'll be honest, Zira. This is becoming quite challenging." The tiger leader said. "I know." Zira replied. "But we need to keep moving."
Kopa ran as fast as he could through the grassy plains. He left Ardhi ya Usalama almost an hour ago. He knew that he was getting close to the Pridelands.
Kiara lay down in the grass. The rain had stopped earlier, and the clouds had lifted. She stared up into the sky. Kovu flopped down beside her. He wrapped one arm around Kiara's body and pulled her in close to him. "This is nice." She whispered. Kovu chuckled in response. The two young lions lay in that position for a while before movement could be heard in the long grass beside them. Kovu's head jerked upwards. "Kovu, what is it?" Kiara asked. "Someone is here." He replied. He let go of Kiara and slowly got up. He could see the grass move in front of him. "Show yourself!" Kovu demanded. The creature emerged from the long grass. Kovu and Kiara gasped. "Who are you?!" Kovu demanded once more. "I mean no trouble." The creature replied. "I bring you a message. But first, I am Kopa. Prince of the Pridelands." Kopa added. Kiara's jaw dropped. She got up and slowly walked towards him. "My brother is dead." She said. "I'm not." Kopa replied. A smile then crept up his face. "Which one of my sister's are you?" he asked. Kiara hesitated. "i-I'm Kiara." She answered. Kopa smiled ear to ear. "How do I know if you're my brother or not?" Kiara asked. "Well, I mean, the clue is on my back." Kopa replied. He turned to his side, letting his sister examine his scarred back. "Great kings…" she whispered. "Show me your eyes!" she demanded. Kopa turned, looking deep into his sister's eyes. Kiara began to smile. "They're scarlet. Just like dad's!" she screamed. "It is you!"
Zazu sat in Rafiki's tree, looking at the 3 lions in the distance. "Rafiki, who's that lion with Kovu and Kiara?" the horned bill asked. Rafiki crawled the edge of a branch to get a closer look at the lions. "It looks like an intruder!" the mandrill exclaimed. "I'll go get Simba!" Zazu replied. He flew to Pride Rock, where the huntresses were just about to leave for their hunt. "Good luck, girls." Simba said. "Sire! Sire!" Zazu screamed. "Zazu? What's wrong?!" Simba asked in fear. "There's a rogue lion at the border, and he's with Kovu and Kiara!" Zazu exclaimed. "What?!" Simba cried. "Huntresses, your hunt will have to wait! Nala, huntresses, follow me!" he added as he sprinted towards the border where the 3 young lions were.
"Kopa, why are you here?! You're supposed to be dead!" Kiara cried. "I'm here to see dad, it's an emergency." Kopa replied. "Well, if you wanna see dad then lets go!" Kiara beamed. "Don't move, rogue!" Simba roared. "Kiara, Kovu! Get away from him!" the king added. "Dad, you don't understand! He's not a rogue, he's your son!" Kiara replied. Simba's eyes widened. "He's not my son. My son was murdered." Simba said. "Kopa, show him your back, and your eyes!" Kiara cried. Kopa stared at his father for a moment, before turning to his side once more to show the king his scar. Simba walked closer to get a better look. His eyes widened even more. "Wait! Show me your eyes." Simba requested. Kopa smiled and looked into Simba's scarlet eyes. Tears formed in Simba's eyes. His son was back from the dead. His son was home. Finally.
"k-Kopa." Simba choked. "I'm home dad." Kopa replied. Simba pulled his son into a hug. "Kopa!" Nala cried. She joined Simba and Kopa in their hug. "How? How are you here?!" Nala asked. "Grandpa Mufasa brought me back to life… on that day. But Grandma Sarabi is the reason I'm back here." Kopa explained. "She told me that the Pridelands were in danger. That Zira was coming with a streak of tigers. But, there's nobody here." He added. "Maybe.." Kiara began. "Maybe she just said that to bring you back home." "That could be true." Simba replied. "But, just to be sure, I'm going to go patrol the border for a while. Huntresses, can you come with me just incase?" he added. The 5 huntresses nodded and followed Simba. "Where's Vitani?" Kopa asked. "Great Kings!" Kiara exclaimed. "Vitani is going to be over the moon to see you!" she added. "I bet." Kopa chuckled. "Well, what are we waiting for? Come on!"
The cave was quiet. It was just Chuma, Vitani, the two other princesses and a few other lionesses. Vitani could hear the noise of something sprinting towards Pride Rock. She stood up suddenly, which startled her father. "Vitani? What's wrong?" he asked. "Someone's coming." She replied. She looked outside the cave and could see her brother, Kiara, Nala, and a strange lion. The 4 lions stopped outside Pride Rock. "Vitani!" Kovu roared. "Guess who we found!" he added. Kopa walked out in front of the other 3 lions and walked up to the cave. He stood in front of Vitani. The young lioness recognised this lion that was standing in front of her. "Vitani.." Kopa whispered. A smile grew on the young lioness's face. "Kopa!" she cried. She buried her face into his growing mane and kept it there for a few minutes. "I don't believe it! He's alive!" Chuma cheered. Zuri and Tiifu rushed out of the cave to see what the commotion was about. "What's going on out here? And who is this?" Tiifu asked, looking at Kopa. Nala walked up to Tiifu. "Honey, it's your brother. He's home." Tiifu's head tilted and she went closer to Kopa. "Look at his eye's Tiifu! They're the same colour as dad's, like he told us before!" Kiara cried. Tiifu did as she was told and stared into her brother's scarlet-coloured orbs. "Oh, it is you." Tiifu smiled. "It's good to finally see all three of my sister's. My, you three have grown." Kopa chuckled.
After a quick reunion it was now pitch-black outside, and Simba had returned from patrolling the border. "Did you find anything?" Kopa asked as he stood outside the cave. Simba shook his head. "Nope. I'm starting to think that maybe Kiara was right about the reason you came home." Simba chuckled. "I don't know, dad. She looked really worried." Kopa replied. Simba's smile faded. "If you think so, then I can stay out tonight and keep a look out." Simba said. "Are you sure? Who will do the morning patrol tomorrow, you're gonna have to get some sleep." Kopa replied. "Don't worry about that. Now, come on in. I want to know where you were for the last year." Simba said.
The royal family were all gathered around in a circle. Simba and Kopa joined them. "So, Kopa. Where were you all this time?" Simba quizzed. Kopa hesitated. "I was in Ardhi ya Usalama." Simba looked at his son in disbelief. "You were with Utamu and Kushinga all this time!?" Simba roared. "You could have come home to your grandmother's funeral yesterday!" he added angrily. "I know I could and I'm sorry!" Kopa cried. Vitani put her paw on his shoulder for comfort. "I just didn't think I would ever be able to come back after the grief I put you all through." Simba smiled sadly. "Kopa, we never stopped loving you, and no matter how much grief you could put us through, we would still love you and want you in our lives." Simba replied. "Thanks dad." Kopa sniffed.
The huntresses finally left to go hunt, even though it was about 10pm. Surely there would be a zebra or antelope still up and about. Kopa was sitting at the edge of Pride Rock looking up at the stars. "Grandma Sarabi, I'm confused." Kopa said. He didn't expect any response. And there wasn't. But he kept on talking anyway. "You looked so worried earlier, either Zira actually is coming to attack but is still far away, or you are one great actress." He chuckled. "What's so funny?" Kopa turned to see his father walking up behind him. He sat down beside the teenage lion. "Nothing. I'm just talking to the stars. That's all." Kopa replied. "Are you still gonna stay on patrol tonight? If you want, we can do it in shifts?" Kopa offered. "No need. It's alright." Simba replied. "You're a growing lion, son. Your sleep is more important than mine." He added. Kopa nodded. The two sat admiring the stars for a moment before Kopa broke the silence once more. "I told Utamu and Kushinga that I would go back there one day and explain everything to them." Kopa said. Simba looked at his son. "I became close with their son, Kenji. We're best friends, and I didn't even get to say goodbye to him." Kopa added while dipping his head in sadness. "Hey, you can go back there whenever you like, you know that?" Simba said. Kopa's head lifted. "I can?!" Kopa beamed. Simba nodded.
"Simba?" a voice asked from behind. Simba turned to see who called him. "You alright, Vitani?" he replied. "I was wondering if I could spend some time with Kopa, alone?" she asked timidly. Simba raised his eyebrows up and down in an intimate manner at Kopa. "Dad, really.." Kopa said, which earned a light chuckle from his father. "I'm joking, go on Vitani. He's yours for the night." Vitani smiled and signalled for Kopa to follow her.
The two adolescent lions walked in silence through the Pridelands for a while, and occasionally, Kopa caught Vitani looking at his now muscular body. "Like what you see?" Kopa joked. "I do. You look really different, Kopa." Vitani replied. "Thanks. You look different too." Kopa replied. Vitani chuckled. "In a good way or a bad way?" Vitani smiled. "Oh, in a horrible way. Dear kings, who was I in a relationship with." Kopa joked once more. Vitani growled playfully and pounced on Kopa, sending him to the ground. Vitani landed on top of him. "Who said we stopped being in a relationship, hm?" Vitani smirked. "Well, I had disappeared for a whole year, not to mention getting murdered." Kopa joked. "I'm kidding. Like you said when we were cubs, on the day you became my mate, you really are the most beautiful lioness in the Pridelands. I think you've got such a good sense of humour, not to mention that you're strong too." Kopa added. Vitani smiled and lay her head down on Kopa's chest. "Tell me, big boy. Did you learn anything new or exciting while you were gone?" Vitani asked mischieviously. "What naughty thing are you thinking of?" Kopa chuckled. "Wanna find out?" Vitani offered. Kopa smirked.
THE NEXT DAY:
It was noon the next day. Kopa and Vitani spent most of the night out having their, *Playtime*. Vitani lay in the cave sleeping beside Kopa, who lay awake, thinking about what had happened last night. Zuri looked at her older brother and walked over to him.
"Hey." She whispered. Kopa looked up at his youngest sister and smiled back at her. "Hey." He whispered back. "Can I talk to you, outside?" Zuri asked, still whispering. "Sure." Kopa replied. He gently got up off of the dusty ground, without waking Vitani up. He followed Zuri out of the cave. They walked down Pride Rock and started walking through the Pridelands. Zuri stopped and looked up at her older brother, smiling at him.
"I'm happy you're home." She admitted. "It's good to be home." Kopa replied. Zuri's smile faded. "Listen, um, a few months ago, me and our sisters, we did something pretty stupid." Zuri began. Kopa tilted his head. "Where are you going with this?" Kopa asked. "Me, our sisters, and our friends, which are now our mates, we went to the Elephant Graveyard, and um, we met Zira." Zuri added. "What!?" Kopa cried. "What happened?!" "She tried to kill us." Zuri replied. Kopa growled in anger. "I hope she is still alive. First she kills me, then tries to kill my sisters. She's gonna pay." Kopa threatened. "After that ordeal, Mom and Dad told us about you. I was so mad. I thought I was going to live without a brother. I promised that I would find her one day and kill her." Zuri replied. "What if Grandma was right?" Kopa asked in fear. "What if she really is still out there, and is coming to kill us." He added. "She won't if she knows what's good for her." Zuri chuckled. Kopa chuckled along with her but then stopped. "I would've loved to have grown up with you three, you know that?" he said. "Well, we are still growing. And you are home now. That's all that matters." Zuri said, while pressing her forehead against his. "Now, I just wonder what you and Vitani were up to last night." Zuri joked. "You really don't want to know." Kopa chuckled.
Zira and the tigers were closing in on the Pridelands. It turns out that there was a shortcut that Zira didn't know about, so they went that way. They would be in the Pridelands before the sun goes down.
4 Hours Later:
The day was starting to come to an end. The sky was becoming pink. Kopa sat at the top of Pride Rock, overlooking the Pridelands. "Mind if I join?" a voice asked from behind. Kopa turned to see his eldest sister standing behind him. "Be my guest, Kiara." He replied. Kiara sat beside her brother and looked at the sun falling in the sky. "I guess you're gonna be the one ruling these lands now." Kopa said sadly. Kiara looked up at her brother and saw the sadness in his eyes. "Actually, I decided that I don't want to be queen." Kiara admitted. Kopa looked at his sister in shock. "You don't?!" he asked. "I don't. I think it's only fair that you should be king. You are the oldest after all." Kiara grinned. Kopa smiled at her. "Are you really sure?" he asked. "Positive, and after everything you've been through, I think you deserve it." She replied. Kopa hugged her. "Thank you." He whispered. "I think you made a good choice, Kiara." Simba said. Kopa and Kiara looked up at their father, who stood a few feet away from the siblings. "When should we announce the news?" Simba asked. "I'll tell Vitani. I think she is gonna be so happy." Kopa replied. "We will do it at sundown." He added. Simba nodded. "Sire! Sire!" Zazu cried. "Zazu!? What's wrong?" Simba asked. "Kopa, he was right! Zira is here! And she's brought 10 tigers with her!" The horned bill added. Kopa went pale. "Tigers are much stronger than us lions, we don't have enough lions and lionesses to fight!" Simba cried. "I know what to do." Kopa said. "I need to go, but trust me, I will be back as fast as I can!" Kopa added as he sprinted down Pride Rock. "Zazu, I will assemble everyone. I want you to find Zira and tell her to meet us at the Winding River Falls. This ends tonight." Simba instructed. "Yes sire!" Zazu replied. "Kiara, come on!" Simba cried. The two ran down Pride Rock and sprinted into the cave. "Everyone, stop what you are doing!" Kiara cried. "Zira is here! Kopa was right. I want everyone to follow me, because we are gonna need all the help we can get." Simba replied.
Zira and Maoz stopped at the border of the Pridelands. "Home sweet home." Maoz taunted. "What's that in the sky?" One of the tigers pointed out. Zira looked up and could see Zazu flying down towards them. He crashed to the floor, shaking in fear at what stood in front of him. "King Simba wants to meet you all at the Winding River Falls." Zazu said. "Very well." Zira replied. "And by the way, that will be the last time you will call Simba that." She added. Zazu gulped and flew off.
The were 11 lions in Simba's pride. They stopped by the edge of the falls. Simba looked down. Tiifu stood beside him. "You okay, dad?" she asked. "Pretty high up." Simba replied. The pride of lions anxiously waited for the streak to arrive. Simba looked to his right and could see something coming towards them slowly in the distance. "Look to your right everyone." Simba warned. The lions stood there, waiting. Eventually, the lions could make out that it was the streak of tigers. Simba growled and took a step in front of his pride.
"You aren't welcome here tigers. Especially you, Zira." Simba growled. "It's best you go home, before things get significantly worse." The king added. Zira chuckled at the king's threat. "I am home. We are home." Zira threatened back. "I hope you and your family have enjoyed your time here, because I am going to kill every single one of you, with the help of my army." Zira added. "Looks like she's not standing down." Tiifu said. Simba growled viciously. "No mercy, for any of them." The king whispered. "Pridelanders, ATTACK!" the king roared. Simba charged Zira and the tigers, with his pride following him. Zira and Maoz sat down, watching the battle unfold. "When I see Simba getting tired, I'm going in for the kill." Zira said. Maoz nodded. "I look forward to ruling these lands with you." Maoz replied. Zira rolled her eyes.
Simba leapt onto one of the tigers and bit their ear. The tiger however, fought back. It clawed at Simba's back and managed to kick Simba off of him. The tiger then pounced onto Simba, pinning him to the floor. The three princesses all fought one tiger. Kiara slashed its eye, which the tiger gave out a painful roar. Tiifu bit into it's left back-leg, which broke the bone almost instantly. Zuri pounced on the tiger and bit into it's neck, killing it instantly. "One down!" Zuri cheered. The tiger that was on Simba growled and started running towards the princesses. "No!" Simba cried. Just as the tiger was about to attack, a deafening roar could be heard. Zira looked in the direction of where the roar had come from. Simba stood up and smiled. "Yes!" Vitani cheered. Kopa stood proudly a few feet away from the fight. Beside him stood Utamu, Kenji, Kushinga and their pride. "Charge!" Kopa roared. Kopa and the white lions charged into battle. Zira became worried. "That's an extra seven lions. We're out numbered!" she cried. "Let's join them." Maoz replied. "Kopa is mine!" Zira declared before joining in on the ongoing battle.
Kopa fought well. All his training in Ardhi ya Usalama had paid off. He fought two tigers at once. He swiped at one's eye, blinding him. The other tried to climb onto Kopa's back, but the young lion dodged the tiger. Kopa was then blown across the ground. He was hit by a wave of dizziness. Zira cackled. "I never thought I'd see you again, little prince." Zira taunted. Kopa shivered in shock as he tried to get up. Zira then hit him across the face, knocking him to the floor once more. Zira stood over him. "I'm going to make sure your dead this time." She taunted before putting her paw down hard on his neck, choking him. Kopa coughed and gasped for air. "Get off him!" Zuri cried. She tackled Zira to the ground with a loud thump. Tiifu helped Zuri keep Zira pinned to the floor, while Kiara helped Kopa recover from his choking. "Remember me, Zira?" Zuri taunted. "You tried to kill me and my friends in the Elephant Graveyard." She added. Zira chuckled. "Doesn't matter, dear. Your whole family is going to die tonight." The evil lioness replied. Maoz smashed into the two young lionesses, freeing Zira. "Took you long enough." Zira complained.
"Where's dad?" Kopa asked. "I'm not sure." Kiara replied worriedly. Simba and Nala were being pinned to the floor by two tigers. Zira and Maoz sat back down at the edge of the cliff for a few moments to enjoy the battle. "Bring Simba to me!" Zira demanded. One tiger got off of Simba and Nala. He bit into Simba's ear and began dragging the king towards the edge of the falls, where Zira was waiting for him. Simba grunted as rocks were scratching off his pelt as he was being dragged. The tiger brought Simba to the very edge and let go of the king's ear. Simba was weak and could barely move. Zira stood up and walked over to him, cackling lightly. She stopped and looked down at him for a moment, before digging her claws into his right eye. Simba roared in pain. The lions and tigers stopped fighting to see what had happened. "Simba!" Nala cried. "Dad! No!" Kopa cried too. "Painful, is it?" Zira asked. Simba's breathing was staggered. "You can kill me if you want, but I can assure you, that you and the tigers will never rule the Pridelands." Simba replied. Zira scoffed. "You really think I want to rule the Pridelands with them? They're just here to assist me in taking you and your family down, and once you all are dead, they will be of no use to me." Zira explained. Unfortunately for her, she had forgotten who was standing behind her.
"Is that so, Zira?"Maoz asked angrily. Zira took her claws out of Simba's eye and turned to face the tiger leader. "Of course it is you idiot! Did you really think I was going to rule here with a tiger? You're even stupider than you look." Zira answered back. Maoz growled. "Simba, pridelanders, on behalf of me and my fellow tigers, we surrender." Maoz said. The lions gasped. Zira scoffed again. "You are going to regret that, lioness." Maoz taunted. Zira smiled evilly and crouched down, ready to pounce on Maoz. "Leave Zira." A weakened Simba said. Zira stood up and turned around to face the injured king. "You're banished from the Pridelands, you're banished from wherever the tigers came from, and now I hereby banish you from the Outlands." Simba said as he limped over to his family. "The tigers are probably going to kill you anyway." Simba added as he looked at Maoz. "Come on lions and lionesses. We're finished here." The king continued. The three princesses, Kopa and Nala walked ahead of Simba. Zira growled and leapt at Simba. Kopa turned. "DAD! BEHIND YOU!" Kopa screamed. Simba couldn't react quick enough and was pushed into the river, along with Zira. The two lions went over the falls and plummeted all the way down. One landed in the water, the other landed with a loud thud, with many bones broken, instantly killed, on the riverbank.
Kopa ran to the edge to see what happened. He could see a motionless figure laying at the edge of the riverbank, but could not yet make out who it was. "Someone didn't land in the water!" he cried. Zuri stood beside him. "Look! Someone is climbing out of the water!" Zuri replied. The royal family tried to make out who was climbing out of the water, until they saw that there was a maned lion on the floor by the riverbank. "NOO!" Kopa cried. There was a thin path which led to the bottom of the falls. Kopa sprinted down the path, followed by the rest of his family.
Once he reached the bottom, he could clearly see his father. He lay lifeless on the ground, only inches from the water. Kopa ran to his father. "No. Please, don't leave us." Kopa sobbed. "Dad!" Kiara cried. She buried her head into his mane. "No. Not you too!" Nala whispered as she lay down with her mate. Kopa put his paw on his father's chest. Vitani sat down beside Kopa and rested her head on his shoulder. "I'm so sorry." Vitani whispered. Tiifu and Zuri hugged each other, sobbing. The battle was over. Simba was dead.
Zira stood at the other side of the riverbank and smirked. She disappeared behind the waterfall.
Zazu and Rafiki both sat in their tree, anxiously praying for the battle to be over. "Rafiki! They're back!" Zazu cheered. Rafiki looked out into the distance and could see the lions returning to Pride Rock. "Who are dey carrying?" Rafiki asked. "Oh no.." Zazu replied. He flew off in panic to Pride Rock. He arrived at the same time as the lions did. "What happened?! Where's Simba?!" Zazu asked Kopa. The young lion sniffed and moved aside, showing Zazu that Simba was being carried home. "No…" Zazu cried. A tear rolled down Kopa's face as the lions lay Simba down on the ground beside Sarabi's grave. The stars had come out now, and Kopa walked behind Pride Rock and flopped down by a tree, staring into the sky.
Simba woke up. Everything was white. Like a cloud. He looked around, panting heavily. Suddenly, he heard a voice that he hadn't heard in years. "Simba.." the voice said. Simba slowly turned around and saw his father standing proudly in front of him. "d-Dad?" Simba choked. Mufasa laughed. Simba ran towards his father and hugged him. Mufasa chuckled. "I missed you too, my son." "I'm dead, aren't I?" Simba sniffed. Mufasa hesitated. "You are. I'm sorry son." Simba sighed sadly and looked at his father. "I didn't even get to say goodbye.." Simba sniffed. Mufasa began to walk away from his son. "Dad! Where are you going?!" Simba cried. Mufasa turned again to face his upset son. "Come, Simba. Come join me and your mother in the stars. It's time for you to become a Great King of The Past." Mufasa replied. Mufasa walked into the blinding light. Simba smiled sadly and followed his father, before he too, disappeared into the light.
Everyone gathered around Simba's grave and placed a flower on where he was laying. Kopa put a flower down on the grave. "Goodbye dad." Kopa whispered sadly.
2 WEEKS LATER:
It had been two weeks since Simba died. It was also the day of Kopa and Vitani's coronation. Vitani, Nala and the three princesses stood inside the cave, wondering where Kopa was. "Nala where is he?!" Vitani panicked. "I don't know!" Nala cried. Kiara smiled sadly. "It's alright." She replied. Nala and Vitani looked at the eldest princess. "I know where Kopa is." She added.
Kopa lay down at the Water Hole, looking at his reflection. He could hear Kiara walk up behind him, but did not react. "Hey, Mom and Vitani are looking for you." Kiara said. Kopa sighed. "You alright, Kopa?" she asked. Kopa turned around and looked sadly into his sister's eyes. The siblings hugged. "I thought that if I looked hard enough, that I might be able to see him." Kopa sniffed. Kiara sighed and broke the hug. She looked into her brother's teary scarlet eyes. "There's no need for you to do that, Kopa. Because he lives in you, and always will." Kiara replied as she put her paw on Kopa's chest. Kopa smiled. "Now come on. You should have been king by now if you hadn't wondered off." Kiara joked.
The two siblings arrived back at Pride Rock. Kopa and Vitani hugged and bowed down to Rafiki, who put the baobab juice on their foreheads. "Congratulations my king, and my queen. It is time." Rafiki grinned. Kopa and Vitani looked at each other before walking side by side to the edge of Pride Rock, where all the animals were waiting below. Kopa took one last look across the Pridelands before letting out an ear piercing roar. Vitani smiled at the new king and also let out an ear piercing roar. Kopa turned around and signalled for Kiara and Kovu, Tiifu and Jabari, and Zuri and Nia to join him. All 6 young lions and lionesses stood at the edge of Pride Rock and roared together, to welcome the dawning of a new era; The Kopa Era.
THE END
Zira entered the Wasteland where her brother Kifo had lived. Shenzi was not there to greet her. Instead, there was a skinny dark pelted lion waiting for Zira. "Who are you?" the lion demanded. "I'm Zira, brother of Kifo." Zira replied. "Oh, oh okay! You are free to pass!" The lion replied. Zira rolled her eyes and moved past the lion. She entered the cave where Kifo was recovering. She began to hear the chatter of what sounded like maybe twenty lions. She was gobsmacked when she entered the main room of the cave to see about thirty lions. She spotted Kifo sitting in the middle of the lions, and Kifo spotted her. "There she is!" Kifo roared. All the lions stopped talking and looked at Zira. "Everyone, you are looking at the murderer of Simba!" Kifo cheered. He chuckled as he walked towards Zira. "Long time no see." Zira said, trying to start a conversation with her brother. "It has." Kifo replied. "Tell me, Zira." He added. "Why are you here, exactly." Zira smiled evilly.
To be continued…
