As Alexis is sitting on her horse Azira with Shang and Mulan on their horses the group then hears commotion.
"The cart!" Alexis shouts seeing it's the cart rolling down the hill with the princess inside and Ling, Chien-Po, and Yao hanging onto it from the outside.
"They're headed for the cliff. Come on! Time to go ladies." Shang says as he, Alexis, and Mulan ride up to beside the cart.
"Ting Ting! Over here!" Ling shouts as Ting Ting pushes Mei out the window.
"Don't worry Mei. I got you!" Alexis shouts as she grabs Mei while Shang grabs Su.
"Ting Ting's stuck!" Ling shouts as Ting Ting gets her foot caught in trying to get out.
"What!?" Alexis asks in alarm.
"Mulan! The rope!" Shang shouts as he tosses Mulan a rope before the two try to slow the cart down with no avail as they all go off the cliff and into the water below.
"Is everyone all right!?" Shang asks as everyone surfaces.
"If by alright you mean water logged but yeah." Alexis says while coughing as Ling swims over to her.
"Mei! I'll save you!" Yao shouts as he swims over to Mei.
"I saved the food." Su says as she is grabbing some fruit.
"And I saved you." Chien-Po says as he picks Su up out of the water.
"Alexis are you okay?" Ling ask as he looks at Alexis concernedly as she nods while coughing.
"Yeah.. Gonna be coughing for a bit where I swallowed a good bit of water but otherwise I'm okay. You?" Alexis asks.
"Yeah." Ling says.
"Yao, Ling. Save the supplies." Shang says as he goes over to Mulan before the group begins to save what they can and get out of the water.
*Timeskip*
"This fire isn't a perfect one but at least this will help to keep us warm." Alexis says as she is stirring a fire for the princesses.
"No Alexis. It's fine. Thank you." Ting Ting says as Alexis smiles.
"Alexis?" A voice asks revealing to be Ling.
"Yes Ling?" Alexis asks as she notices Ling is holding something behind his back.
"I uh um.. well.. I found your fan. Your mother's fan. It was floating in the water. I grabbed it. It needed a bit of drying out but it's still as beautiful when I saw you with it." Ling says as he hands Alexis her fan.
"I hadn't even realized it fell out of my satchel. Thank you Ling. I would of been heart broken once I found it was missing. You didn't have to do that." Alexis says in surprise.
"No but I wanted to. I love doing things for you to see you smile.. Normally I'd make a joke but I don't figure you wanna hear it so I'll just leave you be." Ling says as he goes to leave before bumping into the stand holding a pot full of soup.
"Ling are you alright!?" Alexis asks as the princesses giggle a bit.
"Oh sorry.. Yeah.. I'll replace that." Ling says before walking off.
"Well that was.. different." Alexis says as she looks at Ling concerned.
"I think I know what's wrong." Mei says as Alexis looks at her.
"What's that your majesty?" Alexis asks curiously while smiling.
"He likes you." Mei says as she smiles before Alexis's smile disappears.
"No disrespect your highness but I honestly don't think that's it. Nobody would see me that way. I doubt Ling would. He's always been a close friend after I met him but that's all we will ever be." Alexis says kindly.
"But don't you like him?" Su asks as Alexis looks down.
"It doesn't matter if I do your highness. I won't let my heart be broken by attachment to someone who doesn't feel the same." Alexis says.
"You really don't see it? How can't you?" Mei asks as Alexis doesn't look at her.
"Mei! That's enough. She obviously doesn't want to talk about it. Do not force her to." Ting Ting says sternly as she looks at Mei.
"No your highness. Your sister is okay. She wasn't bothering me. But sometimes things can't always be what we want them. I can never be accepted for who I am by someone and I won't expect that of Ling. Besides I won't ruin my friendship with him for that. I am sorry. If you'll excuse me your highnesses I am going to go to my tent. Give a call if you need anything." Alexis says as she gets up and walks off.
