"Oh Alexis. There you are. I was actually wanting to talk to you." Mei says as Alexis walks by.
"Yes?" Alexis asks as she stops and looks at Mei.
"I wanted to apologize about what I was saying earlier. I shouldn't of just made an assumption even if it looked like he likes you. I also shouldn't of-" Mei then gets cut off by Alexis.
"Your highness forgive me for interrupting but it's alright. We all make mistakes. It's okay. I am not mad." Alexis says kindly as she smiles.
"You're correct about all of us making mistakes. What's important is that we learn from them." Ting Ting says as Alexis looks at her.
"Thank you Alexis. I am very happy you're not angry." Mei say as she smiles.
"How could I be? You just wanna see someone happy. There's nothing wrong with that.. But I won't lie to you about not seeing interest in him." Alexis says as she blushes slightly.
"So you do care for him?" Ting Ting asks curiously as she smiles slightly.
"Yes.. He's a close friend but that's all I think we'll ever be." Alexis says.
"You must for him a lot to feel this way." Ting Ting says as Alexis nods.
"Of course your highness. Is the tea still hot? I can get more fired wood." Alexis says before Yao, Chien-Po, and Ling fall out of the bushes fighting.
"Yao! Is everything all right?" Mei asks as the boys stop fighting.
"No. I mean yes. You see Chien-Po here has always had a dream." Yao says as he gestures to Chien-Po.
"A dream?" Su asks.
"A dream?" Chien-Po asks.
"A dream." Yao says.
"But I don't- Ooh! Oh that dream." Chien-Po says as Yao hits him in the stomach.
"A dream of seeing a small village in the middle of nowhere by the moonlight." Yao says.
"How can we help?" Su asks excitedly.
"Well if your highnesses and Alexis would consent to come with us to the village we could still guard you and Chien-Po could have his dream." Yao says.
"My once change to be like other guys." Chien-Po says dreamily.
"Can we? Ting Ting can we please? Oh please, please, please. Ting Ting please!" Mei and Su says shout pleadingly before Ting Ting looks at Alexis.
"It's okay your highness. I'll be there along with the guards." Alexis says as she gives a reassuringly smile.
"Sounds like fun." Ting Ting says before the group cheers only to quickly be quiet.
"We're off!" Ling says as the group leaves.
*Timeskip*
"Wow! Look at all the food!" Su shouts happily as the group arrives and splits into pairs with Ting Ting going with Chien-Po and Su. As Alexis is walking with Ling she is fanning herself slightly as she notices Ling smile.
"What's with the smile?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Well since you didn't like my other jokes how about this one? What does Attila say when he walks through the door? Hun I'm home!" Ling asks as he laughs before seeing Alexis is covering her mouth with her fan while giving a nervous look.
"I give up. I guess I'm not as funny I think. Even my own best friend doesn't think I'm funny." Ling says sadly before he stands near some firecrackers that go off and get attacked by them before making a funny face after. Alexis then starts laughing while trying to stop.
"Oh ling I'm sorry!" Alexis says as she is laughing with an embarrassed look.
"Why are you apologizing? You're laugh is adorable." Ling says as he goes over to Alexis.
"No it's not. I shouldn't be laughing." Alexis says as she finally stops laughing.
"What? Why not?" Ling asks in disbelieve.
"Because it's not looked upon for a lady to laugh.. Especially at a man like that. She's supposed to always keep herself composed and show restraint. I'm ashamed of myself for laughing like that." Alexis says as she looks down.
"What? Who went and told you a thing like that? That you should never laugh?" Ling asks in shock.
"Take a lucky guess." Alexis says.
"Dragon lady?" Ling asks as Alexis nods.
"Dragon lady. She said if I wanted to find a husband on my own than I needed to act more like a lady instead of more like my sister. I actually began to do that because I thought if I could at least act the part I could find someone who I won't ever have to reveal my secret to. But I know that my secret ever being accepted is foolish dreaming." Alexis says sadly.
"You're kidding? You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen and now that I've seen your beautiful laugh to me you're like a goddess." Ling says as Alexis gives a surprised look.
"Do you mean that?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Of course. I've always looked at you like that." Ling says as Alexis smiles.
"Why didn't you ever say anything?" Alexis asks.
"Because I thought you didn't feel that way about me. I thought a girl like you could do so much better than a soldier like me." Ling says embarrassedly.
"Then I guess we're two of a kind than." Alexis says before she kisses Ling on the lips.
"You kissed me?" Ling asks as he touches his lips with his fingers.
"Well yeah. I love you Ling." Alexis says as she smiles.
"Really?" Ling asks happily.
"Yeah.. Even more so now that I know you feel the same. I'm sorry I ran off on you the other day. I was just afraid of embarrassing myself." Alexis says apologetically.
"Well you could never embarrass yourself with me. I love you for who you are. I honestly just thought you didn't think I was funny." Ling says.
"Ling you're the most funny guy I know. You not being funny is impossible." Alexis says as she kisses Ling again before pulling him along as she walks while smiling.
